The young apprentice was completely aware of the fact that he probably shouldnt be out there on his own, but as long as he didnt get caught that didnt matter, right? Still, ThunderClan would be glad that he was taking initiative and being responsible, what with him remarking the border and all. It had been a bit, judging by the relatively faint smell, so if he didnt do it then who would?
Mistylight
The blue and grey warrior had taken her usual stroll to sort out her mind and maybe see if she could still see many birds about, maybe hear them sing a little, and she hadn't really noticed her paws slowly bringing her towards the Windclan border. She hadn't planned to visit any particular area of Thunderclan's territory, but as she spotted a pelt through the few trees between her and Thunderglade, she thought it couldn't hurt to see who was there. She hadn't talked with anyone from Windclan in quite a while, so she wouldn't at all mind checking in with them, since Thunderclan had with Windclan a decent relationship - something that could not be said for their other two neighbors.
But as the older molly made her way through the trees and on to the open area, she didn't spot a patrol or lone warrior like she had expected, but just one apprentice. She frowned since cats that young certainly shouldn't be outside alone. "Goldenpaw." Despite the situation there wasn't a trace of irritation or frustration in her gentle voice as she approached him. "May I ask why you're here? You know very well you shouldn't be."

Goldenpaw | he/him | sorry in advance for him being a butt lol
Approaching pawsteps sounded from...somewhere behind him, but the apprentice didnt try to hide or run away. Why should he? He was literally just doing his job, no big deal. He shook out his curly fur briefly before turning to trot over to the nearing cat. "Yo!" he greeted calmly, as if he were speaking to a denmate during sunhigh. Well, it was sunhigh, but that wasnt the point. "Im...remarking the border? What does it look like?" he raised an eyebrow, gazing incredulously at her.

Mistylight
There was a hint of a smile on her face, but Mistylight stood calm, only greeting the apprentice back (he was breaking a rule but that was no excuse to be impolite, after all). Marking the border hu? She had to admit that the scent was a bit stale on their part she was sure Copperfire would send out new patrols soon, he seemed like a good deputy. "It looks like you're outside without a warrior with you." She was technically confronting Goldenpaw about this, but she still couldn't keep a warm, calm smile from creeping onto her face when she was speaking. "I do appreciate you helping out if you notice the border getting stale, but what about you ask me to come with you next time?" A slight tilt of her head at the end, not wanting to make this too serious. She meant the last part, since she really wouldn't mind to take a walk with someone who needed to get out of camp.

Goldenpaw | he/him
"I guess" he sighed, shrugging lightly, I dunno why I need to do that in the first place, though. I can fight just fine. Beside,s its not like im gonna die from steppin' out of camp without a babysitter or anything" At least he wasnt getting yelled at. Some warriors seemed way to eager to shout at younger cats, as if that was gonna solve anything. He scrunched his nose briefly. Actually, come to think of it, there were even apprentices who did that. Talk about a butterfly effect.

Mistylight
Her calm smile remained as Goldenpaw agreed, somewhat at least. Mistylight had never been a cat to raise her voice or get angry at cats, especially apprentices easily, tending to dislike warriors who did, and it seemed approaching others with friendliness worked again. A light chuckle at the apprentice's confidence in his own abilities (a good trait as long as it didn't get out of hand), but it caught in her throat at the last thing he said. It's not like im gonna die from stepping out of camp. She swallowed hard when she thought back to just how many young cats had died or disappeared because 'they stepped out of camp in' Goldenpaw's words. An attack by a rogue, an unfortunate meeting with a badger, even just an accident...
But that was nothing she would worry him with now, and almost as quickly as it had disappeared, the smile grew back, even if it was a little more forced than usual.
This border seemed to have been freshly marked, which Flameheart did appreciate greatly. Mistylight and... Goldenpaw. The young warrior sighed in relief. At least some of my Clanmates are taking their duties seriously... Guess I'll just hunt now that all the border markers are refreshed. There aren't many birds... I suppose I can try to find a vole or two... Taking all pressure off of her leg, Flameheart began stalking, feeling for vibrations of nearby prey. Following the vibrations, the young warrior headed off in the direction of the prey. It was thankfully heading into ThunderClan territory. She didn't manage to find voles, but she did manage to get her eyes on a couple of mice.
Tightening her position into a hunter's crouch, the young classic tabby Maine Coon darted forward, doing her best to keep her weight off her injured shoulder. The two mice were... very small, but they'd be enough to feed the kits. Picking up her catches, Flameheart looked at WindClan's side of the border to double-check and make sure no cat tried stealing prey, she headed back to camp, looking quite pleased with her productive day out in the forest.
[Closed, solo hunting]

As the pair approached the border, Pinestrike looked over her shoulder at Milkpaw. "Have you done a border patrol before?" she questioned, all the while looking back towards camp to see if Tumblebreath would join them.
Milkpaw (he/him) Creamy-white fluffy fur and green eyes. Chonky face!

Thunderglade. The border that divided Windclan and Thunderclan. Milkpaw walked behind Pinestrike, glancing at the mass of trees that formed a thick forest in distance. That must be where Thunderclan lives. It looks... very crowded.
The warrior's voice broke into the apprentices' thoughts. "Uh, yes." He nodded, trying to focus and remember the patrols he'd joined in the past. "A hunting one.. and a herb patrol for Cowpaw." Yes, he remembered. But he didn't know one bit what he was supposed to do now, on a border between clans.
Once both cats had joined her, Mistylight sat course towards the Thunderglade. She had met Goldenpaw there a few days prior, and though he had been there to mark the border, the scent was still stale as no patrol had been there for a long time. At least not a Thunderclan one, but she could smell rather fresh Windclan scent.
"Ok." She mewed and turned to the two younger cats. "I know you know how to mark borders, Embertalon," a soft smile towards the fresh warrior "but has anyone shown you how it's done?" She looked to the apprentice. She didn't mind showing how if it was needed, since she knew not all mentors taught that to their apprentices.

Giving a nod, the little tabby signaled with her tail to the left side. "Very well, then this shouldn't be difficult. Go ahead and start that way, and I'll take the other half," she instructed before setting off to rub against the foliage.

EMBERTALON
Giving a nod to Mistylight, she looked to the border. "I'll get started on this side while you instruct, if that's alright," she offered before padding away to inspect the scent marks on their side of the border.
