Palepaw glanced at Brightoaw before focusing on Kestrelstar again as he spoke.
She wanted her oath to mean something, to be more than an 'I do', and yet nothing came to mind. No matter how much she wanted to add flair to her promise, she couldn't make herself think of anything.
She shoved the thought to the side as Brightpaw managed to speak up before she did. With his own promise out of the way, she had no more time to contemplate how she would say it. "With everything I am, I do so promise."

While I do not (currently) have any cats in the Clan's, I try to have at least a few role plays with my outsiders (Sedgestorm, Woollyfeather) and my StarClanner Coldamber. Most of my role plays until I feel well enough to keep up with sweeps will be related to Covenant of the Sky duties.
Hearing both cats speak their oath, their vow, Kestrelstar couldn't help but feel pride. RiverClan was thriving. Despite everything, despite the deaths that plagued his leadership like a hawk's shadow, despite ThunderClan more than likely planning retaliation, life moved on. New warriors, who were an excellent addition to the Clan, always marked points of strength.
Each of their oaths had been made to fit them, each forgoing the tradition, simple answer in favor of one that represented them better.
"Then by my power as Clan leader, I give you your warrior names. Palepaw [ @Rainquail ], from this moment on you shall be known as Palehound. We honor your devotion and candor, and welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan." He'd taken a bit to pick out her name, wanting it to be a display of both her loyalty and ferociousness, yet the softer, compassionate side Kestrelstar had gotten a glimpse into when she had saved Petuniapaw from the seagulls down at Lionsbeach.
Without another word, the leader reached forward and briefly rested his chin on the top of her head. "Congratulations," he breathed so that just she could hear, before backing away.
Swinging his gaze over to Brightpaw, the leader couldn't fight the tiniest of smiles. He recalled when the young cat had come seeking shelter in RiverClan. He'd been Fizzlepaw then, a young, scared apprentice who had left ThunderClan. He had trained well to get to this point, and Kestrelstar let it show in his eyes the pride he felt.
"Brightpaw [ @Angelique ], from this moment on your shall be known as Brightdream. We honor your perseverance and bravery, and welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan." Briefly again, he rested his chin atop Brightdream's head before moving away.
Yellow eyes shone with a momentary flash of hope as he allowed a moment for the Clan to call the new names and welcome Palehound and Brightdream.

"Sunpaw, this is my sister Moonfrost. She is Rainingpaw's mentor. We'll be working with them a lot," Wolfsong mewed as she returned to her seat next to Moonfrost.
~ Sunpaw ~
Sunpaw smiled up at her mentor. She waved her tail as if telling Milkpaw that she’ll be okay.
Sunpaw had no idea who Rainingpaw was, but she hoped they would get along. She really did want to do some of her training with Milkpaw though. He was very very kind to her and showed her how to do many things and still be blind.
Sunpaw sniffed at Moonfrost, taking in her scent. She seemed nice enough. Sunpaw carefully made her way over to sit beside her new mentor.
Sunpaw’s blind gaze returned to the clan meeting. Two apprentices we’re getting their warrior names today. It was an exciting event. She could hardly believe she was one step closer to becoming a warrior! Hopefully her training will be somewhat easy.
“Palehound! Brightdream!” Sunpaw chanted along with her clan.
"Palehound! Brightdream! Palehound! Brightdream!" The tom cried, happiness filling him and causing him to forget the darkness that had been groping at the edge of his vision for the past couple moons, "Congratulations!" He added.
If only Pinewatch was here, if only she had stayed in RiverClan, if only she realized how much better RiverClan was than ThunderClan, they would be celebrating these new warriors together.
But now Hawthornmist was alone, utterly alone.

Snowstripe did the same as the young apprentice and chanted the new names and smiled at the both of them. "Palehound brightdream Palehound Brightdream." she chanted loudly
"Palehound! Brightdream! Palehound! Brightdream! Icefall chanted. The melancholic feeling rooted deep in her heart formed a barrier of other emotions, even that of excitement for the new generation of warriors to strengthen her clan. But she fortified her voice to put every bit of congratulatory and genuine well-wishes she could muster into her voice as she welcomed the new warriors. Her problems did not take away from the hard work it took for these two young cats to make it to this point.
"Palehound! Brightdream! Palehound! Brightdream!" Shinestone and Palebrook changed, joining their Clanmates' cheers. Frostpaw meowed, "Palehound. Brightdream. Yay." She didn't feel like cheering. Unless it was her. Then Frostpaw would cheer, loud and clear.

"Palehound! Brightdream! Palehound! Brightdream!" Shallowstep yowled. Celebrating new warriors was incredibly important especially at the position were in at the moment. He thought brightly.
