The large tail-spirited tom cat miserably crawled inside the warriors den and flopped himself on his nest. "I can't do this anymore" he miserably yowled face flat on the bramble "I am absolutely and utterly mouse brianed". Spiritail began to ugly cry.

With Talonkit in his grasp, Tinystorm slid into the quiet den. Twisting around during the meeting had exerted his injuries, and he could feel the crack of his scabs - how blood seeped into his dark fur.


He huffed as he claimed his nest, setting Talonkit in the moss before he sank in beside him. "There." His voice was a low grunt, a paw reaching to scoop the kid close.

"Why are you crying?" Nightmist seemed to appear out of nowhere. "Did you get hurt?" She gasped. "Did a cat die?"

"No, Its not that" Spiritail moewed under his breath. The large, chubby tabby turned his head to face Nightmist with tears in his big amber eyes "There is way to much happening in the Riverclan and plus Ive just embarrassed myself in front of everyone by crying. I say that we are not real warriors but are what about me? im not a real warrior but I am just a mouse-brain"

The kit dangled limply as the warrior carried him away from the meeting. He was grateful to have been rescued from the chaos without awkwardly having to retreat to the nursery.

Talonkit let out a little 'mrrp' of surprise when Tinystorm put him in the nest before settling down and pulling him closer. He had never experienced this kind of comfort before.

"...Why?" he asked, unsure of exactly what he was questioning. Why had Tinystorm saved him? Or why was Tinystorm being nice? Maybe even why he had spoken out against Snowleap.

Spiritail looked intently at nightmist "I just wanna get out of here. I wanna escape from all of this, Everyone is just bickering like kits. If this is what the Riverclan is gonna be like, then I may aswell wanna leave here and go"

For a time, he did not speak. It was strange - having the companionship of one so young once again. Mosstalon had been his last apprentice; what he considered his pride and joy, and he had watched that tyke turn from a scrap of fur into something respectable.

All that, wasted.

Tinystorm's wrath had come not from Mosstalon's death itself, but the disrespect and carelessness that followed. It was one thing to be taken off guard by something unexpected, though preventable in hindsight. It was another to know of an issue, and let it fester and rot until it burst.

RiverClan lacked accountability. Plan and simple, too many felt inclined to kiss ass instead of recognized faults and address them. Hell, Tinystorm never claimed to be perfect, and he wasn't gonna get his tail twisted if a cat said he wasn't. Being a warrior and an adult was about handling things, not crying like some kittypet.

His loss ran deeper than any wound. To watch one's kid die was hard enough, but paired with how... Meaningless it was, stung harder. Despite his efforts to be emotionless, his armor was cracking. Pain was becoming evident across his face, muzzle contorting violently in an attempt to reign it in. He was losing the inner conflict as he sank his head down beside the kid.

Maybe it was stemming from the exhaustion and bloodloss. Tinystorm normally didn't feel so emotional, he likened himself to one of the Big Cats of Old. Impenetrable, fierce. Unwavering. Right now, he wasn't feeling it. "What a vague question." A scoff. "I pulled you over to calm your nerves, ain't that what kids like?"

He'd be a liar if he said he didn't want cuddles, too. It'd been one hell of a long week.

"You know what? Nightmist," Spiritail suggested with his Big long fluffy feather-like tail pointing up "I think I might take a break from all this Riverclan drama. The problem with the Riverclan was that most of them only see the narratives of decisions as black and white: Oh your the bad guy or Oh your the good guy. It is pretty one dimensional of you ask me. I think if I might move to somewhere like Thunderclan or Windclan so I can at least take a break from the drama from this clan." Spiritail looked up at the den's ceiling "Maybe I shouldn't leave one clan and then get hated by this whole judgmental cat-society for wanting a change for myself, Maybe I just need someone to help come with these problems with me, I mean Starclan does want peace within the clan, So why don't we just smooth over these problems by coming together side by side and agree to this stuff in peace" Sprirttail's realisation suddenly kicked in "Oh no- Im just being unreasonable again, Maybe I should stop getting in everyone's problems and just leave it to StarClan, I mean look at me" Spiritail then Stood up and looked a Nightmist "I may be big and strong and my tail may be long and proud but these problems are bigger then me and my confidence, I wanna be able to find confidence within myself to finally not be able to just yowl some generic and blind opinion in front of a whole lot of cats like a gull during dusk but I just wanna be able to find some cat that will give me the knowledge to know so I can understand what I am saying" Spiritail then flashes his long feathery tail "To have the same confidence as my very tail"
