" I found them and that's all that matters but I have no clue how to take care of kittens I'm basically one myself I only learned one move in fighting for my training and besides I.....I.... I was dumped in the fire so I ran for my life a cat took me to the fire saying it was a part of training...."
"I dunno what half that means, kid." Flat, Wolfhive didn't lift his gaze from the tiny nuggets. "If you're involved in some weird rogue thing I don't want any of that near my Clan." This 'training' talk was odd, similar to the Clans but.. this cat wasn't one of theirs. Not a frog nor a fish, a rabbit or a warrior. "Ain't much to do about the kittens, i have folk who might be able to take them in... but you're gonna need to explain yourself a bit more before you take another step in my territory."
"No, I didn't run into Snakefang. We must've missed each other - been out of camp for a while."
Bumblestar eyed Moosecrash as her sibling explained the situation. His last memories were from something that had happened so long ago? Maybe they were right and he was one of those risen-from-the-dead cats.
But no. His name seemed far too familiar, whichever memories he belong to right at the edges of her mind...
Ah. She knew where she recognized him from. His enthusiasm upon rembering her made her slightly uncomfortable, but she shoved it aside for this.
"I don't think he's back from the dead," she mused, inching forward to inspect him more. "Seems like a pretty big memory issue to me - I know him from later than that." Unless he'd died after he went missing and then been returned with the gaps. "Moosecrash, you were one of Cinderst- Cindersky's Keepers with me. Though I'm guessin' that means nothing to you, if the most recent thing you can think back to is Dawnstar's time in the old camp." Right, the camp - another thing he'd need to be debriefed on. Could she make this easier, maybe make some more recent memories resurface? "The name 'Bumblebreak' ring any bells?"
MOOSECRASH
51 Moons (Mentally 35) | He/Him | Well Insulated
Moosecrash thought hard at the leader's words. There was a slight tingle at the back of his mind, as if the name should be familiar to him, but he couldn't figure out why. He let out a sigh and shook his head. "I'm sorry, it feels familiar, but that's all..." he trailed off. It had almost sounded like Bumblestar had been about to say the name Cinderstar instead of Cindersky. He remembered Cindersky fondly, she had been a very kind and generous cat. He could only assume that with the way Bumblestar spoke of her that she had passed on to Starclan.
The thought caused his face to fall and ears to droop. So many of his clanmates were gone. Ones that he had considered his friends. He pondered that for a moment before being shaken from his thoughts by the sounds of Mudhound scrabbling, screaming, and bolting away on three legs. That one sure can move...
Moosecrash chuckled lightly at the antics as the tripod streaked off. "They're your sibling, yes? They amuse me, I'm glad they found me." He laughed before turning back to Bumblestar. "I'm sorry for all this, Bumblestar. I had no idea I was gone, and for so long it seems..." he said as he looked over the leader once more. She had grown into a formidable warrior and leader of her clan, a long way from the Bumblepaw he remembered.
He jumps as a large cat suddenly appears from a tree. He stares at them for a moment, before opening his mouth, the dead-serious reply slipping out easily. "I walked. It made my paws hurt." He holds up a paw to show her the blisters, wobbling a little as he's never balanced on three legs before.
'He walked.' Bumblestar's torn ear flipped back and forth in rapid succession as she stared down at him. He looked young, he sounded young... and those blisters didn't look too good. She bent down to sniff them.
"You got a name? Or someone who might be out lookin' around for you?" What was he even doing all the way out here?
Name: Phoenix
Age: 5 moons
Gender: Female
Rank Request: Apprentice. She wanna learn to fight for her new clan!
New Name: Emberpaw, Sparkpaw, Firepaw, or Blazingpaw. Whichever is open.
Reason for Joining: Her abusive adopted daddy Claw, who didn't care a bit about her and often found her a nuisance, is finally dead! Her brother, Sirius, doesn't think that she's able to help pick up hunting and fighting, although he doesn't say it. But Phoenix knows that he thinks she's silly and worthless. It's time to get out of dodge! Phoenix wants to live somewhere she is valued, and others will teach her to fight, and not try to hurt her.
Phoenix paused at the Thunderclan border. Was Sirius following her? He probably wasn't. He'd learned his lessons too well, and no doubt thought her a worthless idiot. She'd show him, one day. Phoenix sat down, her dark red fur shining, and her green eyes dancing with joy. Finally! A chance to go someplace she was worth something! "Hello?" she called out excitedly, but respectfully. "My name is Phoenix, and I'm looking to maybe talk with the Thunderclan leader, Bumblestar! I have a message that I want to pass on!" She quivered with excitement. Now was it! No more Duck, no more of the horrid little den, and the stale, awful air. Free!
The kit stares back at Bumblestar, giving a slow blink. He feels a little woozy and supposes that it must be the heat. "Name? I think it is You There. or You. Sometimes others, but that was most common. I don't..." he trails off, eyes darting behind him as he hunches down on himself slightly in the first display of emotion.
"I don't want to go back. Please don't make me go back?" He lifts his head cautiously, blinking to push back the fuzziness in his vision the heat is causing. He knows he should have taken a break in the shade or stopped to drink water, but he needed to get as far away as possible.

A frown pulled at Bumblestar's lips. That didn't sound good. She glanced behind him, searching the undergrowth for any sign of anyone near, and found none.
With a sigh, she stooped down to his level. "Alright, climb on. Name's Bumblestar. I'm leader of a large group nearby - ThunderClan. We can get you some water 'n some food, 'n a place to chill for a bit."
He smiles at her words, reaching up with shaky paws to scramble on her back. "Thanks, Bubbles. You're my favorite," he says seriously, unsheathing his tiny claws to grip at her fur so he won't fall off. The heat is making him dizzy, but his new friend is taking to him a place with food and water, and it sounds safe.
Tough dropped the kits in front of the cat and said “ if you don’t want to take me as a new cat that is fine even though I’ll be starving and trying to find a home but take the kits. I don’t want to see them die all because I couldn’t hunt.”
Night opened her eyes and then remembered what had happened she mewed a ‘thank you’ to Tough he then turns around to leave
[ Don't forget to mention me! I won't know if you posted otherwise, I just saw you online and decided to check. ]
"I told you to explain yourself, and all you're giving me is a pity party. If you can't explain yourself then no, I don't want you near my Clan." Having a rogue group association apparently, not elaborating on that, trying to manipulate Wolfhive... yeah he wasn't really vibing with this kid. Maybe he didn't mean it like that, but as someone trying to look after dozens of other cats that he actually knew, it was unsettling.
The actual kits were one thing, Wolfhive didn't expect literal babies to understand much or explain things well. But Tough was articulate, so Wolfhive expected him to act like it if he wanted to join.
Wolfhive lashed his tail and directed his attention to the kiddos, reaching to nose them gently so he could get a better look at them.
