Curlpaw was now, more or less, in the hunter's crouch after he had been moved. "Now you're in the hunter's crouch! Take a moment to understand the feel of it, then try it again for yourself." With a gentle smile, the tom stepped back.

"Ooh, games!" With that, Curlpaw lunged forward. "Sproing! Okay, again!" He turned around, and got into the crouch again, this time a little more accurately. "'S it good?"

Blackwing watched as his apprentice leaped, then got back into the crouch. "That's pretty good! It'll only get better as time goes on too." Blackwing moved a bit closer to Curlpaw. "Alright, now we learn how to stalk. You place your paws very lightly on the ground, and you move slowly as to not alert the prey. You do this to get pretty close to the prey animal, whatever it might be." Blackwing sniffed the air for a moment before saying, "Okay, I want you to scent the air, and tell me what you smell." He simply wanted to see if Curlpaw could smell any prey around.

Curlkit took in a lot of air through his mouth, and caught a fly in his throat. He made a chocking sound, and the fly flew out. "I caught something..." He sounded quite unhappy with the latest experience. "That sucked. I know we can smell through our mouths but I don't think that was it."

Whisperpaw wriggled his haunches as he dropped back into a hunting crouch, pulling himself forward on careful paws. Narrowing his blue eyes, he spring-loaded his legs and pushed forward with the most speed he could manage. His forepaws landed on the toad's back. The little animal fought back and smacked him in the muzzle with one of it's webbed feet but it did no good, he quickly nipped it on the neck and it died with a squeak.

Blackwing tried his hardest not to laugh too hard at his apprentice. Besides, that could very well happen to him someday. "Haha, just try again." He scented the air again, making sure there was actually something nearby to scent.

Aha! Houndleap had finally picked up the scent of his siblings, trotting along until he gained a line of sight with them as they were padding down a hill. "Nice I could finally join you guys huh?" The tabby remarked this as he approached his sister and brother, blinking at them, taking in the fact they both looked awfully sad for having been hunting. "What's wrong, didn't catch nothin'? You both look so down in the dumps I feel like I'd have to dive in and drag ya out." The tabby kept pace with the two of them, wracking his brain for more reasons his siblings might not be happy. "Didja both argue or somethin'?" Now that's a reason that would be common, siblings argued all the time. Just Wolf usually bullied instead of arguing from Houndleap's experience.

Clover nodded. She searched around in the grass for a clover. When she found one she carefully picked it up in her mouth and walked back over to the other cat. She dropped the clover and patted it with her paw. ‘This strange cat seems nice enough. What the... Twilightstar tipped her head to the side in a thoughtful hawklike fashion as the molly set down a plant in front of her. It took some intense staring before a lightbulb went off in her head. "Clover, that your name?" She asked, but wasn't expecting an answer. At least this outsider had a somewhat sensible name. She watches intently as another unspoken question is asked in the form of charades. "Twilightstar." She answered, thinkin' for a second before going into a little more detail. "I'm the leader of WindClan, and the land you're standing on right now belongs to me. It's WindClan territory." She gives a flourishing wave of her tail indicating the landing around them. "Now, if you have no business here and aren't dying I'm going to have to ask you to leave. Outsiders aren't allowed in my territory."

This cat's scent seemed strange. It didn't smell like a kittypet, let alone a loner. He didn't care who this cat was, she gave him food and he was satisfied. Todd picked up the mouse and started devouring it. It felt like he hadn't eaten in moons. He was delighted . With a mouthful of mouse, he said "I'm Todd. I came out here looking for clan cats. I can't seem to find them." He finished up the mouse and started licking his paws. He looked up at the molly "Are you a clan cat? You don't smell like a loner to me."He tilted his head and gave her a curious look.

She should really stop feeding outsiders, although, since no one but she knew about it she supposed she could ignore the warrior code here and there. It wasn't killing anyone and the prey has been abundant with spring here. "Nice to meet you...Tod." Who came up with these names?! "Well, it's your lucky day. Not only am I a clan cat I'm a Clan leader, Twilightstar." She didn't sound overly proud of it. She's gotten so use to being a leader it's lost its oomph."What do you want with a clan, kit?"

Uh oh. She didn't seem amused (or that pleased to see him back!), but from what Tigersnap knew about her, that didn't seem to be anything personal. So, undaunted, he explained, "Well, I was out in the territory one day and thought I'd look for a fishing stream, 'cause, you know, we don't have any good ones here in WindClan." -- here he gestured with his paw, in a "obviously" sort of way -- "So I went looking for one -- out in the outskirts. It took me a while, but I did find a pretty nice one! Lots of big fish. And afterwards I guess I got a little mousebrained and lost my way." He stopped, sucking in a breath and grinning as if reliving something great.

Twilightstar appeared to had fallen asleep half through the story seeing how her eyes closed themselves. The way her ears twitched made it clear that she was listening to him. Once he finished, she slowly opened her eyes and wiggled her nose feeling a sneeze build up before disappearing. "So basically you went out fishing?" not bothering to wait for an answer, Twilightstar continued. "Acceptable, but next time tell me when you're leaving." If it was for hunting outside their territory, Twilightstar didn't really mind so long as they didn't bring trouble back with them. "Well, I'm glad to see that you're back safe and unharmed, but the next time you go out of the territory without telling me you're going to be in some serious trouble." There was a stern edge in her words. "You're free to go."

@Sum - I'll get Tigersnap back on the allegiance, let me know if I don't though sometimes I do forget. You're free to go and rp with him.

Runningpaw smirked, eyes narrowing. She was annoyed by her, probably by the fact they were so simliar. She often got into quarrels with equally furry cats, and boy, did she get to fight back. But she was making this difficult. She smiled at her comment, nodding in agreement. She was going to enjoy annoying the heck out of her mentor. That was her prized skill.
"But, come on! That's not fair! I bet I can respect you, you arrogant hare-brain!" She mewed, bristling.

Cedarfoot let out a laugh, shaking her head. "Calling me hare-brained won't get you out of the Elder's Den, it'll get you back in." She smirked and circled behind Runningpaw, shouldering her towards the den. Maybe after this she could train her, but without it? Cedarfoot wouldn't be able to stand a minute trying to hunt with the loud-mouth. At least when she was an apprentice she knew how to shut up. Slightly.

Mistfur let out a small laugh as the apprentice caught a frog that fought back. "Good job Whisperpaw!" Mistfur said walking up to were Whisperpaw had caught the frog. "Would you like to explore more?" The she cat asked politely.
