"I promised Gingerstar a visit at the Gathering," Bumblestar grunted as the pair turned up, only half-glancing at Hivesnarl. "I want answers 'n he's giving 'em to me whether he likes it or not. Strap in, we got a bit of a walk ahead of us. Let's go."
RiverClan's territory was just as long of a trek as before, but at least this time she knew the straight way forward, so they could shed a little bit of time. Hopefully her companions weren't too exhausted by the time they arrived.
Seems they showed up at a bad time, though. As Bumblestar stepped into the camp with her patrol in tow, her eyes flickered toward the meeting stone, and a frown tugged at her lips. How disgustingly inconvenient.
"Condolences for your loss," she called out flatly as she stopped near the edge of the crowd. "Always a shame when a leader's gone too soon. I'd come 'round here hoping to ask him a question, but maybe you'll know the same he did."
Brightnight looked at Bumblestar and respectfully dipped her head. "How can Riverclan help you" she mewed, lifting her tail to silence a snarl from Hawksun

*-Larkwing-*
She/her | 17 moons | Mind Reader - ACTIVE A sleek dilute tortie she-cat with green eyes
The mixed voices around the clan was nothing more than a cacophony of sound. It rattled around in Larkwing’s head, threatening to make her nauseous. The thyme from little Tansypaw was welcome, though, and she smiled a little tensely but nonetheless gratefully to the young medic, quickly lapping up the herb and returning her attention to her clan. An agonized cry reached her ears, screaming worse than she’d ever thought possible… birdpaw. It was only now that Larkwing realized perhaps she should have also gone to the young molly when she had gone to Mumblepaw. Allowed both of them time to grieve privately. But she could not change what had already been done.
There was so much noise… but she took a deep breath and tried to collect herself. ’Don’t show weakness, don’t show fear, steal yourself - you are as much a symbol for how the clan should react as any cat has ever been,’ she tells herself as green eyes glance around the cats gathered. Some are openly challenging her - she figured that would happen, though, so as disheartening as it is to see, the tortoiseshell isn’t actually all that surprised… they’re just echoing her own worries. One - Antlerblizzard she thinks? Antler something in any case, so she’d just call them Antler in her head for now, openly and furiously, screamed that she had murdered Gingerstar. Others, though, have shared that they are on her side. That, at the very least is encouraging. She noticed, specifically, a certain young apprentice immediately jump to defend her from the calls of murder. ”Springpaw,” she addressed, ”thank you, really, but that’s not necessary,” cats would feel about this however their head and their hearts inclined, she couldn’t fault them for their first thoughts, but it was nice to know so many were ready to defend her.
”As I just said,” she begins when questions start coming about how this death could have happened, mildly annoyed that they didn’t listen the first time around. Sure, her presence isn’t the largest or most commanding, but surely it’s enough that they’d listen to her. ”Falconfeather nor I found any trace of external injuries, nor any signs of poisoning such as foaming at the mouth or drool like one of you mentioned. You can hear from him yourself if you really must, but I’m telling the truth.”
She’s about to say something else, something along the lines of how she wanted to do her best to lead them, but how she’d want their permission to do so, and in the event they granted it, she’d need someone to go to the Seastones with as (shameful as it probably may be to admit such a thing) she’d never been before. She was about to say all that, when Bumblestar of all cats waltzed into camp like she owned the place. Ignoring how the squirrel’s leader somehow managed to even find their new camp, Larkwing wasn’t exactly fond of the leader, the loss of Cattail Pond and subsequent death of Beansprout still a fresh memory, moons old as it may already be.
”Bumblestar,” the molly says, unable to keep the hiss from her voice or stop the way her tail lashed once behind her. Just when she thought she had no one to direct her anger over Gingerstar’s death at, a target unwittingly showed her scared face. Jumping down from the Floodstone, Larkwing began towards the ThunderClan leader, making absolutely no effort to hide her distain. One kit even was boasting and threatening, though she was not very intimidating. Larkwing almost wanted to smile at him, but she held her expression in displeasure.
”Stand down, all of you,” she ordered her clan, with a very pointed glance at Ripplekit as she reached a paw over and tried to move her back a few paces. None of them were to attack unless provoked. The ThunderClan patrol was heavily outnumbered here in RiverClan’s camp, but Larkwing didn’t much fancy meeting the claws of Bumblestar in battle. ”To what do we owe the pleasure, Bumblestar?” Larkwing asked, the pleasantry feeling like sand in her mouth. She really wanted these cats gone as soon as possible, so whatever this was about, it had better be good.
Cats... so many cats anger and they werent letting him get close to his Dada! Otterkit cowered, stopping in place as Lilyleaf, Cloudheart and Dunepaw drew close. These were new cats and the tiny kit didnt know them! They were big and scary and he just wanted to get close to his Dada so Dada could protect him and cuddle him and make things ok!
The kitten shivered in place, surrounded by these cats and his already watery eyes welled with real tears and the scrap sobbed, throat welling up as he shivered. Otterkit didnt care they were offering help or play or anything they were scary and not his dads! Wide blue eyes screwed shut and the kitten buried his sobbing face in his paws in a futile attempt to 'protect himself' and he whimpered under his breath. "Dada! Papa! Im scared! Help! Wake up! They wont let me near! I wanna cuddle! I wanna hide! Please wake up!"
Not that anyone could hear this, with how swollen his throat was with terror it was inaudible through his sobbing and distressed mewling.
It was impossible to tell who's kit he was, he didnt even smell like riverclan yet being only in the clan for three days and he'd met but one cat in this time, spending the rest hiding due to fear. All that was clear was the crowding was not helping nor was the anger and fear in the air with the thunderclan leaders arrival.
It'd be a reasonable thing to take him to the nursery, even if it wasnt the right thing. If only he could talk properly and loudly enough to be heard.
Rabbitkit and Blossomkit listened. They wonderd why Bumblestar was in their camp. She needed to go back to HER camp and leave theirs!
Wishkit listened. Hopefully Bumbletstar would be gone soon because she didn't belong in RiverClan's camp.
Toadkit listened. She wondered why Bumblestar was in their camp. Bumblestar's in ThunderClan! RiverClan is the best clan! All of the other clans are stupid!
Deerkit listened. She wondered what question Bumblestar wanted to ask Gingerstar before finding out that he was dead that was so important that she would barge into their camp to ask it and then ask it to Larkwing instead of Gingerstar when she found out that Gingerstar had just died.
Beekit was sniffing next to the nice soft small-cat bundle of fur when she smelled a strange cat-smell. It smelled extra strange, stranger then all of the other strange cat-smells. She ignored the extra weird scent and kept memorizing all of the cat-scents, including the extra weird one.

Leafkit peeked into the clearing staring at the meeting, that's when she heard Larkwing say the words she clearly understood "Gingerstar is dead." WHAT!? she wimpered, no no no, this can't be true.. can it?

Yea...from where Sunsetpaw sat, which is quite near to the front of the crowd, there seems to be no signs of any injuries on Gingerstar's body...so...how did he die..? Something must've happened that made him die randomly like that...if only he had even a single extra life then maybe he would've still been here. Well, what has happened had happened and there's no way to revert time. His heart killed him. That could mean either two things; either he got a sickness of some sorts or...he had a heart attack. The latter made more sense. His Heart killed him, it had to be a heart attack, right? It made more and more sense as they thought about it. A highrank is usually a position that includes stress and tins of work. Perhaps that stress got him...and killed him. Would that had happen to Stonepaw if the former medicine cat didn't resign...? They never heard of a leader dying because of a heart attack...but..the things that had happened to riverclan..and the fact that he appointed Beansprout as leader instead of taking the role himself...he maybe..wasn't able to handle the leader position; maybe he really wasn't ready yet..but he probably had no other choice but to take the role after what happened with Beansprout and then he died because of it....? What was Gingerstar's first reaction when he first got appointed as deputy of the past leader..Pikestar, right? Was he shocked or worried or such..?
This meeting is starting to get confusing now. While Sunsetpaw was off with her thoughts, suddenly the leader of thunderclan strolled into camp just like that. Wha-w-what...? What was she doing here..? Oh...right....wait but Gingerstar's already dead so she can't talk to him! On top of that, how did Bumblestar just...found their camp like that...? Riverclan hasn't been here for too long so how did she do that...? Did someone lead her here...? If so, that's...Sunsetpaw didn't know what to think of that. First, Gingerstar died and now Bumblestar popped into their camp like what?? Their eyes focused on the thunder-leader, confusion rising even more in them. "U-uhm.." they quietly said. What do they do now..? Just sit like that..? They feel like they should be doing something but what?? Goodness this is starting to get more and more confusing. Larkwing is handling it herself so maybe it was better for them to just shut their mouth and not say anything for now...
They just want Bumblestar and her patrol to go back to her own camp. The thunder patrol isn't supposed to be here anyway...it was rude that they just walked in their camp when the patrol could've waited at the border. Or maybe they did but Gingerstar didn't come because...yea. They didn't like how Bumblestar said her part either. They silently closed their eyes. When things are starting to go well, it all fell down into whatever this mess was.
They reopened their eyes, gaze moving towards the sky. The clouds that casted over parts of the blue sky. They wondered a few things as they ignored whatever was currently happening as they view the clouds above. They wanted to keep paying attention but it was hard to do so right now. They also wondered what Bumblestar could possibly wanted ask Gingerstar. What was so important that made her want to tresspass not only into the territory but also into the camp. They didn't really like Bumblestar that much. This didn't help at all. Someone must've led her here..how else could she know where the camp was..? Was riverclan camp now at risk of getting attacked in the future now that Bumblestar knew where it was..? Any potential invasion she can easily lead straight to camp because she knows where it is, making the camp not as save as it would've normally been. Would she do that..? If she ever actually invade the camp, then the clan might have a little problem...no, not little problem. Horribly big. The camp has kits and apprentices and injured cats and cats who wouldn't really be able to fight that well.
Sunsetpaw shook their head, attention going back to what was happening. Their gaze went from one cat to another cat; unsure of who to pay attention to really. Their main focus was Larkwing and Bumblestar but Bumblestar hasn't answered Larkwing yet. What could possibly be this important question that made Bumblestar go all the way to camp? How did she find the camp to begin with..? It didn't make sense. Their gaze soon drifted over to Gingerstar's lifeless body. Maybe...just maybe if they knew then they could've helped a little...or...maybe no...maybe they wouldn't have had much impact, if any. Maybe they wouldn't really have much impact of most things like this in the end. Maybe they couldn't have helped with anything. In fact, what it they accidentally made situations worse..?
Berrypaw smiled and wiped away her tears with a sniffle. She was grateful for the cats' comforting words.
OMG- Berrypaw used to be a kittypet! What if Charredkit and her knew eachotherrrrrrrrrrrr
(Yeah, sure! Considering that Charredkit used to be called Matthew and his twolegnest was burnt down, it'd make for extra lore!) Charredkit knew that helping others was a good thing to do and so he decided to be a helper around camp when he wasn't learning or playing with the other kits.
Sootpelt seemed to have left the camp again, and appeared to be talking to three outsiders that had been trying to sneak in due to a fear of being caught by William. Turned out to be three kits, with the names of 'Chocolate', 'vanilla' and 'Strawberry'. Probably cos they were in a Neapolitan ice cream tub when Sootpelt found them. Silly kits, they hadn't thought about their hiding space well enough.
"I promised Gingerstar a visit at the Gathering," Bumblestar grunted as the pair turned up, only half-glancing at Hivesnarl. "I want answers 'n he's giving 'em to me whether he likes it or not. Strap in, we got a bit of a walk ahead of us. Let's go."

Bumblestar. Strange time for her to appear, just after the announcement of Gingerstar's death. "IT'S NOT LARKWING," he yelled over the chaos, "IT WAS BUMBLESTAR!" The sudden accusation of the ThunderClan leader was the random appearance of her. She managed to find the camp, out of nowhere. This was an obvious answer in his opinion as if she knew where camp was, she could have killed Gingerstar and have aaalll the blame piled on Larkwing, then have Larkwing removed from her position. No leader, all chaos. Chaos makes it easier to beat Clans. That couldn't happen, so he'd stop the leader in her tracks. The, uh.... non-existent tracks.
