The black tom dipped his head to Floatingleaf, Alisa, and Thrashercry(call) before turning to head back to RiverClan territory, waving his tail, beckoning for Snowfall and Pebblefur to follow him.

A kit dangled from a cat's maw. All the way from Pinewatch patch, the cat never stopped walking. The kit, tired and cold, was squirming uncomfortably. Their paws batted out in front of the kitten, causing them to sway left-right-left-right without stop. The cat carrying the kitten grimaced, giving it a light shake to make it stop. The kitten squirmed again, meowed in complaint, but stopped moving all the same. Soon enough, the kitten fell quiet and the cat went on their way again. This mysterious feline had a very particular goal; a cat in mind, someone they were looking for in the dead of night, darkness covering their path. Their cold eyes scanned the area, appearance covered by the shadow of a tree. A frozen voice rang, secretive and quiet as they watched another feline approach.
"I've got the child. Take it."

The feline knew all too well that they might need further convincing. A further reason to take the child besides the given request. But that didn't matter. This plan, this mission. They would see it through to the end. They promised a safe place, somewhere away from danger, that would be with this feline. Whether they liked it or not, the kitten was now theirs.
"Take it."
The cat insisted again, voice cold as it had always been. The kitten was set down on the cold, damp ground. They startled awake, letting a small, surprised, squeak. A light nudge to the kitten's back was given, urging her towards the other unknown feline.

Haste

The heavily pregnant molly stood on the soft ground, face severe and hollow with grief for her asshole mate. She had told him not to go after Storm, that it was a waste of time, but he was always so... violent. Not that Haste wasn't violent, but not stupid about it like Bucky was. And now he was dead, and she had to go through another search for a suitable mate. Ugh. And pregnant, too. Screw this. She was this close to just becoming a housecat, it sounded so much easier.

But she had this idiot to deal with first. Scowling as a cat slinked forward, she curled her lip and revealed a flash of slightly crooked ivory colored fangs. "So dramatic." She scoffed slightly. Why so secretive and ninja-wannabe-like? No one cared about this little furball, anyways. "Remind me why I'm doing this, again?" Translation: Why am I wasting my time on this lump of a cat- what's my payment, again?

She felt cold, but didn't know whom to get close to. The newborn's eyes were hardly even open, not a crack, and hardly did they know what was happening. Swaying back and forth since this morning, it was almost a relief when they were set down on the damp grass, cuddling close to the strands, now seeking warmth. Was it selfish to want so much, or simple kitten needs? It was hard to say, other than that they probably wouldn't be getting it anytime soon.

As for the other feline, they only grinned. Of course they understood what this cat meant, they'd expected it after all. From the shadows, they sat, giving the kitten one indecipherable look before returning their gaze to Haste.
"One wish."
They mew.
"Anything you want."
They smiled, eyes deceptively trusting, yet their voice cold.
"Take this kit, and your one most deepest wish will be granted. All you have to do is take her, and tell me."
Deeply, they bowed down, one paw lifted in front of their chest before they rose back up again, smiling. They were on all fours now, a step taken back. They'd make a run for it if they had to... And watch. Anything so this feline took the kitten. They doubted this cat understood what was at stake. They doubted, even more, that this cat understood anything at all: this wasn't a choice, this was fate.

A cat looked from behind a tree, looking around.
So many things were happening at once.

She took a small step, took it back, then took the step again,
then came out from behind the tree.

Was it safe?
She hoped it was.
