Tundrakit slowly waked into the clearing. The white black tabby was the runt of her litter a lot of cats bullied her for her peculiar looks and size. She was part of Ravenhearts litter of kits but even with the disabled litter she still felt out of place.

~ IVYKIT ~

Ivykit looked up at Ravenheart and blinked. Of course she should work around the flesh...? The mouse was dead so it wouldn't bleed, but it could still get bloody if that made sense. She could just clean off the blood later, right...? Oh well, she'd gotten the advice she needed. The she-kit continued working around the flesh, trying to cut it so that the pelt would remain intact, except for that slit she'd made in it. Her sharp amber gaze was narrowed with concentration as she worked. She was probably gonna show it to Dawnstar when she was done to see what the leader thought. Maybe it would help rise her in the ranks, or in the leader's view? Unless she didn't want to be disturbed.

Ivykit continued working around the flesh. Her claw and paw ached, but she persisted. And finally... it was done! She grabbed the pelt with her teeth and pulled it away from the meat. It was a bit bloody on the underside, but she could easily lick that off. The mouse corpse didn't look appetizing, but she had promised to eat it so she would. The dark tabby she-kit turned her head to look up at Ravenheart. She had been useful enough but something about her... she didn't know. At least she had given some advice.

"Thanks for your help, I've got it. You can go and do whatever queens do." Ivykit turned back to her pelt and began licking the underside to clean it off. Luckily there wasn't a lot of cleaning to get done. Then she ate the mouse. Again, not the most appetizing, but it wasn't too bad. She was just doing what she was supposed to so she didn't waste fresh-kill.

It was a nice feeling. Walking around camp, not as a lowly apprentice, but as a warrior. 'Needlepaw better hurry up and finish her training.' She thought. Brackenfire wanted her best friend to be with her in the warriors den, not across camp with a bunch of sniveling apprentices. Thinking about her friends brought up thoughts of Bounceberry. She hadn't spoken to the medicine cat in a while, not since the badger incident. He was mocked by Dawnstar and Grimhound, both whom Brackenfire respected and usually sided with on matters, but she thought that he was a great medicine cat, he got the job done right and always acted like he cared about his work, unlike Badgerscar and Ebonyfang, Badgerscar mostly, who didn't seem to give a mouse-tail about the honor of being medicine cat.

He deserved a congratulations from everyone, and he and Brackenfire were friends. Becoming a full medicine cat was a huge responsibility, and she was truly happy for him. His name hadn't popped up in her mind in the aftermath of the meeting, of the cats she tolerated, neither had Needlepaw's, but now she gladly added them to the 'list'.

After the meeting had dispersed, and before she left on Dawnstar's patrol, she hurried up to Bounceberry, tapping his shoulderblade with her tail and bumping his side with her forehead, in greeting. ''Hey. Good job on becoming a full medicine cat, you've been doing awesome from what I've seen.'' She knew it was probably difficult for him, losing his mentor then getting a new one that treated him like dirt, then that mentor stepping down and dumping all the workload onto him. A cat as young as Brackenfire, with the health and well-being of an entire Clan on his shoulders, she couldn't imagine how difficult that must be.

''How have you been?'' They had a lot to catch up on, It had been a long time since their last conversation.

After Venompaw's return, Rookpaw really wasn't feeling it. To her, it felt no better. Everything was rather bland and she wasn't in the mood to exist right now. Maybe she should ho take a nap or something? The black cat was at the end of her training, almost a warrior. What else was there to do?

Blue eyes flickered as Needlepaw made her way out of the apprentices den, her fur shining in the light as she stood, almost like a statue. The apprentice, who was now close to being a warrior and in the den with her best friend (Brackenfire), though most of these cats were weak. Wow so rude, I know.


The ash-coloured molly's attention was violently snatch by the sight of Charco- Rookpaw sitting boredly in the smack-dab center of the clearing. She has chosen to be the victim of Needlepaw's roast it seems. With her trademark devilish grin plastered on her maw, the molly stomped (no, literally stomped) over to Rookpaw and poked her in the chest with her gray paw. "What with the long face? You look like some cat just killed our mom."

Rookpaw's sulking was immediately interrupted by the ever-present agitation that was Needlepaw. Oh, great.
Huh, I wish. Maybe then all my problems would be solved. She thought, immediately feeling guilty about thinking that. They were trying to make up, after all.
"What do you want?" she asked tiredly.
