Sheepbreeze happily padded along side the patrol until they reached the valley, then began to mark the border on the WindClan side.

Slatepaw padded behind them as they headed to the border. She was told to mark, something she hadn't done yet. She hadn't even been to this border before and the anxiety of the new experience was shooting down her spine. However, the young apprentice did the best she could. She watched the other two start marking then tried her best to copy so she didn't have to bother Lilyheart about it.
Lilyheart continued marking seeing nothing unusual so far she padded over to the others"hows it going? i finished marking my area how about you 2" she asked

Usually, she might challenge the others to a race back to camp now the mere thought of it made her feel like collapsing. She marked the last marker, then went to wait beside Lilyheart.

Slatepaw glanced around her area. Nothing else to do? She shrugged, thinking perhaps it was good enough. She padded back to Lilyheart and offered a small nod. "done" she mewed simply then waited to follow them back to camp
he nodded at her words, making his way off in the opposite direction. blue flowers, blue flowers. eyes stopped on a clump of plants, and within a few moments he was ambling back towards nettledapple, four star-shaped herbs clenched beneath his teeth. honestly, he felt like borage wasn't the best name for it. like, who had been thinking when they named that? he would've called it blue flower or star flower or water flower or what is it even used for flower. regardless, he looked up at nettledapple smiling lightly. "got it!"

The Dark Lord walked through the Valley, ears twitching with distaste at the wetland. Still, things could've been worse. Beansprout was here with him. His tail flickered behind him, carefully walking. Wormbite came to a stop once they arrived at the border. His whiskers twitching as he scented the air. The wind was beginning to blow lightly, and he huffed.
"Cicadapaw, you can choose who you wish to go with. I will head towards left and mark along the border..?" There was a hint of a question, looking to Beansprout to see if he had a preference. Either way, whether or not there was a rebut; he would soon begin marking along the border by brushing his fur against the nearby evergreen.
Cicadapaw nodded her head and tail twitched as she stayed near Beansprout. She started to brush on the plants and such before ears swiveling as she kept beansprout in her sights.

The siamese cat trotted along with the patrol, his heart thumping in his ears. This was because of the excitement of the patrol, surely. Not for any other reason. Beansprout definitely didn't spend most of the walk with his head in the clouds, stealing glances at Wormbite. No, never.
"I'll head towards the right then," the tom smiled and attempted to nudge the shield before heading in that direction. Oh, and it seemed Cicadapaw followed him. With a smile toward the younger cat as well, Beansprout began marking that part of the border.
... Wormbite swore to the stars he must be coming down with something by the feeling of the goofy smile that was plastered across his face. A spark being enlightened when Beansprout gently nudged him along (please don't say the other noticed his staring). Wormbite offered no verbal response besides a nod, not quite trusting his own voice.
At least without Cicadapaw following after him, the Dark Lord could focus on clearing his thoughts. The silence was familiar and comfortable. It was only when the wind started to pick up more, dust beginning to hit at him that frustration began to build up in his fur. Wormbite squeezed his eyes shut, continuing marking along the border they shared with Windclan; cursing at the sky.
Better than mud or wet sand, he reassured himself.
Soon enough once he had finished, Wormbite started to walk along the opposite direction in search of the other two. Only when he started to scent (at least he believed he was) he would call out, "I am ready to head back if you two are..!"
