"Redhawk had a lotta good things to say about you earlier," Bumblestar tossed over her shoulder to Daylightpaw. She stopped walking once she reached a large oak, branches bare but still looking sturdy, and turned to look coolly at the apprentice. "Wanna see how well that holds up. We're learnin' tree-climbing today."
Without missing a beat, Bumblestar turned and pulled herself up the trunk to the nearest branch, claws digging into the bark with ease. She perched on the branch carefully and peered down at Daylightpaw. "We're ThunderClanners. Climbing's essential to our skillset. If you can't do it, you might as well go see if RiverClan'll take you. We can use it for hunting, training, fighting - could chase a squirrel through the branches or ambush an enemy from above. Concept's fairly simple, 'n you just saw me execute it, so give it a shot. Hook your claws in 'n get up here."

DaylightPaw looked up at BumbleStar as the leader perched in the tree.
She nodded, padding over to the tree and trying to haul herself up. It takes her a few tries but she eventually makes her way up, sitting on a branch slightly lower than the branch the other she was sitting on.
'So.. Guess I.. don't have to go live in RiverClan?'
She panted, flicking an ear.

Bumblestar watched with a careful eye as Daylightpaw managed her way up. Not up to Bumblestar's height, but it was decent for a first attempt. "For now."
"Pull with your front claws and push with your back. If you feel like you're trying to swim sideways up the trunk, you're doing it wrong." She pulled herself up to another branch in three swift motions. "Come up to my level. Do it slow for now, we'll work on speed later. This is just so you know how it's supposed to be done."

DaylightPaw nodded, pulling herself up the tree slowly and reaching a branch on the same level.
Silentpaw snarled in anger as she fell to her side, losing her breath for a moment before quickly pulling herself up. LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE! She snapped, bolting at Bumblestar and lashing at their shoulder tho missing by a hair. I DO AS I PLEASE AND YOU WONT BE STOPPING ME! THOSE FEATHERBRAINED FOOLS WERE TELLING EACHOTHER ABOUT THEIR CAMPS! WAS I WRONG TO TELL THE TRUTH?! Her eyes flared with hatred. She wasn’t going to be contained like some.. wild animal! She tried with all her might to not attack this.. arrogant fox-heart who happens to be the so-called leader. Let me leave. NOW. Without hesitation, Silentpaw darted past Bumblestar, fast as she could go, eyes set on the entrance yet again.
[ staff powerplay permission given - silentpaw has been executed for ignoring direct orders and posing a danger to the Clan ]
Bumblestar didn't even move as Silentpaw lashed out at her. The attack missed, but it had sealed the deal anyway. Clearly this cat couldn't use her brain and Bumblestar wasn't about to just let her book it out the clearing for free.
Before she could rush past, Bumblestar roughly grabbed her by the scruff and dragged her out of the den, hissing, "We're going on a walk."
Through the clearing, and the camp exit, out into the territory. Once they were out of sight and earshot, somewhere in the center of the forest, Bumblestar released Silentpaw. "I don't like doing things like this, but I won't have you wandering about, picking fights that I'm actively trying to defuse, and running your mouth about sensitive information."
She threw a paw out, clubbing Silentpaw over the head and sending her tumbling to the ground, before she pinned the younger cat down. "Nothing personal. Just can't take that risk." Not like she wanted to stick around anyway.
It was quick and easy. Bumblestar sliced her claws through Silentpaw's throat, kept holding her down until whatever movement there was stopped and the she-cat was definitely dead.
The body would be a concern. In the middle of leaf-bare, Bumblestar was sure predators would be scouring for an easy meal, and she wasn't keen on giving them a taste for cat. She scraped out a hole near the base of a tree, dropped the body in, and reburied it.
It made her feel a little sick. But the Clan would be better off without such a risk running around.
She cleaned her claws off and started back to camp.

(DANG- BUMBLESTAR GOT AGGRESSIVE-)
Silentpaw shuddered at the strike, yowling in terror as she saw, out of the corner of her eye, blood. Wow… This.. is the end… She softly chuckled, blood bubbling at her throat. How disgraceful… She lashed her claw one last time at her, making sure Bumblestar’s fur was under her claws before stopping, too weak to move anymore. Starclan will never.. forgive you.. for this… Slowly, the glow from her eyes faded.
(I’m so sad. This is the 2nd apprentice who’s died under my control. *Totally not laughing about it*)
Having decided to not go to the gathering, Redhawk took up a position as the camp guard. Sitting just outside of the clearing she kept her watchful green eyes and reddish-brown ears alert, poised to catch any signs of intruders or late night shenanigans that would need dealing with. A rustling in the undergrowth had her on high alert as she got to her paws, but soon enough she relaxed as she watched Wolfpaw dragging... was that Silentpaw? What was going on there?? The duo went into camp before Red could say anything though, so she just blinked.
Soon enough the cats who had gone to the gathering returned, and the reddish-brown warrior dipped her head to them as they all shuffled past. Once the hustle and bustle had moved on it was rather quiet as Redhawk resumed her seated position. Her eyes were tracking the flight of some winged insect she couldn't quite make out. "H-Hello," she purred quietly, watching as it hovered in front of her face before flying higher into the sky.
Noise from the camp alerted her before the rustling of the camp entrance did and Redhawk turned, eyes widening to see Silentpaw being dragged again - but this time by Bumblestar. Her shocked expression watched as the two disappeared deeper into the forest, and pretty soon she was unable to hear them anymore. Okaaaay, she had definitely missed a chapter or two.
Sitting back down again - slowly, this time, incase Silentpaw were to be dragged back a third time and help was needed, Red just blinked. As much as her ears strained, she couldn't make out any sounds except those of her Clanmates turning in for the night after their journey back from Seastones. Soon enough she would need to head back inside and get some rest before starting her day.
And she was just about to, when more rustling sounded and Redhawk stood, fully prepared to see the apprentice-turned-sweeper - but this time it was just Bumblestar returning. Something struck her gut when she didn't see Silentpaw with her leader, but Redhawk didn't say anything. Instead she just watched Bumblestar with owlish eyes.
[ @dino. - another awkward interaction in the works i love it ]
Things just kept getting worse with this one, and the more Silentpaw acted out-- worse than a tantruming kit-- the less sympathetic Wolfpaw could feel about her. ThunderClan gave their youth everything they could possibly want - shelter, food, an opportunity for growth. All they were asked for was to listen, and Silentpaw completely refused. She wanted to kick and scream, cause a scene, and endanger ThunderClan by seeking out the enemy. The enemy who had poisoned them; who stole their land; who threatened war over mere accusations.
As Bumblestar dragged her out of the den and camp, he followed - but only as far as the camp entrance, where Redhawk sat. He watched his mama disappear into the dark trees in silence. Moments passed. His paws were itching to keep going, to follow, to make sure Bumba was fine--
(realistically, she was, and he knew this. but worry still festered)
And then, there she was. Without Silentpaw, but that just added to the relief - if she kept screaming he might've gotten a headache. Wolfpaw hopped up to his paws and scurried over to affectionately bop his head against her shoulder, a loud purr in his throat. "You're back!"
“Close! Very close–you were right about the poppies, but not catmint, we are here for yarrow.” Drizzlecloud walked alongside Cherrypaw, humming thoughtfully to herself as she peered carefully around the trees, searching almost helplessly for the herbs that they had come out here to seek.
“There, do you see those red flowers? Poppies! Could you go grab some for me?” By the looks of it, there were only two poppies. The other flowers that may have been growing nearby seemed to have been buried beneath snow–quite possibly dead by now. Next, yarrow… Hmm, she hoped that they would be able to find some.
