Cheering for the new warrior, with all the cries of Beansprout, Beansprout! Splashleap felt like they were a whole clan. That was why she loved warrior ceremonies. Everyone was happy, no one was sulking around, everyone was glad that there were more warriors to defend the clan.

Lizardpaw was miserable. In fact, that was an understatement. Lizardpaw was more than miserable. She'd never been sad in her entire life. She'd never cried and, though she wasn't about to, anyone else would have. She knew she'd get her position renewed as a warrior once she proved her loyalty. Still, she couldn't help but feel miserable.

Fawnkit was confused. Why had all the cats said the warrior’s new name? He didn’t know, but joined in uncertainly. He wondered if Reedkit would have an explanation when the meeting was over. Well, obviously, he would, he had a explanation for everything. But the tom was too focused on the new warrior. He had a cool name!

Snakepaw was late but to be fair he was napping after a long night. So when he wandered out yawning widly with a piece of moss still stuck to the side of his head he didnt expect to walk out to see a devastated Foxblaze. Just what was said to upset his mother like this?! Hurrying over to the molly Snakepaw butt his head against her side, ignoring the announcements as he softly asked "Are you ok Mom? Whats wrong, are you hurt? I can get some poppy seeds for you if youre in pain..."

Foxblaze shook all over her body as she cried. Oh, oh her boy was here. She wrapped one of her front legs around him and pulled him closer, “Nono my love. This is inside pain.” She whispered. She didn’t think he needed to know what happened right now. All that mattered was that she never died and he didn’t either. She stifled another yowl from escaping so it sounded more like a moan of pain. Sugarapple..... I miss you so much.
