Re: Sunkissed Creek
The prim she cat bounded a few paces over to a patch of headstones to admire the rebuilt graves and pay her respects.
Creepingpaw, who wasn't the type to dwell sorrowfully in the past, lost his striking green gaze in the tendrils of the willow tree as it's long leaves swayed gracefully and wondered what amazing feats of strength he will accomplish in the future that would get him commemorated for the rest of time. Self-absorbed, no doubt, however his desire to repay his clan after taking him in as an outsider kit was still at play. Suddenly getting the brilliant idea to rip off a long piece of a willow tree and tickle Shockhoney's back paws with it and pretend it was a snake, he grinned and whipped his attention back to Shockhoney only to be caught off guard by her expression. Brow's furrowed and the blue pools in her eyes murky with tension. He had never seen her like that. All he knew about her up until now from hearing others share tongues was that Mountainlion was her father.
Wondering if she had some personal connection to this place, his train of though derailed as Shockhoney suddenly shook her head and began heading towards Lavendersong who beckoned the two of them with her head pointing to the direction of Sunkissed Creek. Taking in the scenery one last time, his black ears twitched as he darted near Shockhoney but quickened his earnest pace and focused his gaze forward as though his dream of being a hornet depended on it.
The fairly sized babbling creek glistened under the sunlight as it's forgiving currents gently carry schools of minnows that pass by.
"The water here is also safe to practice swimming and hunting in.. but I heard predators come here often. Right, Shockhoney?" Lavendersong meowed, her whiskers twitching as she turned her gaze to Shockhoney and smiled tenderly, hoping her friend had a tidbit or story of some sort to share.
Orangeblossom blinked as suddenly found himself being tasked with the patrol of searching for these outsiders, no pressure or anything. But he was more than willing, he would search. Having someone like this wondering about in theterritory was not what his clan needed whatsoever, they just lost their fish headache they do not need a replacement for it anytime soon. He padded after his leader and Almondbay as they all went out into the territory. Eventually, the came upon the place where this very likely happened. The place stunk like outsider scents, overwhelmingly so, not something like just being in the area surely? Or was Orangeblossom just sensitive to the unfamiliar scent or something. Whatever.
Green eyes moved from trying to trace the areas the stronest borderline scent markers were, and to the signs of struggle if any were in the area. For any reason on why Mushroompaw had been out at all in the first place, they were an apprentice... why would an outsider be in their territory? Was it chance, or was it targeted? And if it was targeted... which if the strong as hell, almost taunting smells suggested it was, then this would be turning into a much bigger situation. They needed to squash this sooner rather than later. Mushroompaw's mentor, Sparrowpelt, had seemed fully unaware that his apprentice was out... but maybe Orangeblossom could talk with him about anything Mushroompaw had said previously they may signal a motive now, for being out and about... this whole thing was messy, but that might be because he was overthinking. Apprentices snuck out, it wasn't unheard of, but the question was, was Mushroompaw the type to do that? Or was it something else that brought them out here?
"Why was Mushroompaw out here... and why were the outsiders in our territory? The scents are so... strong, it feels purposeful..."

Almondbay padded into the sunkissed creek territory, followed by her leader and orangeblossom. Immediately she caught a smell of something, it smelt like rogues. "Um..guys is it just me or do y'all smell rogue to." she said in a low toned voice, not wanting to let a rogue hear if they were nearby. She padded closer to the spot that smelt the most like rogue. "This must be where mushroompaw was killed, the rogue scent is strong right in this area."she said as she kept sniffing some more. Thunderclan sure didn't need a murderer snooping around their territory. She looked over at the woods as she padded over to them. She didn't see anything, that was unfortunate. She looked closer in the woods, she knew if something had been moved in the woods because she used to always come here to relax, now it was a murdering place, what a damn dissapointment, to think she took her kit over here only a few weeks ago, she felt anxiety flow through her and she thought about how a murderer could have attacked them instead, she shook her head, it was nothing to worry about as it did not happen to to them when they were down there. "You wanna go deep into the woods? Looks like some leaves were ruffled up." she said, looking back at bumblestar and orangeblossom.
The scene that greeted them was stained with blood and a mix of scents, Clan and outsider alike. Bumblestar's nose scrunched as she looked it over. "Cats rarely kill without meaning to," she muttered over her shoulder to Orangeblossom. "This was intentional." Beneath the copper tang of the blood, she could barely manage to separate the scents - only Mushroompaw's stood out, while Treetiger's was secondary, and whichever belonged to the two outsiders she had spoken of had become too mingled to pick apart.
"Spread out," she ordered. "You two, follow that trail Almondbay picked up 'n see if it takes you anywhere. I wanna look around 'n check if there's any other tracks."

TW: Bloox, Gore, death
Two things caught his attention as soon as Sproutfleck and Risingstorm set off. One, the creek was unusually silent. No tweets tweets birds, no running rustling of squirrels, only the sound of the creek running. Two, it smelled of blood. The scent made the toms heart race and his words get hooked on his throat. A primitive instinctual feeling washed over The Bronze Knight. Fear. A feeling not even the bravest could deter. The scent of russet predators hung thick in the air, and the Beefed Up tomcat felt his claws unsheathe. "What the hell.." He said quietly to himself, and then he spotted it. A miserable sight that made bile rise up in the patterned felines throat. A russet predator was caught in a trap. One forepaw, looking just simply horrible, disgusting and probably infected was stabbedwith the sharp metal shards that had been unearthed.
The scariest part was that it was most certainly still alive and suffering in there. Despite the animal being a fox, he couldn't shake the fact that nothing deserved to suffer like that. Faint breaths were evident and tiny, weak whimpers came from its maw. Sproutfleck didn't miss a beat. He just crept closer, eyes wide and alarmed. They occasionally flicked to the earth, nervous that there may be another trap. He couldn't help that. Or that there may be more foxes. "Rising.. I'm going to kill it. It's going to attract more predators." He said, voice lowered to a growl. Giving only a moment for him to respond, Sproutfleck leaped for the fox, and it barely had time to react not that it was healthy enough to do anything. Grasping the foul russet animals throat, he tore it out onto the earth, blood spilling on his white paws and staining his muzzle. With the creature dead, he looked around for his patrolmate, feeling sick to his stomach and walking toward the creek to wash off a bit. "There's one fox." He said, voice still hard and tense from the kill.

Where the hell was the body?! She left it somewhere around here before that other cat came. Why in the world would they take it? Silk snapped her head up towards the sound of other cats. Oh. She messed up. Nonononono- She was just trying to find Fawn!! She just wanted her sister back. Wait...what if she framed it on the other cat? That wouldn't work, she still smelled slightly like blood. Silk crouched down, trying to make herself smaller to hide herself.

The warrior walked alongside sproutfleek risingstorm noticed the silence and the copper smell of blood and rot he looked around noticing the fox caught in a trap with a nasty wound on its leg his fur bristled "we should take causation" he meowed before looking at sprout who said he was going to kill the fox "Sprout wolf-" he didn't finish his sentence before sprout jumped and killed the fox "you good?" he asked walking up to the other warrior carefully watching his step "the smell of blood and rot on the paw might attract the other foxes if there is any" he meowed looking at the dead fox "Lets look for the den now then we can report back" he said

Snakepelt got them both back down to the ground safely. They gulped, feeling awful for there previous misjudgement. They made an effort to thoroughly explain it this time. If they were at fault for anything more, they might crumble.
"First, you'll want to unsheathe your claws. Your claws will be used to grip onto the trees bark, your upper-body strength will be used to pull yourself up. Your back legs will help you push up, and your tail for balance. Second, make sure you know where the lowest branch is. That is your end point, and I myself have missed it when not paying attention. If you have any questions, please ask!"
Snake did their part to ensure the steps were down. Digging your claws into the bark and stringing along until you got yourself to the lowest branch was a... task at the least. They figured if any questions were to be asked, they'd have the answer.
Morningpaw listened carefully as he received more instructions on how to do this. He looked at his paws before finding a branch that was slightly shorter than the rest on the tree. He stood up, leaning against the tree and dug his claws into the bark before giving a small jump of his back paws to hook them into the bark this time. Then he quickly scrambled to unhook his front paw and lift it up and then the next and then repeat until he managed to skedaddle over to a higher up branch. He settled down on it and used his tail to carefully balance. "There!" He was looking down at the warrior on the forest floor with a grin. Climbing was fun when you weren't getting stuck.
Snakepelt smiled, congratulating the apprentice on their success. Maybe they weren't awful at explaining things? Nonetheless they were proud of Morningpaw for climbing up to the branch. It definitely wasn't an easy thing to do. Climbing required strength, lots of it, and coordination.
"Great! That about wraps up this lesson, I'll take you back to camp."
With a flick of their tail, their paws slowly glided across the forest floor. The sunlit greens of the forest guided them back to ThunderClan camp. Along the walk, they took time to admire the trees, the yellows the greens. It reminded them a lot of their mother. Though Weepingwillow had not a speckle of green on her, her calming deep blue eyes reminded Snake of sunkissed creek. The sparkling creek water at night, lit up only by the moon. The silver surrounded by a dark ring on black. They should visit her more often. With a sigh, they walked further and further, watching as the apprentice trailed behind them. Between duties and teaching, there was just no time. It deeply saddened Snakepelt. They would try their hardest to visit her whenever they could.
Entering back into the camp, they said their farewell to Morningpaw, hoping great things for their future.

She-Cat <‐> 35 Moons <-> Warrior <-> Thunderclan Interacting with: Mountaintalon
A grey-brown, long haired she-cat with tabby stripes and big yellow eyes. She is of average stature, if not only slightly on the larger side.
The she-cat held back a groan. He was probably going to have her take his place on a patrol... "Well. I appreciate it, at least." She paid no real heed to the tail on her back, simply assuming he wanted to keep her near for safety's sake.
At the mention of her strength, however... She side-eyed him, whiskers twitching in satisfaction- and betraying her otherwise calm tone of voice when she spoke once more. "I agree. But I was overzealous. A habit I'm trying to break, because clearly it gets me in trouble." It felt good to be seen and she loved getting praise, but she was still so hard on herself.
"You're welcome." Mountaintalon flicked an ear. "I don't mind saving those worth the effort."
He moved to start heading back to camp, hoping she would follow without needing to be coerced. "May I suggest a tad of self-regulation?" he drawled. "You won't get far if you get yourself killed... but I admire your tenacity and ambition nonetheless. It's something I wish I saw in more of my Clanmates."

[ Hawk Hunting]
Well. If that bird's pickin up kits, that meant it was hungry. Wouldn't want to travel as far as the RiverClan border, but would want a spot to pick up a quick bite to eat. So that meant the creek. Lots of stupid dumb small fish to quickly snatch up.
After some sniffing around, he'd finally managed to spot it. Just opposite of the creek. Timing his pounce right, and just barely dipping into being downwind of it, the tom managed to hop onto it's back.
It was a decent struggle for a moment. But the hawk definitely looked bigger from far away. Was it still a predator bird? For sure. Could it pick him up? Absolutely not. After a moment or five, he'd finally managed to snap it's neck.
He himself had a few cuts and scrapes...one's that he hadn't noticed. Hopefully it'll get pointed out at some point, or else they could get pretty nasty. But with his task done, Spiderthroat dragged the hawk back to camp for the kits to rip into. Show it who's boss, or somethin like that.

But these fingers and these palms
Full of love despite the scars
They show indisputably I have so much more to grow
Oh, I can change, I can evolve
I can get up when I fall
I'll live contentedly, I don't need a reason why
Standing tall and standing strong
I have found where I belong
In the arms of somebody, there is no more need to cry
