Morning mask
The meeting was usual, she listened through it without any change of expression, a blank uninterested look as it was just apprentices being signed mentors, she quickly gazed around in surprise as her name was called by the leader as a mentor. Now just to find her new apprentice, she was going to make this training count hopefully. She blinked a few times as she then retook her uninterested expression. She hoped to spot AshPaw, and greet them nicely, she would have to be extra careful in how she acted now. For her this was still a surprise, she remembered her last apprentice, she believed they had never even appeared, which was something she was relieved by. Shaking off these feelings that clenched her from what she was supposed to be doing, she took in a breath steadying her thoughts once more. “I am your mentor, morning mask.” she waited to touch Noses, her apprentice was going to hopefully be something she could train easily, this was technically her first time training an apprentice. So she would have to make use out of the benefits this was bringing her and be as mentor like as possible.

That was it, she was Ashpaw now. No more being a kit and being useless to the clan. But, she would’ve looked for her mentor if she wasn’t keeping her gaze on her sister. She wanted to tell off Dawnstar for being so insensitive of how her sister was just nervous, and how doing anything like that was horrible, before she was greeted by her mentor, startled her.

Her dark green eyes slowly came from watching her sister to her mentor, where she didn’t exactly change her expression. “Mhm. Alright. Just tell me anytime training starts.” She bumped noses with her mentor, before going back to looking to her sister. She wanted to let it be true that her sister was going to be okay, but from her sister’s horrible anxiety to Addersnow’s toughness, it was easy to doubt.

Morning mask
She stared at Ash paw with narrowed eyes, “ I better make sure they focus more on training.” She thought, as she wondered how to do so, she lifted a paw nudged ash paw with it, the apprentice definitely needed to focus more on them self then what was going with whoever it was they where looking at. “We can start training tomorrow, and work on your focus on the training Well doing so.” she muttered, louder on the part about focus. trying to follow where there gaze had been, before failing to do so and refocusing in the apprentice.

Spiderwebpaw let out a squeal of excitement and bundled over to his new mentor, tapping noses briefly before launching into talking,
"Hello Robinkitty! My name is Spiderwebki-paw! I'm so pleased to make your aq-aq-aq-... I'm so pleased to meet you!!!" The little albino tom bounced up and down on the balls of his paws, his fur sticking out in all directions despite his harried grooming earlier, "So! Robinkitty, what will we do first?? I wanna become a Bigkitty as soon as possible!"
His eyes danced as he mentioned the Bigkitties, and how he was talking to one, being mentored by one!
"I'm going to be the best p-p-prodigy you've ever had, Robinkitty! Just you wait and see! I'm going to do a tip-top pre-pre-preform-preformance!"
He so wanted to run to Robinkitty and bestow a hug upon her, but he didn't know if she was a grumpus wumpus like the rest of ShadowkittyClan.
"Robinkitty, Robinkitty! Can I give you a hug?? I'm so-o-o-o-o excited that today has finally ar-arrived! I've been dreaming of it forever!"

Goldenstep purred as her kits' new apprentice names were announced. She listened closely for their mentors. Sunsetpaw would be mentored by Stormwing. Goldenstep didn't know much about Stormwing but she was confident that anywhere Stormwing slacked off, Sunsetpaw would put him back on track; she laughed to herself. Addersnow's name was called. Goldenstep's paws shifted, she prayed to Starclan that it was one of the other pawful of apprentices assigned to the newly-made warrior. But her prayers were dashed as her leader motioned towards Chamomilepaw. Goldenstep felt her stomach flip. Dawnstar's words felt like claws raking through her pelt. She felt battered but defiant, Chamomilepaw is not weak, she's just a kit! Fear was not something that could be driven from a cat with more fear. She's fearful now, but that will only make her into a smart warrior. A warrior without some fear was reckless. Goldenstep looked to her young daughter, reaching out with her eyes, wanting to comfort her kit, being there for and comforting your kit was not sheltering, it's what a parent does to foster their confidence!

But Dawnstar was moving on. Ashpaw was given to Morningmask. Ashpaw was another kit of hers that Goldenstep didn't worry too much about. Their most recent conversation had her concerned that Ashpaw was dangerously the opposite of Chamomilepaw, willing to do anything to feel worthy, even at the cost of her own self, but she'd give Morningmask a run for her mentorship. She was happy for her brother, being granted an apprentice. But her mind couldn't pull away from Chamomilepaw and her worries.

Gingercry watched proudly as his kin were given their apprentice names and assigned mentors and his son was given his own apprentice. He rolled his eyes with an easy smile at Dawnstar's apparent accusation of Chamomilepaw's kin sheltering her. Sure, maybe they sheltered the kit a bit, but such serious words over a young cat barely out of the nursery. How many cats were the same cat at their warrior ceremony as they were at their apprentice ceremony? Gingercry took the comment for what it was, a lot of tough talk to encourage the young'un to shape up, not much else. There'd only be reason to worry if she didn't grow, but what were the odds?

Pigeonpaw called out the new apprentices' names "Lynxpaw! Chamomilepaw! Sunsetpaw! Ashpaw! Spiderwebpaw! Howlpaw! Snarlpaw!" If not more for herself than them, she wanted to remember their names so she could introduce them to the den. They'd be useless to spar with right now. That Chamomilepaw would likely never be useful to spar with. She cocked her head at the crying new apprentice. How embarrassing.

At the sound of Mistlegaze’s name being called out, her eyes widened in surprise, but she couldn't hold back the smile that came across her face. Immediately, she knew that a good first impression was vital since she hadn't really talked to Lynxpaw that much. After all, this was Mistlegaze’s first time being a mentor, so it was natural for her to be nervous, but she still tried to push her nerves down. With a warm look in her eyes, she rose to her paws and padded to Lynxpaw. "Hey, I'm Mistlegaze, your new mentor." She softly touched noses with her new apprentice. "It's nice to meet you."

"You better train me good!" The hyper tom mewed. "You better make me just as strong as my dad and uncle!" Lynxpaw growled.

He gave a discontented grunt as he heard his name be called. Mentorship. Great. He didn't want to be a mentor, but he knew it would be good for him, so he had to accept the task. Howlpaw, Howlpaw, Howlpaw... Where ya at? He craned his neck to scan the clearing, hoping to catch eyes with his new apprentice, giving his face a quick grooming to make it look like he at least tried.

He was 5 moons. 5 moons! So close to 6! Why couldn't he be called just the teeniest bit earlier so he could have his apprentice ceremony with his friend, Ashpaw. He howled her name the loudest, because she was the only one that bothered to hang out with him. He scanned the clearing for her, and he caught his eye on her grey pelt, and he saw she was communicating to Morningmask, though she didn't look very focused. Shaking out his pelt, he darted over to her, eyeing her with excitement. "Heyo! Congratulations on your ceremony." He said, giving her wide smile, ignoring his tooth rubbing against his skin.

He didn't bother calling anybody's name, it was a waste of time in his opinion. He stared the the other apprentices, giving them all grunts of discontent as he glared at them. I hate all of you, I hope you know. His gaze scoured the clearing as he gave them all individual notes inside of his head, telling them all he disliked them. Inside his head of course.

The white and black flecked tom touched noses with his new apprentice, hoping it wouldn’t be as disastrous as his last. Gingerpaw had refused to listen to him at all, preferring to just go off on her own and do whatever she liked. She never showed up for a single lesson. Though, from the look in Snarlpaw’s eyes, he’d have different problems with this cat. From what he had heard, the black cat’s father had taken it upon himself to go on and train Snarlpaw when he was a kit in some things. That would either make it easier or harder on Loonfeather.

“We’ll go out after the meeting so I can show you the borders of the territory,” he said. It was a statement, not a question. He had a feeling he’d need to be firm with this apprentice. “Tomorrow we can see where you’re at in your training to see what else you need to learn.”

Mistlegaze tilted her head, her expression neutral as she examined the apprentice. He was definitely eager — that much was obvious — but it relieved Mistlegaze in a way. She would much rather train an ambitious apprentice than a brooding or lazy one. Eventually, she cracked a small smile and let out a soft chuckle. “Oh, of course. I swear that I’ll do my absolute best.” She politely dipped her head. The molly wanted her apprentice to know that she respected him as much as he respected her, and she had no intention of being overbearing. “Whenever you’d like, we can head out and you can show me any skills you may have already heard of. Either later today or tomorrow would be perfect with me.”
