Bumblestar needed a good stretch, and she'd also been itching to get some battle refreshments in lately, so what better way to do that than to drag one of the new warriors kit for a spar? Poor Risingstorm, she was about to put this kid through hell just to get a kick out of it. Oh well, he'd get over it. Maybe.
Once they reached the pond, Bumblestar tossed him a glance over her shoulder. "I just wanna get some more practice in today, 'n I'm sure you wouldn't mind the extra training, either. Go ahead 'n start."

Now that he was mostly recovered from his illness, Wolfhive wanted to start on Mallowpaw's training again. Not only was it important for her to get her name, but it'd help him get back into shape after being in recovery for so long. "Sorry it's been a while," his voice was gentle, a little raspy from being sore. "Have you had a chance to do anything while I was outta it?"
Why Cattail Pond was Risingstorm's go-to, Wolfhive wasn't sure.
He barely made it a few steps from where he'd thrown up, and had anticipated finding water somewhere closer... like the medicine cat den. Not outside of camp, and especially not to Cattail Pond. Wolfhive was too weak to do a real protest though, having sank to the ground in exhaustion before even making it to the camp entrance. Cue Risingstorm dragging him the rest of the way, much to Wolfhive's displeasure. "isn't.. there something... in camp?"
Didn't matter, because here they were, and Wolfhive huffed against one of the cattail stalks. It stank like the fish and his stomach twisted unpleasantly, but he had nothing left to expel. "you're wild." Because who would drag a sick cat out into the middle of nowhere??? Wolfhive hoped Risingstorm wasn't doing this to others!!!
He sighed and gingerly stretched himself forward so he could make contact with the water, lapping up a small amount.
Risingstorm felt bad now that he brought wolfhive this far out yeah it was no good cause now he was dragging him maybe they should have turned back or found a closer spot once wolfhive drank he waited "ready to go I can drag ya back" he meowed knowing he would probably get in trouble for this all he hoped is that wolf didnt die on him then rising would also be dead faster then he could blink any ways once wolf was done he quickly but sadly brought wolf back to the camp

Once he was finished, Wolfhive fell into a rough fit of coughing and grimaced. "Yeah.." Though he did make an attempt, he wasn't going to make it far in his condition, and once he collapsed he let Risingstorm drag him away.
He was glad no one was around to watch, this was embarassing.

Well, he was off to a good start, at least. Trying to juke someone out was a half-decent tactic, and lesser warriors would fall for it. Unfortunately for Risingstorm, Bumblestar wasn't a lesser warrior.
At the last second, she ducked to the side and shot out a forepaw, aiming to hook Risingstorm's front legs out from underneath him and send him tumbling, or at the very least catch him off-balance.

Risingstorm thought he had the leader with his trick but thinking wasn't his strength and just like that rising went flying as the leader stuck out her leg tripping rising onto his face rising tucked into himself and rolled getting to his feet while stumbling a bit as he regained balance

Finally. Finally, after moons of abandonment, Wolfhive had taken her out. Frustration and anger churned in her gut as Mallowpaw followed her mentor until they reached the banks of a large pond. Cattail Pond. One of the few places her first mentor had shown her.
Wolfhive started with an apology, and Mallowpaw didn't miss the rasp in his voice. Had he been sick? The anger dissolved, replaced by guilt. Of course he wouldn't abandon her; he was a Hornet. He was one of the few warriors she could trust to train her. He had taught her to hunt even when she hadn't been his responsibility, so why would he abandon her now? She was the one who hadn't visited him, hadn't tried to find out what had happened.
"No," Mallowpaw replied to Wolfhive's question. The answer felt like a confession; she should be finishing up her training. No, she should have already finished her training. She should have learnt something at least. But no, and it was her own fault for moping instead of asking begging warriors for training. It hadn't worked the times she'd done it, but she should have tried. Maybe she would've had something under her belt, even if it was just a landmark or battle move.
