Beachkit -
Lacking the concept of what Wolfpaw was describing, they merely tilted their head, bewildered. Questions rested on their tongue, like where did the camp even GO? It couldn't just disappear into the ground. And hole? The ground could just, be a hole suddenly? "Can we go see it sometime?" was what they ended up landing on, finding that the most pertinent inquiry of them all. Witnessing it seemed the sole path to actually understanding. "Unless we can't, without it eating us..."
They envisioned a predator's mouth of sorts breaking through the dirt and undergrowth to clamp its jaws around a wide area before sinking back into the earth.
As they became more confident in the frozen mossball game, Beachkit bounded over to intercept its roll and whapped it with vigor, sending the thing flying a little further than they'd intended. "I'll get it!" they declared but were already dashing after the runaway ball. Not even the limits of camp could stop either of them as Beachkit finally stopped it a tail-length outside of the clearing before realizing where they were. Still well within seeing distance, but they'd never gone out this far.
The momentary awe was interrupted by a snowflake colliding with their wide eyes, and Beachkit shrunk back to blink it away. Hastily, they hooked the mossball and sent it headed back towards Wolfpaw with themselves in tow.
"I don't think it's gonna eat us." Wolfpaw had never been a huge fan of 'sneaking babies out of camp', just seemed foolish was all.. "Why don't we go over there once you're apprenticed? Just stick close to me 'n you'll be fine." He knew the camp before the collapse, and had a fair idea of the layout following the destruction.
Beachkit darted off after the ball, but -- oh, dung. Wolfpaw hadn't realized it was going past camp boundaries 'til it was too late, and Beachkit was outside. His pelt bristled as he hurried to join him - had to make sure he was quickly back within camp walls, when the start of snowfall hit him too.
Wolfpaw blinked at the large snowflakes but redirected his attention to making sure Beachkit was safe. "Way to give me a heart attack, jeeze!" Once he was back inside camp, Wolfpaw relaxed a bit and batted the ball back toward him - but angled so it wouldn't leave camp this time, hopefully.
"Get the hell out." Wolfpaw's voice was a low growl as he approached the duo, hackles raised. "Hittin' kids is abuse, plain and simple. You don't gotta draw blood for it to count, 'n the fact she didn't see a problem with that and blamed the apprentice for her actions is enough of an issue. You enabling 'n tryna normalize has no place here.
"Shadowshine hit kids without a second thought, without considering the impact on them or others. Then she went on to threaten Bumblestar and act like ShadowClan-- the Clan that skins cats for fun, would be justified in killing her. She actively spoke out and said the death of ThunderClan's best leader would be a blessing.
"And now you're actin' like Spiderthroat is an actual killer. You're just listenin' to the lies of our enemies, and you don't care. You just want to spread dung - both of you. So leave. Get the hell out of my camp, 'cause it's clear neither of you actual give a damn about our Clan-mates or ThunderClan." If they didn't go willingly, he'd make them. Wolfpaw was FED UP with the slander against the only cat who pushed ThunderClan forward.

Sunglow responded to Mapledawn, though kept her eyes on the entrance of Bumblestar's Den.
"You saw the way Bumblestar slunk out of camp after Shadowshine, right?"
The dappled warrior questioned her Clanmate, voice soft yet firm.
"If you did, you do realize that Bumblestar KILLED Shadowshine, right?"
Sunglow whisked her tail, carrying on without giving Mapledawn a chance to answer.
"Bumblestar killed Shadowshine, proving Shadowshine's suspicions about her right. I was sitting beside Shadowshine the entire time. Her claws were sheathed when she cuffed Sunpaw's ear. How is that abuse?"
"In ThunderClan, Mapledawn, under Bumbestar's orders, it's kill or be killed. In my opinion, that is nothing but dictatorship. As Shadowshine said, that is controlling us."
Sunglow looked at Mapledawn through angry amber eyes.
"Shadowshine was right. Have you noticed that expressing her opinion got Shadowshine killed?"
Sunglow fixed a blazing amber glare back on the ThunderClan Leader's Den, giving a lash of her tail.
"Shadowshine was right, and Bumblestar knew she was yet couldnt take it like a real leader, so she killed her. Not to mention her deputy's a murderer, too, and she only let him off with a warning."
"Bumblestar let Spiderthroat off with a warning, but StarClan forbid that if an ordinary warrior says something, then they're killed."
. 。・゜✭・.・✫゜・。. Mapledawn seemed taken aback by Sunglow's sudden words. She silently took a minute to think, her tail lashing.
"You're right," She finally spoke up. "I wasn't there when it happened. I just assumed Bumblestar was doing what she believed was right... To protect the Clan. BUt listening to you and from your perpective... It seems I may I not taken it the way it truly was. Someone's got to put a stop to this, shouldn't they? Someone that isn't afraid to stand up against the high ranks."
Mapledawn narrowed her eyes and looked at her Clanmates around her. What a shame. They must all believe the same thing she once did.

But what I also do know is sometimes just plain exile is enough to get rid of a cat, not murder! I thought that was something everyone agreed on, was it not?"
She stepped back in an attempt not to seem too threatening. She didn't want to come off as threatening.

"Plain exile isn't enough when cats are more sympathetic towards those actively seeking us harm. Shadowshine supported Dawnstar killing Bumblestar, do you not understand that cats like that have no issues giving out our camp location to make that a reality?" Wolfpaw saw this as a no-brainer, and the fact these cats didn't care enough about ensuring ThunderClan's safety bothered the hell out of him. "Some risks aren't worth it. As a warrior, you should understand that."
Arriving back into the clearing in time to hear rather... tense conversation, Redhawk glanced towards where two cats stood - Mapledawn and Sunglow - being confronted by Wolfpaw. Her ears perked in astonishment as she heard what he was saying, and then looked to the two warriors. Were they... still trying to justify Shadowshine's actions? It appalled her and though she knew the 'paw had it handled, there was no way she was going to let that fly.
They could not go back to how they were. Warriors holding power over those younger, thinking they were better because they had a rank and name with nothing to back it up.
Paws veering towards the situation, she came to flank Wolfpaw and leveled her gaze towards the two. "Warriors who want the C-Clan to fall back to what it once was - sss-smacking kids and pulling their p-power over them because of a rank a-and title - deserve no p-place in ThunderClan," she added with a narrowed glare. To her it seemed Mapledawn was simply backtracking to save face, which didn't bode well either.
Forelegs shook a little, just like they had in the meeting, but she would be damned if she allowed this to happen again. It wasn't just up to the apprentices like Wolfpaw to step up when they heard this; it was up to all of them. He had already said it all so there was nothing more to add, but Red would stay - shaking legs and all - because she knew standing up and saying something was the right thing to do.
. 。・゜✭・.・✫゜・。. "Yeah, I know. I completely understand that. You're right, I'm sorry. I should have paid more attention to the details instead of immediately judging someone just by hearing a single cat's opinion." Mapledawn shot a glance at Sunglow, then looked back at Wolfpaw. She blinked in surprise as Redhawk also walked up to them.
"The safety of ThunderClan is what matters right now, with all these cats coming at others left to right. I'll make sure I'm doing something at least useful." She dipped her head lightly at the apprentice and the warrior. "I promise you, I'm not justifying anyone's reasons for hurting a child."

Springpaw long-furred, oriental-shaped, gray-and-orange calico molly with blue eyes; torn right ear
purrks: herbal knowledge - tier 2 | the collector | mind reader | skip the steps[all perm. active; sts for battle training]
Even with all the patrols being sent out, the herb storage still looked as scarce as ever. There wasn’t enough herbs that was going to last throughout the entire leaf-bare, and if she and Drizzlecloud were going to get through the barren, cold weather without any possible issues with their clan-mates become crucially sick or injured, then they were going to properly prepare themselves for the worst when it arrived. Right now, Springpaw felt like she should go ahead and ask around if any of her clan-mates would be willing to go around and search for any herbs that could be found around the territory. However, she would want to search around both Herondive Hollow and Smallpines if she was wanting to make any progress with finding any herbs that’ll be crucial to the clan. Sure, both places were currently a big risk at the moment due to both ShadowClan and RiverClan being a minor threat at the moment, but they needed the herbs and if they just stayed on their side of the border, the better.
Having her eyes set on one of her clan-mates out in the clearing, Fawnsplash, Springpaw began to make her way towards the molly as she began to speak. “H… Hello, Fawnsplash… do you… want to… come with me… to search… around both… Smallpines… and Herondive Hollow… for any herbs?… I would… think that… we… should be… extra cautious… if we… think about… looking around… both of those… areas… given the… current situation… at the… moment,” Springpaw gave the tortoiseshell a quick, but simple smile after speaking as if to prove that she was wanting to go out and collect herbs and nothing else. Sure, there was still the reason that she was going out to collect herbs for the upcoming possibilities of war at Firefly Cove, but she wanted to be more careful about mentioning that around any of her clan-mates in case anything problematic were to occur.
@celeste [ sorry that this isn’t a great post, will get better later on. ]
Fawnsplash had been laying in the clearing, paws tucked under her fur. Shudders ran down her spine, the icy wind ruffling through her pelt. She eyed the icicles that were growing on the bramble outside of camp - it felt like there were a few of them growing on her as well, as her whole face felt frozen and numb. The numbness slowly reached from her face to her paws, from her paws to her tail, and she let out a little sigh. At least I can still move my mouth. She really needed something to do, even if that meant going out into the freezing winds. Getting up.. that was the harder part. It was comfortable to sit in the position of a loaf, although if she'd continue, she might have to roll through camp to move for the rest of her life because she wasn't able to use her frozen off paws anymore. Was that even possible?
Anyways - she should really start making an effort. With a twitch of her whiskers, she summoned all her strength and tried to move one of her paws, which just made it tingle. Ugh. Slowly, she began "reactivating" her whole body, frowning at the odd sensation. She reminded herself that next time, she should rather huddle in a nest or next to another cat instead of letting the harsh cold get to her. Fawnsplash was happy when finally she could move one of her legs without the weird sensation. That effect slowly spread through her body until she was able to get to her paws, though still a bit shaky on her legs. The brown spotted molly shook out her fur, small snowflakes and melted ice flying out of it. Oh.. she hoped she hadn't hit anyone.
What she'd just done was quite a weird display, so she hoped no one had been watching her. She really didn't need an awkward conversation today, and would rather just go hunting or do anything to forget the icy weather. Hold on.. there was someone coming towards her. The young warrior angled her head leftly, two colored eyes sparkling with curiosity. She managed to make out the shape of.. Springpaw, wasn't it? She briefly wondered why the medicine cat apprentice was coming towards her, but her question was answered when she began to speak. So, going to Herondive Hollow and Smallpines for some herbs? That sounded like a good plan to her. As Springpaw said - they'd have to be really careful around there, given the current tensions. Fawnsplash certainly was not letting the medicine cat apprentice of ThunderClan get murked by another clan cat, that would be quite problematic.
"I'd love to do that, Springpaw! Yep, we've gotta be careful around those areas, but.. I think we should be fine. We'll make sure to always be on guard, alright? Maybe keep your claws unsheathed once we're there, incase there's a surprise attack. They would be kinda dumb to attack you, but I don't trust them after everything that has happened. Well.. let's get going then," she mewed with a small smile.
(not my best post sorry lmk if something doesn't make sense my brain has been mush the past two days lol)
As a default, Wolfpaw doesn't trust cats who have such shaky faith in Bumblestar - but he trusts cats who are wishy washy even less. Mapledawn backed down way too easily for a cat who only moments ago, was ready to mutiny against Bumblestar. Because "she didn't look at the full picture." Either she was stupid, or she was hoping to get out of getting kicked out because she got caught. Either way, he isn't vibing with it, and he knows his mom wouldn't either. "No, you don't understand. You just talked about standing up 'n putting a stop to our high ranks. 'Cause they are lookin' out for the overall safety of our Clan, but you don't give a damn. You didn't, 'til you were confronted by us."
He was glad Redhawk was here, but irked about this situation. He expected more from cats within the warrior rank. Much like with Shadowshine, they consistently showed their inability to think and observe for themselves. He considered it rare to actually feel resentment toward cats. Sure, he disliked plenty - but resentment was something harder to obtain.
They are both fortunate he is not Bumba, as much as he wants to be. If anything, what he is opting for is a kindness. They might be exiled in spirit, but this saved them from Bumba's wrath. "I am not going back on what I said. Leave. Both of you. Your heart clearly does not have ThunderClan's best interest, if the word of one sways you so much you'd be against the cats trying to keep us safe."
. 。・゜✭・.・✫゜・。. "No, no no no. It's not that. I wasn't comletely against Bumblestar's rule, I really wasn't. I was... Only trying to support Sunglow in what she said. I'm sorry, I never know who to trust, but you can trust me, I swear. My heart and loyalty belongs in ThunderClan, and ThunderClan only." She glanced around and hoped that nobody was listening on this drama happening between her and the apprentice. "I do care about the Clan AND the safety of it, I just try to support cats as much as I can. That's when I can lie. I lie sometimes so I won't come out as rebelious. But I'm not lying right now, am I? I'm telling the full truth and you can trust me, Wolfpaw. I swear."

Ugh. More of this. Bumblestar watched as Wolfpaw, as always, was quick to step in and confront the pair. Redhawk, too, not surprising after the way she'd stepped in at the meeting. With a snort, Bumblestar moved to intercept. "Thank you, both of you, I got it from here."
Sometimes it felt like she was leading a Clan of idiots. "If you're tryin' to incite some sorta rebellion, at least be creative about it. This again, really? Heard it before, find somethin' new to gripe about." She glanced at Sunglow. "Shadowshine made herself a clear threat against me 'n against ThunderClan. That's why she's under the dirt right now 'n not wandering around the outskirts somewhere, or begging for another Clan to let her in. Wolfpaw wants you out, 'n I'm inclined to agree. If you wanna leave, entrance is right there, 'n you know where the border's at. If you decide to leave my Clan, I'll follow you 'n I'll kill you so I can make sure nothing gets out that's not supposed to. This isn't a dictatorship. Wouldn't be givin' you the choice if it were."
Mapledawn was just disappointing. "You. You're swayin' back 'n forth like a new spring leaf in the wind. Make up your mind 'n stick with it - are you going with Sunglow here 'n putting a stop to me, or does your 'heart 'n loyalty' belong to ThunderClan like you've just said?"
