Foxbite had an idea. He charged towards the sycamore tree at the end of the clearing. He jumped, twisting in midair so that Leafpaw hit the tree.

(I hate you, Foxbite...) Leafpaw let out a yowl of pain as her shoulder was smashed against the tree trunk. The gash ripped larger and a stream of blood ran down her leg, pooling around her paw. She gritted her teeth and glared at Foxbite. "That the best you got?" she challenged him, forcing her voice not to tremble. She shifted her weight onto her other three paws.

Leafpaw grunted as the claws whacked her cheek. She stood stood still for what seemed like hours, then finally darted forward. She ducked underneath him and twisted around, slashing his underbelly and then wriggling out from underneath him.
