Drizzlecloud is seated near the mouth of the nursery, probably disassociating as we speak. (activity post--exams done huzzah so i shall be returning to regular activity soon I do hope!)

Flowerhawk opened her mouth to say ‘nice to meet you,’ but Cloudedpaw’s answer took her aback. It wasn’t that wanting to find his father was a bad thing, it was just much deeper of an answer than she was used to getting from other cats. She liked it, though. Sometimes an answer like that was something cats preferred to keep to themselves, so it was an honest answer. Honesty was a quality she admired in a cat.
“Well, I hope that one day you find him.” She wanted to ask if Cloudedpaw knew him well, but was unsure if that was too personal. Better to say nothing than risk prying, she concluded. She struggled to think of a way to keep the conversation going. Perhaps relating to the younger cat in some way would help, and now that she thought about it, she realized that that was something she could do. “I had a friend go missing when I was younger, a very good friend. I know that’s not the same as missing a parent, but I wonder about her sometimes. She was a good cat.” That last part was debatable, but there was no need to disrespect the missing.

Cloudedpaw sighed, his mind swirling with thoughts. He just nodded, not saying a word. He had never met his father, and when he had asked his mother, she hadn't answered. For all he knew, he was dead. He sighed once more, the tip of his tail flicking cautiously.
Flowerhawk had way too much energy, and with Bumblestar’s rules, she had little ways to spend it. She could run laps around the camp. She could jump in place. She could do all kinds of things that would draw other cats’ attention and likely not satisfy her need for movement. She could…
She spotted her younger brothers across the clearing. At six moons old, they would have plenty of energy, right? She could engage them in the timeless game of tag.Bounding across the clearing and dodging other cats, Flowerhawk already felt her excitement building up. She skidded to a stop right in front of Dustpaw and Blackberrypaw. “Hi, guys! You up for a game of cat and mouse?”
Blackberrypaw watched his sister pace around, and he padded over to her. Sure. He mumbled, watching as his brother came to join them.

[ OOC: They don’t seem to be getting on very well. Do you want to end it here? ]

Oh stars, Flowerhawk’s question had upset Cloudedpaw, and her attempt to relate had only left him more dejected. She could see that he was lost in thought, but was he simply thinking, or was he spiraling? She scanned his face for any sign that the young tom might be going down a mental rabbit hole, but couldn’t tell. “Are you alright?” she asked, just to be sure. Why couldn’t she go one day without upsetting or embarrassing some poor cat?
Yes, I'm fine. Cloudedpaw decided, bowing his head. It was nice... Running into you. Amusement flashed across his face for half a second.
@bugonenine (okay!)
Flowerhawk grinned. “It was nice running into you, too.” She thought about adding something wishing him luck finding his father, but ‘good luck finding your dad’ sounded rather callous. Besides, she didn’t want to send him into a spiral. So she left it at that and went to go catch up on that nap.
