The slender she-cat's ears pricked up as Dawnstar called her name. That was unusual, was it about Shadestorm? Or something her leader wanted her to do? Ah, an apprentice... Wait? AN APPRENTICE?! Oh hell yeah, about time! She had never before taught a tinier cat things, but it was finally her time! Shadestorm had always said how hard it was and how much work it took to train a cat, but now she could show him, AND do it better.
Sharppaw... No bells rang in her head and for a moment she just stood still, trying to see if anyone tiny moved towards her. And there, a a brown cat was moved towards her! "Ah, so you're Sharppaw" she needed to come up with a nickname for them as well. "As you might have figured from our holy leader shouting it out, im Hawkshade!" she introduced herself with a grin. Now what had she forgotten... Right, training. "So what do you know already, hunting, some fighting maybe? I tree-climbing lessons might be good for you..." She blinked at her new apprentice with a grin, waiting for an answer.

Her new mentor seemed fairly upbeat, different from the treacherous and paranoid Silverstripe or cold and aggrevated Weepingshade. She was fairly good at reading people and she could tell this was different. The warrior seemed rather air-headed as well.
Now, this was going to be complicated. Yes or No questions were much more preferable. Thankfully Hawkshade asked her a question she could nod to. The apprentice nodded her head. She knew how to hunt fairly OK and had some training from her father as a kit though not nearly enough. She also knew a bit about tracking qnd stealth and was honestly the most interested in that area despite her mentor at the time being rather unfavorable.

Nightpaw runs his dark paws through the dirt. 'Another mentor? Did I do something wrong?' He thinks to himself and looks at the ground. He breaths a low sigh.

Well Sharp sure seemed quiet, only nodding at Hawkshade's questions. For the first time in a long while she found herself a bit lost on what to say or how to react. Usually other cats... well, reacted more to what she head to say, for better or for worse since some *cough cough Redshrike* didn't appreciated her humor and lightheartedness.
"Right... Well, what about we do some hunting after this?" And in a heartbeat she was back in her usual, casual yet energetic self. She grinned and closed one eye to look more mischievous before whispering, so loudly it really wasn't a whisper anymore, and would have been normal speech if it wasn't for how low and almost raspy her voice was. "I have some special tips the deputy taught me"
And the nickname of course, she would have to think on that. Tiny-cat maybe, they were a cat, and smaller than Hawkshade. Or just Sharpie, a play of their real name.
A new mentor!? I'm quite fine with my old one, who I avoided for the entire time. He grunted, and glanced around. He stood up and ruefully padded up to the cat he knew as Falconfeather. He quickly tapped noses with the unfamiliar warrior and sat down, glancing at his new mentor. "So, what now? I know about nothing, so it's probably best you just start from the beginning, even though I'm eight moons already." He mewed dismissively, giving his new mentor a pointed look.
Every part of Chamomilepaw's body seemed to freeze as Dawnstar began a rant following her new name. It felt like someone had closed their claws around her lungs, taking the place of ribs. They seemed to dig into every crevice in her chest, stopping her breathing and sparking brand new tears into her eyes.
Why did she have to be so scared? She didn't want to be scared. Her sisters were fine, so why was she this way? The crowd's eyes seemed to bore into her as Dawnstar continued the assignments, like she'd never even said a thing. Her throat seemed to quiver as she breathed out a few wheezed breathes, paying little mind to the parting lick Sunsetpaw had given her. She was in the deep end, seemingly submerged under an infinite amount of water. Not a single way to swim up. Her glazed eyes hardly even noticed the pawsteps approaching her;
Those of her new mentor.
And like machinery, her body started up again. Chest rose and fell, mottled fur flattened, and tears finally began wetting the mismatched cheeks of the new apprentice. Her head cranked up bit by bit before her yellow eyes finally met the terrifying blue ones of the warrior before her. She wasn't even sure if she had caught the warrior's name in her emotional turmoil.
Of course, the warrior wasted no time in continuing Dawnstar's lecture; Chamomilepaw was her challenge, after all. The apprentice's eyes flickered back to her sisters for only a moment, the sight of their own traditional nose bumps with their brand new mentors filling her with longing. Of course, her gaze found its' way back onto Addersnow in time for her next words.
Disposed of? The kitten's blood ran ice cold as she heard those words. Everything around her seemed to rocket out of its' dullness, becoming much too high definition thanks to her anxiety; the chattering of the cats around her, wind whistling through the pines that towered above, and the glint of Addersnow's teeth against the wintery sunlight.
She couldn't hold the cry in anymore. "Uuuuuu....! Pl-pleas-e-ee n-no...!" Chamomilekit wailed, golden eyes turning into pinpricks in fear. "I-I-I d-d-dddd-d-on't want t-t-ttt-o be so scar-r-red, bu-b-but...!" Her words trailed off into a blubbered mess of sounds as she bowed her head to the ground in attempt to placate the older cat.

Sharppaw nodded once again. At this point, she'd much rather learn how to fight better but she wasn't about to argue, especially since she'd have to figure put how to do it in sign language. The mute apprentice didn't have the time for that and all training was good.
She was surprised to hear that Hawkshade had received training from the deputy. She hadn't paid much attention to him recently docshe wasn't sure if she was a former apprentice or relative. Either way, this was useful information. And Hawkshade seemed to enjoy talking a lot, while Sharppaw enjoyed listening and learning. She sat back into the crowd.

The ginger she cat was half-paying attention to the gathering, when she heard her named be called. For half a moment her heart stopped, her mind racing with reasons. Did Dawnstar find out about her and Orchid!? Was she in trouble!? But no, she was just getting an apprentice. Nightpaw, their name was. She looked for them for a moment before spotting them. "Hello. It's nice to meet you, I hope we can get along, and finish your training." She gave the apprentice a smile, before giving their nose a light bump.

*Nightpaw* Nightpaw blinks in shock. "Finish it? I have never even started." The black tom says softly, voice low.
~Shadowpaw~
Another black tom looks up. Shadowpaw looks at Nightpaw. The black tom walks to Nightpaw. "Nightpaw, this is your mentor?" Shadowpaw looks the ginger she-cat up and down in confusion.
Galeflower's ears pricked in surprise as her name was called. Dawnstar chose her to oversee the training of some young upstart - great idea to force her to figure everything out despite her general lack of experience in any form of mentoring. Galeflower was ecstatic regarding the mighty, well-informed decision made by her completely competent leader. Woo. Abandoning her seat by the warriors' den, the tortie stepped forth and scanned the crowd. She didn't know exactly who she was looking for, but she was sure she would figure it out. She always did. Eventually.
Her newly appointed apprentice - Dapplepaw, was it? - initially seemed nowhere to be found. That is, until a small voice piped up from the other end of the clearing. 'Galeflower-lady'? Really? Flicking her ear in annoyance, the lithe she-cat padded toward the smaller cat, shoulders hunched. Seemed... weird. Ditzy. Ugh. Appearing behind him, the short gray and creamy-brown tortie surveyed her apprentice, unimpressed. "Hey. Looks like I'm your mentor." And before he could try, "Forget about us touching noses." He was... giggling. Wriggling around like a little worm. Galeflower certainly wasn't immediately fond of the little thing, but she would try to whip him into shape as best she could.
"So you're a reassignment; what did your old mentor teach you?" It was important, Galeflower decided, to figure out what she was dealing with, and subsequently decide how much effort she had to put into the young tom's training. From the looks of it, a lot, but hey - she could be completely wrong. At the very least, she hoped the little thing had some fight in him. She could work with someone passionate about training, regardless of skill level. First impression aside, Dapplepaw at least didn't seem boring. Maybe they could get up to some hijinks in the other Clans' territories. Who knew what Dapplepaw would be up for? Leave it to- Oh, frog-dung. She had forgotten to pay attention. Focus on his answer, lizard-brain. You only get one first impression, and you'd better make it a good one.
