Red listened carefully. Can she say she only does that when it’s Fadingsun or Seabreeze talking? Well. Faded and Willow got her undivided attention too but…

She stepped up, banishing the thoughts of her friends. “Sounds good.”

She sat down, a bemused expression on her face as she watched two apprentices tumble around.

Defense wasn’t her thing exactly, but she could use some work on it.

Mudsmoke- uh wait. Ok mudPAW made his way over to the floodstone after hearing Fadingsun's call. Clanmeeting? No didn't look like it. Fadingsun was hosting an event, practicing in case of a battle with Windclan? He wouldn't say he hadn't had his suspicions after last gathering but if there had been any peace between them and Windclan before. It was a sure as hell gone now. In his opinion it was just a matter of days before Twilightstar sent an army of rabbit to come trample them and he'd be surprised if she didn't. The old hare was most likely going to declare war against them next gathering, paranoia said she might even invade their camp while the were AT the gathering. Would Windclan stoop that low though? Probably after the stunt Dusklion pulled by killing their deputy.

Sit down in the crowd he patiently waited for Fadingsuns next command. Whatever it was, was this going to be another battle training event? Mudsmoke hated battle training- mudpaw.... Oh well atleast its not like anyone would call him mudpaw unless he told them he got demoted for the next quarter moon. And if the called him mudsmoke he wasn't going to outwardly correct them. That would just be embarrassing.

Camp defense... Wrenpaw definitely wanted to partake in this. She'd do anything to defend her home, and if that meant ripping a WindClan bunny's throat from their body then so be it. She sort of hoped that their camp wouldn't end up being raided, but that was unrealistic and wishful thinking. ThunderClan knows where they are and Wrenpaw wouldn't put it past Bumblestar to sell that information. So defense practice is good - ideal, even. Though why they haven't moved camp to a different location after ThunderClan's first intrusion here during Larkstar's lead, Wren had no idea.

Blizzardpaw appeared. She had little knowledge of battle, but she would do her best to defend her clan. It was clear that Riverclan sort of deserved this, but only some cats did! Maybe when Windclan shows up at our camp and tries to murder all of us Fadingstar will appear from his den and clear out all of this misinformation and we'll all be saved! Blizzardpaw knew that idea was foolish, but she could dream.

Stagheart paused from munching on some fresh-kill when he heard Fadingsun's call. Stars, he could agree with that — they needed all the preparation they could get. He'd like nothing more than to stretch his paws and get his muscles warmed up for the possible invasion. With all that RiverClan had done lately, he'd be more surprised if the rabbits didn't descend on them right now.

The large warrior heaved himself to his paws and padded over, dipping a nod to Mudsmoke — who was looking rather dejected lately, he noticed — as he passed.

Blackfrost made her way over at the leader's call. She felt a steely resolve at the prospect of being invaded, and waited for the next instructions as the crowd grew. She knew as well as anybody that WindClan wouldn't be in the wrong for it, but it was frustrating nonetheless to have that chance looming over the clan at the fault of a few foolish young warriors. Precious blood would be spilt, and for what?

She shook herself out of her thoughts. It would do no one any good to dwell on bitter resentment or exasperation.

Paleshadow knew a war was on the horizon. You could see it in the frightened eyes of RiverClan's warriors, in the bristled pelts all packed together. In the scorn that WindClan stared at them with. And in the dangerous, promising yowl of revenge from the leader of the wind cats herself. A war was coming, and it was going to bring a storm like Paleshadow had never seen before.

And she was rightfully afraid.

So, on careful paws, the pale she-cat made her way over, eyes wide and chin angled down in a shy stare as she gathered for the leader's call.

cobwebpaw flicked her ear, confused when the call that came out of fadingsun's mouth when he hopped on the floodstone wasn't the typical one. it turned out he was calling for an evacuation drill. windclan, though? windclan was going to attack them? cobwebpaw wondered why, before it hit her. dusklion's attack on the windclan deputy. no.. not attack.. murder. she stared out into the distance, thinking about this, before hopping up and joining the cats gathering at fadingsun's call.
