His brows furrowed and he frowned, his gaze turning sharp. "My answer is NO, Cormorantpaw," he said. "I'm waiting until every cat has been seen to, and that's that. Try to force me, and I'll have you stuck on bedding duty for a week."

He tilted sideways as Sageflurry pulled away from him and fought to right himself with a grunt. Catmint... surely he didn't need catmint. He wasn't that sick, all he had was a cough! Maybe some other cat needed it. A thorn of nervousness pricked at his heart, and he shifted on his paws.
His ears shot forward as Duskstar announced that the dens were done, and raised his head to peer about the camp. That had been done faster than he expected, but it looked nice. He lifted a paw as if to walk toward the leader, maybe ask her if he could stand guard for the night in case anything tried to get in. But a short cough stopped him, and he turned back to Lionwhisker with a sigh. "Do you mind if I wait in the medicine den until Sageflurry comes back?" he asked. "I'm not sure how much longer I can remain on my paws like this."
