Cinder'Paw looked at him blinking before saying awkwardly."It's probably best if we stick together for now...We wouldn't want to end up fighting by our selves...". She had a soothing smile on her features.

Rabbitpaw nodded. “Y-yeah.. but..” He lowered his head. “C-can we just stay in the territory until the battle is over?”

Cinder'Paw Nodded before she laughed a bit."I may be reckless but im not that stupid, there is no way I would rush headfirst into a place filled with traitors". She then looked around before she spotted a mouse nearby, she crouched silently as she stalked it before she lept at it. In one swift motion, she bit hard into the plump body until it went limp in her jaws."Hwre (Here)".She said through muffled fur as she dropped the mouse at Rabbit'paw's paws.

Rabbitpaw looked at the mouse. He had to admit, he was hungry but he wasn’t going to eat it. “N-no, the warrior code says you should always serve.. the... clan....” He trailed off when he remembered what was currently happening. “R-right..” He pushed the mouse over to Cinderpaw. “Y-you can have it, I’m not that hungry..”

Cinder'Paw looked at him hearing him say that made her face twist a bit in sadness, she knew what Rabbit'Paw was saying but at the moment who was a clanmate or who was a traitor besides it's better to eat then die of starvation."H-How about we share then?".Saying this stubbornly but softly she took a small bite before nudging it towards the tom, she swallowed her portation of the prey before flashing a small smile.

Cinder'Paw ears flattened before she spoke in a bit of an upset tone."I-I think its better if you eat now, the sun is setting and all the prey will be going to sleep, plus if we are staying in the territory we are going to have to find a place to rest that's well hidden and won't expose us". She nudged the Mouse further towards Rabbit'Paw before she stood up and glanced at the tom."Im gonna go find somewhere to rest...". She said in a low mumble as she padded off, a little while away she found a large hole in a large hollow tree, she rushed back to Rabbit'Paw."Not far from here is a hollow tree, we can stay there for now..". She said cheerfully trying to lighten the conversation.

Rabbitpaw watched as she left. He sighed and buried the mouse. She’s right.. He thought as he placed the dirt over the small hole. But I can hunt later. He jumped to his paws and let out a hiss as Cinderpaw returned. “G-get away from- Oh...” He let his fur lay flat as he sheathed his claws. “I- I’m sorry, I thought you were someone else..”

At Duskwing's statement, the tom blinked in surprise - she had just said something Sunmist himself had voiced to others time and time again. It was actually exactly how he felt regarding work, and he eyed her for a moment curiously. "Well, we're more alike than I thought! I'm the same way... I need something to keep my paws busy. Relaxation is basically just a fantasy to me," an amused snort accompanied his words, and he shook his head. "Honestly, even when I'm an elder I don't see myself resting. I'm bound to find one thing or another to work on."

Returning the molly's smile, Sunmist thought back to how he and his littermate had been when they were young. "I wasn't shy back then - though I wouldn't call myself shy now, either. Just quieter. I was much louder as an apprentice. Lightpaw wasn't shy, either, really outgoing actually. Neither of us would back away from a challenge." His whiskers twitched at fond memories of friendly sibling competitions. Lightpaw had really been Sunmist's best friend. As much as he missed her now, he was still grateful that he had any time at all with the she-cat. Mind coming back to the present, he gave a short nod towards Duskwing. He was sure that, eventually, her brother would be in a much better mental state.

"Oh, trust me," Sunmist puffed his chest out in an exaggerated, show-off way. "I can be very stern." Pausing for a moment of thought, the tom continued. "When I decided to change from that arrogant apprentice into a more responsible warrior, I definitely went too far in the other extreme to start with. For a while, I was no fun to be around at all. Way too stern." He gave a soft chuckle, thinking of how he truly had changed so much over the moons. From a rambunctious kit, to a rambunctious and arrogant apprentice, then a strict young warrior, and now a reasonably responsible one who knows how to have a bit of fun now and then. I wonder if I'll come full circle in my elderhood and become the party elder. His thoughts made him laugh, and he shook his head before dismissing the thought. "Oh, you don't have to if you don't want to!" The tom rushed to reassure Duskwing, but fell silent as he waited for the story.

Sunmist grinned at the end of the story. "Sounds like you were just being a good littermate to me." He laughed along with her for a moment. "I have to ask - before you got pulled apart, who was winning? The punishment is almost worth it, if you showed that Thunderclan mousebrain that his clan isn't as good as he thought." Another grin spread across his maw before a thought occurred to him. "Most toms - especially young ones - try to rile up mollies because he thinks she's pretty. Stupid way to try and get their attention, I know. But that's probably why he was so set on taunting you." Sunmist hadn't ever taken to trying to start a fight in order to get a molly's attention, but his boasting was certainly his way to try and get pretty she-cats to like him. Obviously that tactic hadn't worked; he gave it up after his incident at his first Gathering.

Duskwing's whiskers twitched in amusement at the elder comment. For a moment, she considered what she would end up being like as an elder. Quite possibly the same as what Sunmist thought of himself; Finding things to do still. "If we both end up in the Elders' den together, at least we'll be able to help each other find things to do." She smirked, throwing in a teasing comment after -- "As long as you don't end up getting lazy on me."

A chuckle escaped her throat as she watched him puff out his chest. There was just something about him that made her feel at ease like this. The fact that they were fairly similar too had also helped calm her nerves over the course of the conversation. "Well, I think you grew up into a fine warrior. We all go through some tough stages in our lives.. But, well." Duskwing fumbled towards the end as the words jumbled out of her mouth. "You're funny and very sweet, but also show responsibility and whatnot. Ahem." She went to lick the fur on her chest and lightly shrugged her shoulders.

"I like to think I was winning, but I'm not sure who actually was." She snorted aloud. "Some apprentices were cheering me on so it always lead me to believe I was doing better than him." The tortoiseshell gave a small nod in agreement and felt a bit of pride stir within her. "The punishment was well worth it honestly." She could feel her fur heating up at Sunmist's theory in regards to the Thunderclan apprentice. A 'pshh' sound came from her along with a dismissive flick of her tail. "I'm a little doubtful that he felt that way towards me, but I suppose it's a possibility. Who knows?"
