(I already posted Crest in the clearing talking to Sunsong, but I'm going to post from before that happened)
Crestfeather inhaled deeply, disturbing her rythmic breathing as she awoke. The molly shifted and blinked a few times, parting her jaws in a large yawn. She smiled as her groggy eyes landed on Soaringcrane and she felt her mate's tail intertwined with her own. With consciousness, fear started seeping in. She was nervous about her new life with a mate and about being a mother. The she-cat needed someone to talk to and to be out of the stuffy den. Sure, sleeping in the small nest with Soaringcrane had been mixed, but she was beginning to feel cramped. Gingerly, she untwined her feathery tail from his and shifted away from him as slowly and carefully as possible so as not to wake him. The warrior padded softly from the den, pausing to glance at her sleeping mate with affectionate eyes before she ducked under the leaves of the den and out into the clearing.

He knew training to become a warrior was hard work, but he was ready for it. Rowanpaw would try his best to be the greatest apprentice that WindClan would ever have.Well......his siblings would try their best too. He was sure that his siblings would be great apprentices, then warriors. As well as his best friend, Cloverpaw. The reddish-brown tabby she-cat was the first friend that he had ever made. The tom loved the way that she made him laugh. Rowanpaw laughed lightely, thinking of her. Her shook his head and turned to see Cloverpaw behind him.
"Oh, hi there Cloverpaw! That was quite a coincidence, I was just thinking about you. I-I mean not that I like you or anything....I-I just....well.....I think you get it.....do you?" Rowanpaw meowed, blushing. Well, great job Rowanpaw. He shifted his weight and shiffled his paws, clearly embarrassed. But, he wasn't going to let that ruin his mood. "So, did you see me out there? Getting promoted to an apprentice? I can't believe that I'm old enough and that I'll be sleeping in here now. I'm sure Brightpaw and Larkpaw are excited, as well. Aren't you glad? Now we can train together! Oh.....sorry, I talk to much." Rowanpaw meowed.

Cloverpaw had padded into the den behind Rowanpaw with intentions to congratulate him on his new rank. She felt prideful, being the older and more experienced of the two, and she was definitely happy to be able to welcome the younger apprentice into the lifestyle of an apprentice. She strode into the den with an aurora of authority, her steps firmly placed and her tail swinging casually behind her. The moment her gaze settled on the ginger tomcat before her, though, was when her facade faded. Cloverpaw inched forward, planning on surprising Rowanpaw - probably by tackling him. Her tongue slipped out the corner of her mouth, her teeth carefully putting pressure on it in concentration. At the sound of his light laughter, which actually caused her heart to flutter, she thought she had been caught and put her plan to rest. Cloverpaw did believe Rowanpaw was an adorable cat, the cutest of cute, but she'd never considered him as a crush. Perhaps, during apprenticeship, she would acknowledge emotions
she hadn't even known had existed within her?
She grinned at him when he turned around, finding his stuttering amusing. Cloverpaw giggled, observing his embarrassment. She decided to remain silent, and let Rowanpaw attempt to mend that embarrassment. She felt warm, though, to know that Rowanpaw thought about her even when they weren't together. She padded closer, her pelt brushing his as she retreated to her comfortable nest. ``Of course I saw you, Rowanpaw! I'm very excited that we can be apprentices together! Now we can share techniques and go to gatherings with one another!`` Settling in her nest, Cloverpaw offered her paw a brief lick before looking back at her friend. ``You don't talk too much. If anything, I talk too much!`` She laughed softly at this, nearly forgetting Rowanpaw's nervous introduction. She didn't forget, though, and was actually just reminded of his stuttering mess. At the reminder, she couldn't help but tease in a lighthearted tone, ``So, you think about me?``

(Alright. I'll stalk it and maybe once she's done he can bring her breakfast)
Soaringcrane let out a grunt as he turned over, smiling as he reached out a forepaw to hold Crestfeather but all he did was bring a few stray heather tendrils towards him. His amber eyes flew open in a panic. Sitting up he looked around wildly. "Crestfeather?" He whimpered as he sniffed around before realizing she went outside already. He sighed, flattening his ears to his head. Truth be told, Soaringcrane felt hurt. He had thought he would wake up to the beautiful she cat nestled into the crook of his body. Frowning, he got up and gave himself a quick washing. Is she mad at me? He wondered. Though his better judgement told him that she would never get mad at him unless it was for a good reason, his panic consumed him. I can apologize by getting breakfast! He said feeling very pleased with himself. I'll catch her a fat rabbit!

Searwhisper woke up with a spasm clenching her stomach. She let out a small gasp and another spasm reached her, much stronger than the last. The Savannah cat yowled in pain as she dug her claws deep into her nest made of heather stalks. More spasms reached her and she clenched her teeth together. The kits were coming.
- Time Skip -
Searwhisper licked each of her kits clean and smiled. These kits are my own. And I'm sure that they will grow up to be WindClan's greatest warriors. Even if one becomes a Medicine Cat, I will still be proud of them. She briefly thought of the kits' father, Burn. I can't believe he used me, he was just so handsome and........charming. I can't belive I was so gullible. Now I'm stuck with kits. But it's not their fault that their father doesn't want them......it's mine. The molly shook her head and turned her attention back to her kits. Searwhisper looked them over, one by one. "Echokit, Blizzardkit, Cloudedkit, Scorshingkit, and Rowankit." Searwhisper named them. "Yes, fine names indeed." She said, smiling down at her newborn kits.
- Blizzardkit's POV -
The tiny speckled tom yawned and snuggled up against his mother's stomach. He stretched his paws out and sniffed around, trying to scent his mother's milk. Blizzardkit began to suckle and the rich liquid flowed into his mouth.
|
Almost immediately, the newly named Rowankit was wriggling around in search for the tantalizing scent reaching her. The tiny she-kit reached her mother's stomach, where the source of this smell was, and eagerly began to suckle until she filled her belly. Once she was full and her stomach warm, the young kit curled into herself and quickly dozed off, her orange chest rising and falling in rhythm.

Would he be cruel and unforgiving like Halite, or calm and quiet like the other leaders? Curious to figure out, she began making her way towards the tom. Her blue eyes were focused on him, curiosity glimmering within them. "Hello, Blazingstar." She meowed shyly, flicking her ears. "How is your day going?" She questioned, shuffling her feet awkwardly and pinning her ears back as she waited for the leader's response. There was movement in his field of blurry vision. Blazingstar blinked and suddenly his vision was clear as there was a rather pretty feline headed his direction. Oh wait. This was the Dusk Syndicate she-cat. His ears pricked up and his posture improved slightly as she drew closer to him. He made sure to put on his thinking hat as he awaited the words she was wanting to speak. Surprisingly, she was being rather friendly and trying to start small talk. He didn't question it. What was he thinking? That she was going to try to manipulate him right off the bat? What a leader he was. Blazingstar silently scolded himself before clearing his throat to speak in the friendliest tone he could muster to a feline he hardly knew the past of. "Greetings, Rosethorn. All is well, how are you settling?" he inquired, taking note of her body language. Was she... nervous? Really? It confused him a bit, normally the felines that openly walked up to him were rather on the friendly, boisterous side. Oh well, he can't change the personality of his clan mates and he certainly won't call them out on it, that just wasn't who he was. He'd simply try his best to ensure they got a good first impression of him, that was the most important.

"I'm settling in quite fine, thank you for asking." Rosethorn replied, flicking an ear. "I was considering going out for a run, but I hardly know where the WindClan territory begins and ends!" She let out a nervous laugh. "I still need to get used to the various clan scents." She confessed, flicking her tail in embarrassment. Her blue eyes glanced towards the entrance as a few cats walked through, returning from a hunting trip. It was curious how the Clans worked, in comparison to the Syndicate. The healer was considered to be a 'high-rank', and warriors did the work equally. No hunters, no fighters. Just... warriors. It was interesting, especially since Rosethorn was mostly accustomed to hunting. She hadn't received any battle training, making her practically useless in the clans. She frowned to herself, mulling her words over before speaking again. "Also... I was wondering if I could get some battle training?" She let out an embarrassed cough. "I was a hunter back at the Syndicate, so I know next to nothing about fighting."

Blazingstar's ears pricked once again. Had he really not thought about assigning her a mentor.. or a cat to at least teach her the ropes. Was he really so caught up in his thoughts, he was failing as a leader? The thought scared him and for a moment it was written in his eyes before he hid the emotion behind a friendly gaze. For the moment, Blazingstar dwelled on the thought before he had to push it to the side. Perhaps Galespring was correct, maybe he needed to stop worrying so much about other things and do what was best for him and the clan. No. He knew she was right. The clan came first. It always came first. His chest filled with determination to clean up his act. First, he'd get Alderscreech and settle things with Snowstar and then he'd presume his clan duties without the stress of other worries. "That's good to hear," he responded, hiding the fact he let a few moments between them slip. "Windclan will be your home soon. You will know it like you knew the Dusk Syndicate. It'll be like an apprentice learning the territory for the first time, you'll get it eventually. You're wild, it'll come naturally," he spoke, blinking a warm gesture. "And I'll make sure someone gets you involved in some training. Perhaps watching a few sessions with other warriors and apprentices would be a good start. It takes a long time to learn," he warned, flicking his tail a bit. Blazingstar wasn't picky in his warriors. If they wished to never grasp fighting, so be it, they simply wouldn't be allowed to partake in battles or go on border patrols. Queens especially. He's noticed some queens here loved the idea of staying a queen their whole warrior life and he didn't try to stop them. It was truly up to them.

Rosethorn noticed the brief panic in Blazingstar's eyes, and she was ready to say something about before he hurried on to continue speaking. Closing her mouth, she listened carefully. Rosethorn nodded, flicking an ear in interest. "Thank you, Blazingstar." She said genuinely. That was something she didn't have to pretend. Gazing into Blazingstar's eyes for a brief moment, a strange, unfamiliar emotion rose up in her chest. Her heart began beating at a slightly faster pace, and her fur began to heat up. It was odd to say the least. Pushing away the strange feeling, Rosethorn cleared her throat. "So, um..." She was at a loss for words, trying to figure out what to say. "I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me on my run? I don't really... know anyone else, and um..." She flicked an ear with nervous embarrassment. "I don't think the others like me very much." Blue eyes met with golden ones, and she let out a quick cough to break the brief silence.

Fawnskip trotted out from the warriors den where she had been hiding after completing her duties. She had just finished grooming her pelt which was actually her most prized possession. She knew she was a gorgeous feline, and she used her beauty to her advantage. For example, Blazingstar. Fawnskip had the ginger tom's attention, and she knew it. She had lured him in with her unique physical appearance - he himself must've thought, at least once, that she was a pretty cat - and she would continue to keep him hooked with her genuine nature. Unlike Rosethorn, Fawnskip wasn't deceiving Blazingstar. She believed that toms preferred real, not fake, which is why she felt she always held such an advantage with toms. Most she-cats pretended to be someone they were not.
Immediately, her gaze settled on the handsome ginger tomcat she was already calling her own. Fawnskip felt jealousy burst through her. She knew Blazingstar was a flirtatious tom - she's experienced it firsthand. How dare he flirt with someone other than me! Blazingstar hadn't been flirting, but Fawnskip didn't know that. She lashed her tail, scowling darkly as she glared at Rosethorn from behind Blazingstar. Quickly, she removed her hateful gaze, offering a tuft of fur on her shoulder a quick lick. Squaring her shoulders and breathing heavily, Fawnskip worked her magic. She strode elegantly over to the two cats, her posture rather impressive. A warm smile brightened her features, her golden eyes twinkling with her usual mischievous gleam. ``Hello, Blazingstar,`` Fawnskip purred in greeting, brushing against him before sitting beside him, making sure their pelts were always touching. This was her way of telling Rosethorn that Blazingstar was hers, and only hers. She then looked to Rosethorn.``Er - I don't believe we've met?`` Her tone of voice remained soft and polite. Though she was suspicious, she had no reason yet to truly dislike the other female. After all, Fawnskip wasn't sure Blazingstar and Rosethorn had been flirting.
