Atleast Aster was cheering him on, he looked over at Shimmeringpaw after goosepaw cheered her on. she'll probably win...I've not had a good run in a long time.. but that doesn't mean I won't win!. " you got this " he whispered only for her to hear. " ok, I'm ready, you ?" he asked the she cat beside him.

Wormpaw blink, glancing at Goosepaw. Awh. He was trying to avoid nicknames, he had just gotten the dark lord one to seemingly fade away from existence. He shrugged his shoulders, "You still need to teach me how to speak Duck, " He hum-- his attention returning back to Shimmeringpaw and Sootpaw. Wormpaw's ears swivel to the sound of Asterpaw's cheering which was followed up by Goosepaw's. (Was it just him or were his sister and the apprentice close..?) Considering he couldn't multi-task, at,, like all. He didn't cheer but there was a small subtle smile on his face.

"Y-Yup...m...may the best-t cat win." Great, now she was stammering. Hearing that Goosepaw was cheering for her made the molly feel a little better. At least someone believed in her. A small smile made her way onto her beautiful features. "Y-yeah I'm ready." Shimmeringpaw said to Sootpaw with less nervousness in her voice than last time.

Goosepaw let out a snort of amusement, turning to grin at Wormpaw. "See, it kind of goes like this," he started to joke. "One quack for hello, and quack-quack for goodbye." The grin faded into a small smile and he fixed his gaze on the race once more. "You have to have the right amount of qua and ack, though. It's sort of tricky."

Wormpaw blink, turning his head to Goosepaw. He raised a brow. So the apprentice really could speak duck! Aha! He squinted his eyes, nodding intently. "Quaack, " Wormpaw mewed, he would turn his away-- mumbling quack noises under his breath. "Quackthank, " He would turn his attention back to the test.

[ gonna timeskip to the end so we can finish up this test ! ]

He would watch the blurs race back and forth, taking a minute in-between as a break. After the final round was over, Wormpaw rose to his paws. "Good job, " He rumbled. The tom already had a basic clue on their stats-- he was close with them after all. "8 seconds. 9 seconds for the last two, " He mewed. Wormpaw turned his head to Asterpaw, raising a brow. He waited for the apprentice to say Sootpaw's results.

Goosepaw smothered a snicker, instead simply grinning once more in response. "Good, good," he praised, an airy tone to his voice. "Now, Wormpaw, when you congratulate someone in Duck, it's a series of excited quacks. Doesn't matter how many, they just have to be loud and ecstatic, otherwise they might think you're cursing them out or something."

She was tired, all of her races were ties which surprised her greatly. With her short or could be average legs the molly padded over to a shady spot not too far off from her brother. Perhaps a foxtail or two away from her brother the molly watched the rest of the apprentice finish up their tasks.
Catching her breath Shimmeringpaw closed her eyes for a moment, taking all of the exhaust in with one breath and let it out with the other. For the first time in a long time, the silver and white apprentice's muscles screamed in protest.
"Quack...quack, quack." Lifting her head and opening her light blue eyes she saw next made her day. Goosepaw was clearly pulling on Wormpaw's tail with the whole duckspeak. Stifling a giggle the molly watched in amusement.

"7 and then 10 and 11." The young tom's face was screwed up in concentration. If he could remember right.... yeah that sounded about right. He nodded, a smile blossoming across his maw.

Wormpaw nodded, he was going to be so rock on with duckspeech. He turned around, approaching Shimmeringpaw. "QUACK. QU..UACKKK, QUACK!" He congratulated his sister, straining his voice to be more high-pitched in an attempt to follow Goosepaw's instructions. Wormpaw let out a choked cough, shaking his head. "I said congrats I believe, " He translated. Maybe someone should break the news to Wormpaw. Before he cussed Lionstar out in quacks.

He turned his head to Asterpaw, raising an brow. "It's generally tied in numbers, " Wormpaw mew. Last round was him and Goosepaw. He could do that.

He turned to Sootpaw, walking up to him. "QUACK. QUACK QUACK-!" He mrrow in congrats to finishing the first test.
