As the outsiders left Wolfpaw relaxed. The tension had tired him out more than he liked to let on. "Thanks, he mumbled to Roaringcoast and Wildtwist, relieved the headaches were gone and too drained to dodge the head lick.

Fallenheart

Fallenheart woke at Bumblestar's cry and scrambled over to the Stormcrest. Her tail lashed from side to side gently and she trotted quickly over to the rock. She sat down and looked up to the leader. Oh, she thought, perhaps this was the meeting for deputy to be chosen. She wondered if she could get chosen! Oh, what an honor it would be to work alongside Bumblestar, help make decisions, be a leading-cat. Fallenheart loved having responsibilities, her brain was very organized. In fact, you may think if her mind was a place it'd be an office full of file cabinets and drawers.

She wondered who the next deputy could be, after all she doubted it was her. Chickadeesong was for sure worthy of the role or Sagefern. She wrapped her long tail around herself, her crystalline blue eyes glowing as morning sunlight hit her face. She had slept in for sure, normally she woke up before the moon fell asleep. She watched as the morning stars faded into the late dawn sky. Soon she would hunt, it would be a good idea to get lots of prey before leaf-bare. Perhaps she could ask a few cats to come with her, or meet up with someone on the way. Who knows, only the cats of the stars can control how her day went.

Please let this day be a good one! She sent up her morning prayer, wondering if when she did that ritual... did anyone hear her? Did any Starclan cat even pay attention to her prayer or ignore her offers. Perhaps they couldn't control anything and they just sent help down when they could, but, how would they know when fires were coming or harsh leaf-bares? Perhaps it was all an illusion when medicine cats and leaders dream, I mean none of her prayers had come true, not yet by a long run. But maybe it was because they couldn't hear her. But they had to be real, right? There's no way a cat could smell or hear when a fire was about to start, or, could it be we are that sensitive and don't really know it? She shook off the thought, Starclan had to be real, had to be. She wanted it to be real, so why not just believe that when she asked for something and it happened to come... Starclan was responsible?

As always, things started off much less smoothly than Bumblestar would prefer. She straightened up to watch as Wolfpaw and Roaringcoast handled some odd strangers, relaxing once it seemed to have calmed down. Great, hopefully things would go a little bit better this time.

"Okay, everybody be quiet 'n listen." No-nonsense tone, she wasn't in the mood to chase after fools and try to make them behave. "There's a lot to cover, but I wanna go over the good stuff first before I get into the rest of it.

"As you should all be well aware of, Foxstep was demoted earlier this moon for stupid, easily avoidable decisions. I'm not keen on letting ThunderClan go on much longer without a deputy, 'n while I don't think a lot of you are actually capable of doing what needs to be done about this, I don't wanna leave that spot vacant. Makes us look disorganized 'n we can't afford that right now."

Bumblestar turned her gaze to the outer rim of the medicine den. "Spiderthroat. You're one of the few I trust to actually help me hold this Clan together. You have been for a while 'n as ThunderClan's deputy I expect you to keep on with it. I've not had a reason to doubt you so far. Don't give me one."

As the intrusion is dealt with, Chestnutfall lets his fur lie flat, tail falling as the outsiders leave the camp. Despite the relaxation of his muscles, the tom worries over how two cats who were not Clan born knew of the camp's location. His face creases in thought as he sits back down, looking over towards Spiderthroat and Drizzlecloud both to gauge their reactions to it.

Words coming from Bumblestar however thwart his reconnaissance missiong and Chestnutfall looks to the Stormcrest. He frowns lightly at the apparent lack of faith their leader seems to have in them. Was there more they could be doing? Other areas in which they needed to step up? Having his head stuck in a cloud of grief was doing no one any good, so the brown tom made a silent vow to do better.

He soon feels the sharp gaze of his leader look towards the medicine den, and upon naming Spiderthroat the new Clan deputy, Chestnutfall's eyes go wide. "Spiderthroat! Spiderthroat! Spiderthroat!" he beguns the chant, tail swishing excitedly on the ground. Bi-colored eyes glow with admiration as he watches his Clanmate. How very proud he must feel, to have such an honor bestowed upon him. "You're gonna do great!" A smile upturns his maw as Chestnutfall beams at the older cat.

Rateye quietly lay near the back of the area, his tail low on the ground and his eyes dull like a dead body. He wasn't dead, but... Something was off.

Wildtwist nodded to wolfpaw and made his way to the front of the crowd. "This better for you, bud?" the longhaired asked the apprentice. It did make sense that they would want to be next to their mentor. He smiled as Bumblestar announced Spiderthroat as deputy. "Spiderthroat! Spiderthroat!" he cheered softly.

Aww...the new deputy was grumpy cat?! Well Nightgaze certainly didn't expect that...was she actually kinda did he would probably be responsible also he was old...but still...He was such a stick in the mud!

Despite her "annoyance" at Spiderthroat being the new deputy she still cheered "Spidey! Spidey!" that was her nickname for him she had one for everyone and would never stop calling anyone by them!

Now time to sit still and wait for the rest of it hopefully there was more good news and no bad news but there probably was...as there always was now since the war with Shadowclan and the many lives that had been taken.
