The toms words were half amused as his feathered tail flicked at Batglare. Snakeheart really didnt mind the snark or apathy from windclan cat, he had a similar attitude sometimes and found the happier cats more annoying anyway. Kestrelwings reaction was more of a concern than any snark the large warrior could throw out and the medicine cats shifted his tail to lightly flick the birdbrain in the side in a light warning. They were friends here drop the grump birdbrain even if Snakeheart did appreciate the protectiveness. Whatever sometimes grumpy cats got along like the two riverclan cats but if they didnt get along with the windclan warrior it didnt matter Snakeheart would treat the apprentice he was worried about regardless.
"Of course I will treat the scrap but I dont need help with a herb patrol right now. Maybe if I manage to rope Peachfrost into one. For now though, you apprentice whoever you are let me get a look at your leg and we can go to the medicine cats den after the meeting and I'll see what can be done. Ill note its supremely stupid to be just wandering about if even an untrained warrior can spot an issue but Im not your mentor and dont care so thats not my concern.
Resistant patients.... Just when he was thinking of them a potential case dropped into his lap. At least he could probably get Batwing to help him manage the young cat if there were issues though granted Kestrelwing didnt get paranoid and pitch a fit.

Mudpaw sighed. Riverclan cats really are grumpy. Still, they were warriors so he has to respect them. " Thank you Snakeheart," He said extending his leg forward. He dipped his head with respect, recognizing his place in the Hierarchy.

Owtalon followed behind her as they headed out into the territory. Once they were out in the open, he sped up and bounded alongside her. He sniffed the fresh air. Being outside the camp always put him in a good mood. It was refreshing to get out of the stuffy camp. @FrostCat

Breezedapple chased after Owltalon, the wind ruffling her fur. She slowed down and tasted the air, and smelled rabbit. "Over here!" She called to Owltalon. "Over the crest!"

Sharpkit took in a shaky breath and moved forward, speeding up a little bit when she realized how slow she was going and how easy it would be for a cat to see her.

Rosebriar was so happy - WindClan was finally getting a new medicine cat! She had been hoping so wholeheartedly that they wouldn't need help from another Clan. Seriously, she didn't want RiverClan or ThunderClan paws treating her precious wounds! What if they messed up? She didn't want another scar! Her leaf-green eyes narrowed as she thought of Coyotesnarl, who had been WindClan's medicine cat briefly. He'd taken way too long to treat her wound. It hadn't just been because of Blackpaw's deep wound, it had been because of an incompetent medicine cat! Seriously, why had Twilightstar made him deputy, of all things? Maybe it was good that he'd been picked off. He never really liked me or Featherwhisker, anyway, she thought with a huff. Nobody ever denied her or her mother's beauty. Nobody.

It was awkward, though, having yet another warrior replace a medicine cat. Every medicine cat since she'd been alive had just been... what? A warrior who had decided to step up to medicine cat duties? One of her ears flicked. Then her eyes widened with wonder as a cream-colored tabby tom - his pelt traced with many scars, she noticed - stepped forward. Twilightstar knew him as Beeblaze, and apparently, he'd been the medicine cat during two cats' leaderships. The time when Rosebriar was a kit was hazy, but she'd been a kit, close to being an apprentice, when Brightsky was a leader. Apparently, there had been some dark times going on. A shudder ran down her spine at the nostalgia, at the memories that she had nearly forgotten.

Rosebriar's jaw then very nearly dropped open. Her? To train Beeblaze as a warrior? She felt honored! A returned former medicine cat who had served under two great leaders, who had been treated with respect... would they treat Rosebriar with respect, too? She felt so honored! The small, lithe she-cat padded forward to the tom to touch noses with him. "It will be an honor being your mentor," she purred with a flourish of her elegantly bushy tail. The scars made him look fierce, she had to admit; where had he gotten them? Some sort of accident, or maybe a fight, even when he'd been a medicine cat? Sometimes, scars made someone look fierce. Other times, they were ugly. She had to admit, these looked fierce.

"We'll get to training soon!" she promised with a bright grin, her tone as sweet as honey. She was genuinely excited, but first impressions were everything. She had to be as happy and sweet as she could possibly be, especially since some of her Clanmates didn't like her for whatever reason. So what if she liked deformities and impure blood? Twistedface kept on taking the spotlight! Despite her dark thoughts, Rosebriar kept on that plastered grin. Why let that ugly abomination ruin her thoughts? Was she seriously that infectios? Rosebriar gave herself a mental note to stay away from her, and if she was touched by her, to get herself clean as soon as possible. That cat had ruined so much for her, and she wouldn't let her ruin her best moments!

Owltalon didn't realize he was pulling away until he heard Breezedapple's meow from behind him. Craning his neck, he spotted her swerving toward a rabbit track at the top of a hill. Changing his course, he pounded after her, peat spraying out behind him.

Breezedapple waited until Owltalon screeched to a halt beside her. "You smell them?" She asked.
