◤• WOOLYFEATHER •◥
She/Her - A lilac pointed Siamese with sky blue eyes
Woolyfeather had arrived back from her patrol. "I finished my patrol!" she called out to Vixensnarl. With a small polite dip of her head she walked away. She wouldnt have to do a punishment today thankfully, and she hoped to never have to do one.
A little late the apprentice ran into camp going ahead of Slatefur. He wanted to make sure to report and he didn't care if it was late. He at least tried unlike the actual patrolmates. "Vixensnarl sorry I'm late. My patrolmates didn't show up and after Slatefur was done with their patrol I asked if he could take me out. Theres nothing out of the ordinary at the Windclan border. We made sure to mark it.", he meowed. Ratpaw kind of prepared himself to get into trouble. He didn't go out by himself, but he was still supposed to be on patrol.
[Report by filling out the form in the Herb Storage. Patrol leaders who fail to report and warriors who do not show up will face punishment. If you can give me an OOC reason for your cat not showing up on their patrol within 2 days you will be excused from the patrol. Inform me before the due date and request extra time on your patrol if it takes longer than you expected.
No more than 5 herbs per cat.
If you have any questions, VM me.]

The last patrols had been light based on his relative lack of necessity but it had become a minor problem with one of the two patrols not delivering their herbs. If he was getting no herbs from a whole patrol he'd have to consider widening his punishments. He'd previously tried to back away from punishing all members of a patrol and put the sole punishment on the shoulders of the leader but he could not afford to be allowing such laziness to continue. Regardless, that was a thought for another time. He preferred to give the warriors and apprentices of Shadowclan some sense of benefit of the doubt and would simply plan, for the time being, for all patrols to report in a timely manner with the requested herbs.
[ @Silverdream @snekeyes4 ] "Needleheart! Take Silverwing to Shadow's Break. I'd like you to bring back daisies and dock leaves. Daisies you should recognize as small round white flowers and dock is a leafy plant that grows in bunches. The leaves a broad and fairly common."
[ @~SilverShine~ @IvySpirit ] "Meadowleap, you and Heatherrain can go look in the territory for oak trees and collect as however many oak leaves you can carry." He still wasn't completely sure what the leaves could do but there'd been some usefulness found in the overly abundant potential herb so Elmshadow intended to continue experimenting with it.

Admittedly, one of the first names that had jumped into his mind was that of his daughter, his only remaining daughter aside from Sorrelpaw. Ashpaw had always been the daughter he'd had the most trouble with. Sunsetthorn had been determined and loyal but recently he's recognized so much of Ashpaw's broodiness and bitterness in his previously bright kit. "Sunsetthorn, take Adderstrike with you to the Icy Heartlands. I need borage and marigold. Borage is a fuzzy looking plant with blue flowers though the flowers may not be blooming right now and marigold should be easily recognized as bright fluffy round flowers."
finished gathering herbs.
not sure about @Silverdream

~ Raccoonpelt padded into the camp and looked around for the one who originally sent out the patrols. The raccoon like cat caught sight of her and went over. Raccoonpelt gave Vixensnarl a small nod before going on to report the Patrol.
"The border has been marked, Riverclan is staying on their side. Batpaw and Slatefur both showed. Slatefur did mark the borders but I think she disappeared right after."
Raccoonpelt said, The gray warrior added that Slatefur had done her part before disappearing, he didn't want Slatefur to get in deep trouble.~
HeatherRain padded over to vixensnarl, head down. “Sorry if I am late, thorn paw and I went and caught stuff. Near the end of the Patrol though, they sort of slacked off… my apologies.” HeatherRain dipped her head once more.

The rainy season had approached, leafbare was looming over them. Many herbs would be more difficult to come by and many others that would have had a longer shelf life due to leaffall's dryer climate would now be soggy and prone to molding. Nonetheless, the clan needed the herbs as much as ever, really more than ever. The colder weather brought less herbs but also more illness, a humorless joke surely. The dark medicine cat stepped out into the soggy air and sat down beneath the shadowledge, scanning the clearing for available bodies.
[ @NinjaBloss @Wings ] "Slytiger, take your apprentice to Shadow's Break for some moss and mallow leaves. The mallow is a low growing plant with large round leaves." Despite his origins outside of Shadowclan, the tom had been an active presence in Shadowclan and upheld his duties as well as, if not often times better than, many of their clan-born clanmates so he felt confident placing the tom at the head of a patrol.
[ @TheNyanCatMinecart @CreeperLover649 ] "Ivysnake, could you find Poisonpaw and go out in the territory to find catmint? There has to be some and I'd rather not get caught unprepared again with leafbare on us."
[ @Ravensong ] "Cougarivy, you're with me. Let's go." There was plenty Elmshadow knew he needed to talk to the she-cat about and bringing her on a patrol was setting himself up to have to get to it but he wasn't sure there were words o express whatever it was that he needed to express. He'd take it a day at a time, first the main priority: the clan needed herbs and he needed knowledge.

Slytiger pricked his ears as he heard his name called and trotted towards Elmshadow. Oh, an herb patrol! He'd been on a hunting patrol but not an herb patrol. Plus, he got to lead this one and take his apprentice. "Tallpaw, you ready to get some herbs?"
Ivysnake had just finished sifting herbs, leaving her short, dense pelt covered in strong-smelling green flecks. Dust tickled her nose, and she sneezed; then she rubbed at it irritably with a dark brown paw. Elmshadow should be sending out herb patrols soon. Leaf-bare was coming, and with it came cold weather, less prey, increased illness, and fewer herbs. Not like I know that many, she thought, feeling a prickle of resentment. Ebonyfang had vanished and had hardly taught her or Elmshadow anything. Weak deserter. We don't need you. Her claws dug into the cold dirt floor of the den. I wish we could meet again. I'd kill you on sight, just as Dawnstar ordered. But in truth, the Clan did need him. He had been a medicine cat in the past, which meant he had all the necessary herb knowledge for the future generation. Now Ivysnake and her mentor had to rely on the other Clans and experimentation for information.
She sat and began to give her distinctively striped pelt a thorough grooming. She usually kept her fur nice and sleek, though the scent of herbs now clung to it like a burr. Elmshadow's call rang out across the clearing, muffled from her position inside the den; Ivysnake's dark brown ears pricked. And... oh, her name was called. She gave her ruffled pelt a few more quick licks and hurried out. A wall of cold air hit her, making her dark fur fluff out, but she didn't let it bother her and sought out the cat she was traveling with. Poisonpaw. She knew that apprentice, but not well. It took only a moment for her to catch sight of them. The medicine cat apprentice padded over with long, confident strides.
"Yes, let's go," she meowed curtly. Without waiting for an answer, Ivysnake headed toward the camp entrance, quickly checking to make sure Poisonpaw was following. "We'll have to search hard for that catmint. The best place for it was Pinewatch Patch, but the Twolegs practically destroyed it." Her voice was unhappy. The thought of the Twolegs made her pelt prick and brought on emotions of anger and frustration. The stupid creatures had to destroy everything. They had only made things harder for ShadowClan. But we will survive, as we always have. Nothing will bring ShadowClan down!

Posionpaw turned its head toward the medicine cat apprentice. "Lead the way, Ivysnake. I won't speak." They said. Their fur stood up a little at the mention of Twolegs. "Let's go."
