Frostbreeze in pure rage gave out a loud yowl of hear piercing screech before stomping off towards camp. oh how Frostbreeze hated being bossed around by stupid little Buckbranch who had to boss her around and thought he had all the power in the world. It enraged her so much, but Icestar said she had to be obedient and responsible so that Buckbranch would respect her enough that she could control the clan. How angry she was, but there was nothing she could do without getting demoted.

Stormtalon grew more suspicious of Talonstone's presence as the gathering continued. It didn't feel like their first meeting at all. At the border, both warriors were at fault, equally risking logic and caution in order to steal a conversation that was hardly more than shared observations. It was simply different at this gathering. Why approach him now, if irresponsibility was no longer applicable? That in itself implied intentionality. Talonstone must have a reason for what he chose to do and not do, say and not say. They were similar after all. Storm couldn't come up with an explanation, and the lack of knowing unsettled him.

...No matter. This shadowcat wasn't Storm's top priority, and his attention settled more on the current proceedings. What followed of the gathering was... a mess, honestly. Lionstar might be the only leader who wasn't embarrassed by a clanmate or themselves. Frostbreeze's little stunt was particularly cringe-worthy; some cats had no shame.

Shortly after Dawnstar finished her update, ShadowClan was dismissed. Abrupt, perhaps, but the other leaders were likely to follow suit. Storm didn't respond when Talonstone said something close to a goodbye. Instead, Storm fixed Talon with a narrowed stare, green eyes sharp with obvious scrutiny as the shadowcat walked off. Let it go, he thought. And he did. Stormtalon didn't release his curiosity, but rather his need to sate that curiosity when he turned away and put Blue-eyes from his mind.

Buckstar's chest still burned, like his lungs were constricting in on themselves, but he managed to compose himself as Dawnstripe, Dawnstar now, apparently, began her own announcements. He did his best to ignore Frostbreeze's shrill shriek of anger, but he found himself shooting her a look of pure and utter hatred. Oh, words were going to be said tonight, and none of them pleasant.

Once Dawnstar had finished, he jumped down from the rock so he could lead his cats back to camp. "ThunderClan! We're heading home! Wrap up your conversations, let's go. I want to be in my nest before dawn," he added under his breath.

Hearing the call to leave, Berrydust padded after her leader, once again disappointed. She was never able to find anyone to talk to, so she ended up spending the entire time listening to announcements. Pushing those thoughts aside, she was looking forward to getting back to camp and talking with her friends that had stayed.

(Am I the only one who can't help thinking that only shadowclan and thunderclan has actually announced the going home post or whatever? I dunno if this is how it usually goes, because this is only my second, but Lionstar and Twilightstar haven't officially left yet, and they're in charge of the only two clans I actually have cats in.)

monsterpaw walked into the clearing and sat down with the rest of her clan and looked around nervously. there where so meany cats here! this was her first gathering and she wanted to make a good impression on the other clans. her brother thunderpaw sat next to her and gave her a reassuring look
