Foxpaw snorted as Beanpaw spun around. She liked shocking others, it meant she was as good at walking silently as she thought. Not only that, but it was funny to see the surprise spread across the other apprentices face as he bounced around. It looked like he was going to jump into the tree. "No need to be so surprised. I'm good at being silent." She bragged, her head held high once more. After realizing what she had said, she clenched her eyes shut and nearly hissed at herself. Foxpaw was trying to work on bragging less, though it wasn't working that well.

"I scared you? What did you think I was? An evil Riverclan warrior?" She held back the instinct to rush forward and hiss. She wasn't sure if Beanpaw, being as terrified as he looked, could take a joke. "What's wrong with climbing the tree? Why are you so worried about me not liking the idea of you climbing it?" Where he had gotten that thought from? Was he really that self-conscious? She had been told before that her voice always made her sound mad, but was it so mad that it would make a cat, like Beanpaw, freak out?

Well, there was that one time with Whitewolf. She must sound really disgusted by Beanpaw and that tree. She smiled softly. It sounded funny when put in her mind. She was jerked out of her thoughts when she noticed how sad he looked. She glanced up to where he was looking and frowned. Was that a feather? It was rather pretty. Why would he be embarrassed by looking for it.

"Have I ever climbed a tree?" It was a seemingly disconnected question, which made it a bit of a surprise. That, paired with the fact that Beanpaw could do anything other than apologies. "Er- no. I'd like to try though. Have you? Do you want to give it a shot with me?" Focusing on toning down her natural annoyance, she sounded kind of nice? She wasn't certain. Foxpaw would have to ask Oatkit when she got back.

The slender tom strolled forward, for once lost in his own thoughts instead of panning out battles strategies. But to be fair a lot had been going down lately. He and his sister had both received their warrior names, Shadowclan had gotten a new deputy which was always bad news, and Riverclan was still the same.


But Sparrowtail couldn't yet change any of that, not until Dogbark stepped down or died and Aspenstar finally made him the deputy. But when that day came at last everyone who ever challenged Thunderclan would come to regret their mistake! And if he outlived their current leader he would make sure they became the unstoppable storm they had always meant to be.


But that time wasn't now, Sparrowtail era would come in its due time, but not quite yet. So to get his mind of his dreams and troubles the tall warrior dropped down into a hunters crouch and tasted the air for scents. And found one! Creeping closer until he could see his prey. It was something young, a rabbit but it wasn't fully grown yet.


A slight frown came across Sparrowtail face as he thought. If he killed the rabbit now it be food for the clan, but if he let it go and grown up it could be even more food in leaf-bare when it was more needed. But then again if he did so someone else might catch it and either get the credit or bring it to another clan than his. Making up his mind he took a leap and landed with his long claws right at the rabbit's back and one strong bite later it hang limp in his jaws.

~Sparrowflight~

Racing through the trees, Sparrowflight's muzzle opened into a pleased grin as the breeze flowing through the forest rushed through her fur. Leaf-fall was setting in with a vengeance, so taking her runs on non-rainy days were starting to be a rare occurrence and she appreciated any day that the clouds held back their fury from the sky.

Whipping around another bush, she spotted the weeping tree and let out a satisfied purr as she ran. That would be as good a place as any to stop and rest before heading back to camp. Maybe she could even get some hunting done to add to her clan's prey stores!

A sudden interruption to her quiet musings came in the form of another cat suddenly appearing in the peripheries of her vision with a freshly killed rabbit. Slowing down to an easy-going trot, Sparrowflight offered a kind smile to her clanmate as she approached.

"Prey running well out here?" she inquired, before glancing around the area. If it was she might just have to take a look around herself before she took a rest.
