wolfwhisper nodded eagerly, gesturing for rookpaw to come with to sit down. they didn't want to upset dawnstar too much by talking while a meeting was going on !!

"that sounds like a good ideaaa! we can check the territory out after the meeting is over and if allll goes well, we can runover hunting a lilll bit!" the tom meowed, offering a reassuring smile to the apprentice.

Rookpaw joined her new mentor, sitting to observe the meeting. He seemed very friendly. She didn't trust him though, as she didn't trust anyone. But maybe he would earn her trust at some point. She smiled back at her mentor, revealing her sharp, almost canine and slightly crooked teeth. The smile seemed a little odd, as Rookpaw did not really know how to smile at people.

Finally, a new mentor. As reserved as Maplepaw was, she was finally happy to get out of camp! Her eyes scanned the crowd for her new mentor.

Nightfur heard his name and his fur began to raise. He had been hearing the Warriors getting Apprentices and he leaned forward to see if he was also getting an Apprentice. Maplepaw.He heard his new Apprentice's name and his eyes gleamed. Finally, he could be a Mentor! He hadn't had an Apprentice in so long, and now he was getting one. He turned around and looked at @-Skyfall- Larkwing. "I'll go look for my Apprentice. Don't go to the dog hunting patrol without me." He teased, then went through the crowd of cats, meowing his Apprentice's name, Maplepaw? Maplepaw, over here!"

Falconfeather walked towards Tigerpaw. "Hello," she said softly, "I'm Falconfeather, your new mentor." She was nervous. This would be her first apprentice and she wasn't sure if she was ready for that. "What have you learned from Duskleap so far?"

"The beginning of fighting and some hunting. I'm pretty god at hunting mice and squirrels, but not birds,really, and not toads or frogs either." Tigerpaw beamed at Falconfeather. She could tell her new mentor was going to be great. @Pheasantflight

Maplepaw's head snapped to where she was being called from, her eyes landing on the black tom calling her name. Padding over, she dipped her head respectfully.
"I'm glad to be apprenticed to you," she mewed, noticing Nightfur seemed to be plenty excited; hopefully he wouldn't be too energetic of a mentor. "And I'm happy to finally start training; I haven't learned much of anything." Her tone took on a more exasperated sound - she didn't want to be any farther behind with training than she already was.

Falconfeather thought for a minute. Hunting and fighting, let's see... "I think we should work on your hunting skills first, that's what I feel like I'm best in." She started walking towards the entrance to camp, "So, you say you're not good at hunting birds?"

"Not really," Tigerpaw admitted. She followed Falconfeather, keeping pace with her.

"Well, that's good for me," she joked. Falconfeather loved the way the pine forest made her feel. She liked the casting of shadows it made and how it helped prey to hide. How can Windclan stay out under the sky, she thought, disgusted. Falconfeather shook her head and looked back at Tigerpaw. "Let me think. There are a lot of birds near the Riverclan border. Maybe we should try there first?"
