THE BEGINNING
There is a waterfall, the water glimmers and runs into a vast river. Cats have told tales of this place, that the stars themselves blessed it with plenty of fish all throughout every season.
They say cats who drink from the river are blessed with good luck, and that they will gain the knowledge to help their clans in times of crisis. FALL FROM GRACE
One, fatal day, two legs came and ruined the glory of the waterfall and its river. They did something unknown to cats, but whatever it was, it poisoned the river, and from that day forward, the river was no longer blessed. Everything that touched it died, and it soon dried up. A CHILD BORN
One day, a kitten was born, named after a catfish. Like a fish that was once in the river, it was kind and thoughtful, only trying to help others.
As the cat aged, it only grew more kind, helping others rather than itself. The Clan it was born into had to move to the mountains because of the others, and the catfish was only worried about the stability of others. THE RETURN
The cats return to their home like the star-blessed river starts to run again. The catfish is glad to return just like a fish to water. It hopes to protect and assist the other cats it knows, and though it is quiet, it is ready to speak it's mind and help with problems.

Catfishwhisker was organizing some herbs when it noticed cats were entering the den. One was injured, while the other was supporting that cat.
"Sit." Catfishwhisker told the injured cat, so it could assess their injuries. Once the cat sat, Catfishwhisker circled, analyzing where they were bleeding from. It looked to be a bite wound, and based on the size it looked to be another cat.
"Tell me what happened."
As the uninjured cat explained that there had been a rogue on the border, Catfishwhisker had started working. Moss was used to staunch the bleeding, and cobwebs over it to protect it.
"You are lucky it wasn't worse." It said, before scooting some poppy seeds toward the injured cat "Take these, it'll ease the pain and help you sleep. You will be resting for the next few days, and come back to me if it bothers you."
With that, Catfishwhisker watched as the two cats left, giving a flick of it's tail as it went back to what it had been doing before.

Here's some things about myself;
1. I am active almost all the time, I try to keep all my cats as active as possible as well. The only time I'm not decently active is when I'm asleep!
2. I try to give all of my characters depth, and though I may have a lot, I find it fun to write a bunch of different kinds of cats!

welcome to nectar's med cat application! for my application, i've decided to ask my fiancee who is adept at doing tarot readings to help me by performing a reading for this application! disclaimer before we begin: i am not going to sugar coat this whatsoever. whatever reading is given to me and whatever they tell me in regards to the questions i ask will be directly written into this application! that means good or bad! not only will the meaning of the card be explained, but every card is represented by a myth that ties into the reading! so sit back, relax, and let fate take it's toll... destiny is waiting.
You finally brush past the curtain that obscures your vision. A hand moves in front of you to brush away the rolling fog that's settled into the room from an unknown source. At the table sits a figure. Their face is hidden away by the shadow of their hood but they invite you to take a seat across from them. Hesitantly, you do so. They already know why you're here.
Dancing lights twinkle above your head and you take a moment to take in the atmosphere. Aside from the orbs that float gently overhead the room is lit with candlesticks, flames flickering and sending shadows swaying across the walls. Knick knacks of all kinds decorate the space but most interesting of all is what is before you on the table. Atop an ornate tablecloth is a deck of cards, already shuffled and prepared for you. Again, they knew why you had come. The answers are already laid out before you, you must choose them for yourself.
The cards have been chosen by your own hands. What myths and truths lie beneath their surfaces?

The Ten of Wands. On the card is a painting of a fruit tree growing through the eye socket of a skull. Wildlife flourishes around it.
"Card of overwork. Obligation, and duty. He is a hard worker, he is meticulous and thorough. On the opposite end he doesn’t accept help easily. The myth of this card art is about a man looking for his missing daughter, and instead of asking for help, he worked alone. He ends up dying on his search and a tree grows and bears fruit from his skull. Ultimately he is stubborn but a good worker. It will take him time to accept help but he will get things done through the means available to him."
how would he perform his duties?
The Eight of Swords. The card shows an image of a young girl in a donkey's hide surrounded by knives, hiding alone in a cave.
"This is about whether or not he can get past insecurity. A crisis, a paralysis. Immediately when he takes on this role it might be more than he bargained for. He thought he was ready for it but might not be. It's a moment of being overwhelmed. However, it is also a decision card. Learning new perspectives– you can curl up in your shell of crisis or let go and see things in a new way. The path is yours. The myth this card portrays is about a girl that was forced into hiding faced with a choice. To stay in hiding or to face the world."
what is in his future if he is chosen?
The Knight of Cups. On this card there is a young man atop a horse, standing in the ocean.
“A messenger. A kind and gentle card. It represents chivalry and taking action. Willing to take a stand for what you believe in. A person that saves or helps people that aren’t doing so well on their own. The character in the myth befriends a dragon to save his home, ravaged by the elements. At the end of the story he sacrifices himself to save everyone he loves. It’s a card of self sacrifice out of love and loyalty.”
The final card is the Knight of Coins. This card shows a boy on an ox, staring off into the horizon.
“Hard work and ambition and persistence. The knight of coins is a reference to a myth of a ‘stubborn ox’. He is stuck in his belief but his heart is in the right place. A little bit isolated, strong and loyal. Work going unappreciated. Summing up everything that has been given tonight most of these cards are means of isolation, but also love and hard work."
"Based off this reading he would work really hard and maybe be underappreciated. He might be a little stressed by the new knowledge and responsibility. A lot of road blocks and lack of familiarity. Everything is new, he has to interact with many people, but he will stick to his guns and make good decisions. There will be fruits to his labor even if he one day may not see it."

- i am an experienced writer with a passion for making characters. my very first character ever made on wco over a year ago now is still active today. i've been writing for over 15 years! i love to write and this position would really help me get my spark back.
- i love community. in the past when i was an hr, things were certainly different both on site and within my personal life. things have changed in both and i am now more than ready to take on the responsibility with far more steel in my nerves than before. now that i know what it's like i am better for it.
- that being said, i know how the site works and how my duties work! i can do allegiance sweeps, i can do herb storage, i can send out patrols... whatever is needed!
- communication is a big deal for me. i prefer to know what's going on and be involved in what's going on! so i am more than willing to give out my discord and be active in whatever group chats i am needed in.
