lilackit bounced around in a nice shaded area from the aggressive winter sun. it was freezing, but lilac had pawed around in the prey pile to find a slightly frozen vole, which she was now sitting on to defrost as she waited for fawnkit.

Fawnkit padded up to the older kit, giving her an investigative sniff.
"What are you doing?" he asked, looking at the thing she was sitting on. He sat in a sunny spot, used to being nice and warm next to his mother. He wasn't very impressed with this weather business.

Fawnkit's tail lifted happily. Lilackit was nearly old enough to be an apprentice, and she wanted to play with him!
"Oh! Well, what d'you wanna play?" he asked, sniffing the defrosting vole curiously. He gave it a prod, making a face when his paw came back cold. "Why's it all cold for?" The big cats had only ever brought him and his littermates warm prey before - what was different about this one?

lilackit blinked at the two questions coming at her. ' i dunno whatta play, but, uh- it's cold cuz. you know, it's cold outside. n stuff. so the vole gets all cold n stuffs. ' she huffed a laugh, watching it puff into the cold air and dissipate.
