Wolfpaw wasn't happy, to say the least. He waited until Larkswoop was gone to slip out of the medicine den and hurry over to Bumbles. "Bumble. Needa tell ya somethin," the medicine cat said as he hobbled in, green eyes glowing with rage. "Larkswoop came in my den n started off with 'I dont want to talk to you any more then you want to talk to me' and started talkin about some crap like expecting kits or somethin. But I do not tolerate disrespect, so I kicked her out. Just wanted to let you know in case she tries ta come to you and lie," he explained, leaning on the den wall. "She's gotten on my bad side one too many times, so if you see her tell her not to come to me. Also, before she left she said she wasn't gonna allow her spawn near me," he told the leader.

Raggedear stopped mid-groom as Bumblestar called his name. ”Stars…what did I do?” He mumbled to himself, but still cheerily made his way over to the leader’s den. ”You called?” He mewed with a wave of his tail, yellow eyes flashing with curiosity. She had called two others, so surely he wasn’t in trouble…right? He mentally shrugged to himself. Only one way to find out.
Stepping through the leafy curtain of lichen, the graceful she cat blinked her frost colored eyes slowly as she glanced around the den to clock all who occupied it. Her long and luxurious coat, black as a starless night, went from dappled to the sunlight outside to blending in with the shadows of the den and moving with a fluid elegance. Lavendersong padded quietly yet quickly towards Bumblestar and Raggedear, dipping her head in a respectful greeting to the two. Her ears pricked with curiosity, but the demure she cat held her regal composure and sat back on her haunches.
"Bumblestar, you called for me?" She purred melodically before giving her sleek chest fur a few licks.
Brackenclaw- He/Him, 25 moons old, Thunderclan Hornet. Purrks: Just a Scratch.
Brackenclaw heard his leaders call loud and clear and would head for the den. However, Brackenclaw wouldn't sit down in the den. Brackenclaw just didn't want to disrespect his leader by showing that amount of comfort when he was supposed to be taking in orders. Brackenclaw would bow his head to Bumblestar respectfully to his leader before turning his huge head and nodding respectfully to Wolfpaw and Hollowpaw. This was Brackenclaw's greeting besides talking as he would extend a nod to Raggedear and Lavendersong. Only after greeting everyone would he bring his full attention back to his Leader. Bumblestar had orders for him and he wasn't about to miss them. @dino. @TanghuluCat @twizzypaw @Bean @Neptune.
"I can teach 'em what I've been doing," he offers. Does he really want to? No. He's not a mentor. He does, however, enjoy the feeling of knowing more than other cats, so that's something to look forward to.
Brow twitching in irritation, Hollowpaw only nods in response to his leader. Pay more attention to these things? He didn't even know it was a prophecy or whatever when it was happening! Did she expect him to magically gain a picture perfect memory or something?? How can any cat remember the exact words of some random poetic sounding crap that was only said to them once? Honestly, she was lucky Hollowpaw remembered what he did! He says nothing, though, and waits for the three she called into the den to show up, abnormally long tail curled over his paws.

Alright, a camp for the sick. "If hollow wants ta teach them, I don't mind. I can if needed, though," he said laying down. His legs were starting to hurt now. He watched as his leader called the three cats into her den... how come Brackenclaw, and not a hornet? He didn't really care though. He twitched his ear at bumblestar's 'lecture' about needing to remember stuff. TO BE FAIR: The prophecy was super long, how the hell were they supposed to remember every. Single. Detail???
He watched as the three cats came into the leaders den, Wolfpaw's green hues bounced between the cats in the den. Alright, the silence was getting weird now, could bumblestar just hurry up and tell them already?
Good, quick was good. Hopefully that punctuality would hold up for the rest of their trip. Bumblestar stepped back to make room for the three as they entered.
"Thank you. Sorry to call you all in so rapidly." She sat down, sweeping her tail over her paws and clearing her throat. Might as well start with the biggest part of it. "Listen up for a second.
"A storm's cry will bring despair
Knowledge kept outside of reach
Death shall linger in the air
...'n then there's a line Wolfpaw can't remember...
The mournful moon will guide their way,
Through woods and plains they will wander,
To trials that will make them pay,
A new friend they cannot squander
United they will pass the test;
A ragged fool who never wavers,
And prove himself among the best
Lavender will find herself to be braver,
And bring the Clan well needed rest."
It was... long, as far as prophecies went. Hopefully they could remember it, or someone would reach out to them if they forgot it along the way.
"Basically," she explained, "Raggedear, Lavendersong, you two have been chosen to go on a journey. The illness is getting worse, 'n something must be seriously wrong if we need to send cats out to search for an actual cure. Or, someone who has the cure, at least."
She turned to the newest Hornet. "Brackenclaw, you've not been named, but I still want you to go. If anything happens, three sets of claws are better than two. You'll be in charge of makin' sure they get to wherever they're going safely and as quickly as possible, 'n doing the same thing back.
"One of the lines says 'The mournful moon will guide their way'. So I'm assuming that means you need to follow the path the moon takes to find whoever has the cure for this. I need you three to set out immediately. Do whatever you need to do in terms of preparation, say your goodbyes, but you should be gone before noon today."
The fatigue, the coughing, the general misery that came from being sick has gotten to the point where he could hardly leave the den. It was rough before, now he was limper than a wet noodle with a crusty nose and nausea. Once the den repairs were done he had crept into the den and wasn't looking forward to relocating with the encroaching quarantine. Oh, don't get him wrong - he understood it was necessary and all that jazz, he just... Did not want to. Too ick. Want cuddle and nap. Grump grump.
It was a sensation not unfamiliar to him - he'd been sick before and disabled by the ailment - but Stars, somehow this felt almost worse. Paired with everyone else getting it, and it not being quite Leaf-fall... it made him wonder if..
Well, his 'ma was here.
He weakly wiggled over to bop against her, just enough to get her attention. "you know..." it probably sounded as pathetic as he looked, given his voice had largely been lost during the reconstruction. "... all this sick..ness.. do you think... its the fish again?" They certainly made their return very known to ThunderClan specifically, paired with the odd timing... (their recent return marked close to the start) and the symptoms... his, they reminded him of when he ate that tainted prey all those moons ago.
Pinepaw padded up to Bumblestar's den with a bit of a hop in his step. The hawk skull was in his jaws, and he noted the badger skull hanging on the wall. If she liked that, she was sure she'd like this gift! "Bumblestar? I brought a gift for you. I, uh... thought you would like it." he said with a soft smile. Placing down the hawk skull in front of his leader, he sat down with his tail curled around his paws, waiting for her response.

Would she ever be free of Larkswoop drama? Bumblestar was beginning to think that day would never come. Her ears twisted back irritably as Wolfpaw launched into his explanation of what had happened.
"Noted. Look, if you don't wanna put up with her, that's your choice. It's your den, you've got the authority on who you bother to look after if they want to cause issues. You did right. Did she try to start a fight or anything?"
Raggedear blinked slowly at Bumblestar's urgent words- a prophecy, nonetheless. A prophecy. He felt as if the world was spinning beneath his paws for a moment. StarClan trusted him to carry out such a monumentous task? The tom shook his head, jerking himself out of his thoughts. Yellow eyes burned with a mixture of determination and anticipation.
"Don't worry, Bumblestar, this 'ragged fool' won't let ThunderClan down!" He mewed, lifting his tail high as he cast a glance towards Lavendersong and Brackenclaw. "Pleasure to be traveling with you two! We can do this quickly with this many paws." He purred before turning towards Hollowpaw and Wolfpaw. "I know herbs are tight right now but...will you have any traveling herbs to spare for us? We could always stop to hunt on the way out, but if you happen to have them, that might save us a day on our trip." He asked the two young medicine cats, gaze thoughtful. "StarClan has given us a chance to find a cure, and we'll damn sure find it."
Brackenclaw- He/Him, 25 moons, Thunderclan Hornet. Purrks: Just a Scratch.
Brackenclaw was chosen to help make sure the cure to the unknown sickness was brought back safely. Brackenclaw felt a since of pride that he was decided to go since he was so new to being a Hornet he assumed that a more experienced Hornet would be chosen for something so important but if Bumblestar thought he could handle this then who was he to argue. Brackenclaw would simply dip his head in the utmost respect towards his leader and meow with his deep and dark voice. "If that is what you will of me then I will do my utmost to see it through." Brackenclaw meowed his voice was intimidating as well as his looks being a huge Maine Coon with rippling muscles long brown fur white patch under his chin and down his chest and orange eyes that seemed to pierce into the very soul of whoever he was looking at. @dino. @TanghuluCat @twizzypaw

Re: ThunderClan Leader's Den
And in a sweeping moment, the swift entrance of their fearless leader caused Lavendersong to perk up in an instant as her timid demeanor shifted into a state of alert and readiness. There was such a poised and confident aura that surrounded Bumblestar in the way that she carried herself, Lavendersong couldn't help but stare with a wide, admiring gaze. It almost felt wrong for Lavendersong to even be here. Surely, this has to be some mistake? But as their great leader began to speak and recite the prophecy, her pale cosmic eyes seemed to only widen as Bumblestar spoke of the line that included her. On one hand, it was an honor to serve StarClan and be called upon for this quest, but... she felt a pang of shame in her chest at the realization that the prophecy wasn't lying. When push comes to shove, she knew she could muster the strength to push through but... fear gripped her. The fear of not being a good enough warrior, the fear of her emotionally turbulent apprentice and how easily the dark side can influence, the fear of never having a family. Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, Lavendersong's elegant and sleek pelt black as onyx rose and fell as she took in what was to come and the details of their journey. She nodded along with Bumblestar until she was finished and turned her attention to Raggedear as he chimed in. The elegant young she cat lifted her long feathery tail from her paws to cover her maw as she hushed her soft giggles at Raggedear's rather amusing comment referencing the prophecy. She could already tell he was going to be a fun travel buddy for sure, as the previous tension she felt eased from the humorous jab.
"I second what Raggedear said!" Lavendersong chimed in brightly to Bumblestar as she quelled her laughs and turned to Raggedear upon catching his glance. She dipped her head politely towards him to return his warm greeting and as she began to lift her haunches to pad closer to the medicine cat apprentices to also inquire about herbs, the graceful she cat caught the sound of the other cat who would be joining them on their journey. Brackenclaw, one of the other hornets, with his intimidating demeanor and rugged sounding voice. Lavendersong's skin prickled under her fur as her frosted lilac eyes briefly grazed over Brackenclaw's large and brooding frame and caught his burning stare that was intense like the rising run. She was unsure of how to approach him to at least greet him before their departure, but figured he didn't want to be disturbed. In Lavendersong's eyes, the hornets were fierce soldiers that couldn't be bothered with trivial things. They all had a sense of confidence and strength about them, something Lavendersong admired deeply. Especially about Wolfhive. Suddenly thinking maybe this trip would be a good opportunity to learn more about her secret crush through Brackenclaw, her meek smile widened as she glanced at the two apprentice's she was padding towards and nimbly joined them and Raggedear for the conversation about herbs, "I'll do my best... and extra herbs for hunger would be wonderful, thank you." Lavendersong purred in her signature, melodic and sweet voice, sitting back on her haunches with the group and folding her tail over her dainty paws demurely.

Ok, finally, bumblestar got to the point. He turned his head to Raggedear as they talked, Wolfpaw didn't really care much. "Traveling herbs? I dunno what herbs they are, sorry. Can't really help much with that," he muttered apologetically. "Before you go me n' hollow can teach ya some essential herbs in case one of ya get hurt, though," he offered, glancing over to the younger medic.
