Tinypaw padded out of the apprentices den, bored out of his mind. Where was that mentor of his? They hadn't even started training yet. Hell he didn't even know how to hunt yet. He was going to be far behind on his training. This wasn't the first cat he had been disappointed in and it most likely wouldn't be the last. Tinypaw laid down, placing his head down on his paws, letting out a bored sigh.

What a freakazoid of a kit. Lionstar liked it.

He felt no pity for the flailing rogue in front of him, freshly blinded and as pathetic as she was moments ago. "Get out of my territory," he spat, sending a harsh kick toward her. "You can wallow elsewhere." If she stayed, she'd have a lot more to worry about than her eyes. He wasn't against mutilating her as payback for what she did to Goosie, nor was he against disabling her to the point where outsider life would be a death sentence.

To Goosefury, he flicked his tail toward the kit. "You should get her to the nursery, maybe Flyfur would be willing to nurse her. She had kits fairly recently."

Brindlekit nibbled at the corners of her jaw as the mottled warrior wrestled herself to her paws, a shower of dark blood pattering the mulch as she dashed clumsily off. Well, there was that, she supposed decidedly. That... That had been quite the sight. Eh - whatever: it was none of the leggy tortie's concerns.

Spinning around with a yawn, Brindlekit floundered drowsily on over toward her father, head flopping back as she collapsed back into the warmth of his hide - today had been a long day, a long but rather interesting day.

"Papa," she murmured, another lengthy yawn expanding open her teeny jaws. "Is tired, papa, is tired."

Okay, yeah. This was getting ridiculous, but it confirmed Sparrowsnap wasn't the least bit apologetic if she was ready to continuously lash out. Glad to see she hadn't changed at all. It was the unexpectedly instant gratification for her rejection, and he raised an amused eyebrow at Lionstar like are you seeing this? because her betrayal of the sob story act upon realizing it wasn't going to weasel her into a new clan was kind of great.

Now that the spectacle was over, Fawnsqueak cleared his throat. He actually had something worthwhile to report that'd been pushed to the backburner thanks to this living scum.

"Dogflame came in pretty tattered up, said it was a rogue on the territory and implied male," he said, debating as he chewed the inside of his cheek. "The scent on him seemed.. stale? So I don't know if the rogue is still going to be around, but yeah. Foxblaze found him first and must've convinced him to come get healing."

He watched with little emotion as howled his name and then fled the camp. Then, with a snort of finality, he bent down to pick the kit up by the scruff. The more he thought about it, the more he realized that he didn't care if she thought of him as her dad or not. Maybe it was better that she did.

"I know, come on. I'll take you to Flyfur. She can take care of you and you can sleep."

Splashfury looked around for Stonepaw. She was supposed to take them out to training so she didn’t plan to forget about it. She spotted them and gave a wave to them. “Hi Stonepaw! Do you want to do hunting or battle training?” Splashfury asked to see which training they wanted to do. She didn’t mind either one.

Sootflare seemed otherwise occupied, so Lionstar stepped in.

"Thank you for the report, Splashpaw. I'll speak to Snowstripe about her behavior when I have a chance. You're good to go - get some rest."

Ahh, Lionstar always liked the sight of fresh prey being added to the pile.

Lionstar wouldn't have noticed if Sassyfire was late or not, sure it was later in the day but that could just be because they waited on their patrol mates to show up. "Sassfire," he chirped at them. "It's good the border was clear.."

But immediately, he was concerned by the apprentice being out without an escort-- and even more when he heard they refused to come back. "Do you remember which apprentice of ours was out?" He wanted to talk with them, pronto. "It's a shame the others failed to show up.." He couldn't recall the last time he saw Greenfur, and Petuniapaw.. "If I see them, I'll talk to them about their behavior." He hoped that one was fine, too. He liked the bubbly apprentice and this was odd for her.

Well, that was good to hear. "That's nice," Lionstar said to Cottonstrike. "I'm glad Echopaw's working out for you. If that's all, you can go."

Dayheart was always a lot to take in, but he was glad the expansion was completed. "Yes, yes, I'm proud of you both! Thanks for your hard work, the apprentices will appreciate it too. Get some rest, buddy."

[ The battle started after the gathering, the patrol was sent out before that. Since they wouldn't have happened at the same time, I won't be having Lion react to the fighting part of the report. The cats involved in this patrol should not know about the battle yet. @esa, @~Radiantshine~, @StealthWarrior (for reference) ]

Everything was quiet, and Lionstar liked it that way. "Alright, that's good. The last thing we need is WindClan causing trouble." Not that they would. "If that's all Reedwhisker, you're dismissed."

Rainpuddle, of course he'd be useless. That cat always had a habit of annoying Lionstar.

"Thank you, Nightfeather. I'm glad you were there.. the den would probably be stuck in repair hell without you!" He faintly chuckled. "At least Whitepaw listened, I can't say I'm surprised that Rainpuddle wasn't helpful. Take a break - you've earned it."

Strange names, but nothing he wouldn't allow.

"As long as you both are in agreement, I see no reason to separate you further. You both will need to be trained by one of my warriors on how to fish and swim, but anything else I believe you two can handle.

"Woollyflame [ @elysian], Rainsplash [ @Splashy], would you two be willing to take these ladies out for some quick lessons? They're our newest Clan-mates, and they need to be trained on how to fish and swim." Adaption was important, and he wanted to avoid any Sparkheart incidents.

Lionstar bristled at this news, hackles raised with a short hiss. "Why the hell didn't he say anything?" He was pissed at Dogflame, concerned for his injuries, and there was an aggressive rogue on the loose that would be hard to track now if it was stale! "Is he still in the den? I want to speak with that idiot!"

Woollyflame, upon hearing his name called, quickly made his way over to Lionstar and... two ThunderClanners. Hmmph, maybe they’d seen sense and joined a Clan that didn’t have leadership issues. The Somali would nod. "I’d be happy to," he grinned. He was an excellent hunter, and his last patrol had proven that. As for swimming? Easy.

Okay... so they were playing? Eelkit could do that! With that the kit nodded his, faking enthusiasm. He wasn't easy to get hyped up, but maybe this would be a circumstance of fake till you make it? If he faked enough... maybe it would eventually be true? He hoped so! So when Halfkit reached for his tail the kit decided to take matters into his own paw and the lack tom hopped forward with his head, hoping to use it to push against Halfkit's head, but before he was able to he went toppling over her paws as she'd moved to lie on her back. "Weeeeh," he couldn't help but squeal as he continued his roll. Standing up he flickered his tail. "COme catch me!" With that the tom took off aiming for the big dark den. Maybe Halfkit wouldn't be able to find him in there?

Halfkit squeaked happily and gave chase as Eelkit dashed away. She immediately wished she had longer legs because Eelkit, being older, had an advantage and was outrunning her.
Once she saw he was heading to one of the dens her mama said she wasn't allowed in, she skidded to a stop, her baby paw pads and toe beans scraping a bit.
She cried a bit at the pain and lifted a little paw upward to inspect it.
It was barely even bleeding!
