Hurrying into the crowd . Hawkpaw skidded to a halt and took his seat. Trying to act as if he was always there. Eyes gazing up at owlstar, he did manage to catch a tiny bit of info as he dashed over. So aspenpaw is the leaders apprentice huh?....well lucky you... feeling a bit jealous . Wait the meeting was dismissed !? He flattened his ears and lowered his head "what about me

Owlstar looked down at Amberpaw with a somber smile. "A body was never found, but bits of his fur were spotted near the entrance of a mountain lion's den. I'm sorry, Amberpaw, but there is no way that he is alive," she said, touching her nose to the apprentice's head.
Hearing the tom's voice, she looked up, her ears flicking in embarrassment. "Ah, yes, Hawkpaw! I have not forgotten!" She turned and leaped back onto the Highledge, staring down at the apprentice. "Hawkpaw[ @SilentLamb ], you have not received a mentor despite being an apprentice. This is no good, and it is time for that to change," she looked over the clearing before settling on his mentor, "Wavewind [ @Slushie ], I trust that you will pass on your knowledge to this young apprentice. Train him well and bring him to be a great warrior of SageClan."
She dipped her head and smiled, then shouted, "this meeting is now dismissed!"

Head perking up, his eyes sparkled at being given a mentor . His tail swished back and forth as he whirled his head around to see wavewind. Only to be slightly heartbroken . The tom didn't look excited ....then again sleep could be seen on his face. He trotted over with his tail bobbing and head high "sup? " he greeted.

Aspenpaw's gaze didn't leave the ground. "Right..." she murmured.

She took a few more steps back, merging herself back into the crowd of cats. For some reason—maybe it was because she had interrupted Hawkpaw's ceremony—the heat of embarrassment tinged her cheeks. The imprint of Owlstar's nose on her head lingered, the only thing keeping her tethered to the reality of it all, the weight of Harespot's death.

Who was her new mentor? Aspenpaw sat down, looking around at everyone. It couldn't be Wavewind, since he just got an apprentice, or Cloverwish, of course, since she was the medicine cat...

Oh. Wait.

Owlstar. How could she have forgotten that already? She shook her head violently, as if that would jog her memory. I'm just not thinking clearly, Aspenpaw decided.

Wavewind shook his head in sad acknowledgement. A mountain lion? Owlstar was right; Harespot couldn't possibly be alive if that was what had been found. But his ears perked up and he raised his head, surprise sparking in his eyes. An apprentice? Of my own? He turned to scan the clearing for Hawkpaw, only to find the young tom already in front of him. Wavewind offered a nervous smile. "I know I'm young, but don't you worry," he said. "I'll make sure to teach you everything you need to know about being a warrior."

Bubblepaw lowered her gaze. She wouldn't dare to believe it. Harespot could still be alive. A but of fur meant nothing if there was no blood. She glanced over at Wavewind and his new apprentice before rising to her paws and trotting over to Cloverwish. She wouldn't let the news of Harespot's supposed death weigh her down, and instead plastered am excited smile over her face. "What am I gonna learn today?"

Tilting his head, Hawkpaw shrugged " as long as your not strict or boring that's fine with me. " he smiled with a tail swish. He looked back at aspenpaw only to have his jealousy grow more " pretty lucky though ain't it?I mean...out of any of us...then again it makes sense..the clan doesn't have many cats..." he commented only to flare his nostrils .

The anxious smile grew into an excited grin, and Wavewind flicked his tail. "Boring?" he exclaimed, all tiredness seeming to have vanished. His eyes were bright and shining. "If I ever become boring, I'll know before you do; I'll be passed out on the ground!" He jumped past Hawkpaw, exposed fangs flashing as he gave a hearty laugh and made straight for the camp's entrance. "Come on, Hawkpaw! Well start with a tour of the territory and a lesson on our predators and prey. It'll be fun!"

Giving a chuckle the tom followed . Although his ears flattened in slight disappointment I thought we were doing battle training...but I guess .
Giving a exhail Hawkpaw followed wavewind with a small glare. "can we do some battle training after this?" he asked with a hopeful tone.
