Dried blood remained crusted to still aching injuries, but Bumblestar ignored the hurt as she trotted over to the apprentices' den and stuck her head inside. There were cats worse off at the moment, she could wait to get herself seen to. Or maybe see to herself, keep a bit of weight off Drizzlecloud's shoulders.
"Yo, Asterpaw." She moved over to the tom's nest to nudge him. "Get up, I'm giving you a show of the land today."

the sound of birds awoke flickerpaw, his maw split into a yawn and his eyes squeezed shut, not yet adjusted to morning light. flickerpaw pushed himself up and crouched with his front legs to stretch them out, then sitting his haunches down to groom his fur flat. Groggily the apprentice would glance around the den, suddenly wondering what he’d be doing today, hopefully someone will take him hunting! Or.. anything really. Boredom struck him like a claw. Unsheathed.
