Okay, good, all of them were here. Bumblestar glanced over them as they moved through the crowd.

"Beetlekit, Mushroomkit, Strikekit, Shrewkit, Rosekit, Redkit - you've all proven yourselves ready to start your warrior training. From now 'till you earn your full name, you'll be known as Beetlepaw, Mushroompaw, Strikepaw, Shrewpaw, Rosepaw, and Redpaw.

"Beetlepaw, your mentor is Rowanhowl.
"Mushroompaw, you're training with Sparrowpelt.
"Strikepaw, you'll be mentored by Dovefluff.
"Shrewpaw, your training'll be overseen by Dawnshred.
"Rosepaw, you're with Berryfrost.
"And Redpaw, you'll be doing your training with Yarrowcrest."

With pairings out of the way, Bumblestar fell silent to let the Clan give the new apprentices the attention they deserved.

Hearing his name made his head turn to be more alert. A new apprentice, huh? Interesting. He wasn't sure which little cat he was assigned yet, but he was sure they'd make themselves know. In the meantime, he chanted the new apprentices names.

Mushroompaw smiled with delight as he was given his new name. They black apprentice jumped around excitedly and dashed over to Sparrowpelt, his eyes shinning. 'Hello!' He mouthed, sitting in front of his mentor.

He was doing his best, he really was. But his head was throbbing and it felt like his stomach was trying to compress into itself. Something about apprentices and ranking up. Good for them, so far it seems like the more recent batches of apprentices are becoming decent warriors. A breath of fresh air.

Ear twitching as Chestunutfall spoke up beside him, talking about how his apprentice ceremony was wonderful. It made him sniff. His apprentice ceremony was when Eveningstar was...well the 'leader'. Wasn't really of any note or rememberence. "My last apprentice killed a kit, than got killed by the molly standin up on that rock." he deadpanned.

Spiderthroat was going to say something along the lines of "I woulda if she didn't" but he could barely hear himself think at the sudden outburst of yelling. Followed by a weight on his shoulder that somewhat anchored him to the present. He swore he saw Asterdance for a few moments there.

Turning his head so he can somewhat look at Mudhound from the corner of his eye. "You could help me by lettin me keep my hearin for a little while longer." he huffed, an unamused expression forming on his features. The look lingering for a few moments until he looked over at Drizzlecloud. "I may need you to check n see if my ears r bleedin."

When wonder is met with deadpanned recollections of the previous instances of Spiderhtroat's apprentice, Chestnutfall feels his throat run dry. Whiskers twitch uncomfortably and he lets the silence between them linger. Shuffling his paws to dispel the tightness that has accumulated there he waits until the white tom is finished speaking with Drizzlecloud before looking over at him. "Don't you go thinkin' that's your fault, though," he murmurs softly, genuine concern in his gaze. "That kid... well they were troubled..." Truth be told he still hasn't made up his mind what to exactly believe. Was what Cracklepaw did wrong? Yes. Was death the correct answer? ...He isn't sure.

Ears perk back up as Bumblestar begins to name the apprentice. "Maybe you'll get another one from the bunch up there," the brown tom reassures the calico, hoping to segway into a topic that is far away from the previous one. It's hard for Chestnutfall to determine how Spiderthroat feels about the whole situation, and he knows a meeting isn't the time or place to dive for details.

The assignments come however, and neither Spiderthroat nor himself are announced as mentors. Chestnutfall can't help but feel a little crestfallen, ears falling and whiskers drooping slightly. The spark in his eyes falters briefly and he lets out a sigh. "Well, maybe the next batch then," he purrs, the optimism returning to line his words as the smile reappears. "Beetlepaw! Mushroompaw! Strikepaw! Shrewpaw! Rosepaw! Redpaw!" His chanting is held a little louder, mingling in with the other voices calling for the apprentice's names.

In the break between chanting their names and awaiting the continuation of the meeting, Chestnutfall looks back at Spiderthroat, lifting himself up just slightly and sticking his nose just a little close to the tom's ears. Drizzlecloud is on one side of him and can't check both ears, so he decides to help. "No blood! You're all good, Spiderthroat," the tom purrs in a lighthearted tone, his smile widening as he thumps his fluffy tail against the ground behind him.

Beetlepaw went looking for her mentor. It took a while for the ridiculously tiny apprentice to find her mentor in the group of other cats, most much bigger than her, but eventually she managed. The mute apprentice gently poked her mentor to get her attention. She wanted to touch her mentor's nose, but the seven moon old was just too small to easily reach. @redshiftreign
