Lobsterpaw bit his lip.

Honeypaw knew already that she'd be her mother's little cutie and she didn't want and confirmation so she didn't say anything.

Applepaw glared at her mother,"Why swimming, why not fishing or land hunting?"

Lynxsky purred,"We don't do much land fishing- I mean hunting...and I'm trying to remind you of the joys of swimming which fishing can't show you.."

Applepaw growled,"I'm not rejoining Riverclan!"

"Lynxsky! Applepaw! Both of you stop, please! No one is forcing anyone to do anything against Starclan's wishes. But, we are all taking a little trip to hunt, and swim if you'd like." He snapped looking at Applepaw and Lynxsky. "Do you both understand me?" Normally he didn't snap at his family, much less his mate, but right now seemed like the time. They were acting like a couple of elders by the way they were bickering. "Now, all of you are coming. Lobsterpaw, Honeypaw...Applepaw and your mother. You need to spend a little time together, even if it is just this one little trip for your mother." He mewed, voice back on a normal level. The golden brown tom flicked his tail and looked at each family member.

Goldeneye couldn't help but wonder if the tom was okay. He had seen him practically staring at a she-cat and what appeared to be her kit. Something like that anyways. Either way, he said nothing, not wanting to say the wrong thing and just get mocked even more. Maybe he was just lost in thought, Golden had no idea. "If I could swim, then I would probably do that," the tom laughed. Though the idea of shells and pretty stones sounded nice to him. He hadn't seen many shells before, though he had seen plenty of stones. He wondered what a Riverclan cat's definition of pretty was. He guessed, however, that he would have to see. The deputy got up reasonably quickly, as he was still somewhat unnerved from the flood. And who could blame the deputy for that? He was still searching every couple of minutes to make sure that everyone was still in the camp. At least Shadowclan-wise. This small break with Fogfur might help him relax a bit, the tom would see. "You lead the way," he said calmly, looking at Fogfur, his golden and green orbs glancing around the clearing once more, before following the Riverclan Tom.

Goldenstep sighed as he thought, why are she-cats this stubborn exactly. He looked at Lynxsky and mewed, "Applepaw is old enough to make her own choices, and hunt for herself. You have to remember...if we didn't live in the clans, she would already have gone off on her own or have died. I know it is hard, but you can still see her...and she is still part of the clans. Applepaw is her own cat, you can't control Starclan's wishes." He glared at Applepaw for a moment, hearing her say 'I'm clearly more mature than you then' to her mother.

Applepaw sighed," I'm not going to change clans."

Plodding out of their den, Honeycomb was… tired. Again. These days, they normally were.
It had only been a few days since their big argument with the molly they loved, and the distance between them now was almost… painful for them. They couldn’t sleep without Wolfdancer’s presence-- how would they be able to function without that? The fact that their nightmares featured her was pretty. Nice, to say the least. That is, when nice means emotionally crippling in every way, shape or form possible: Honey had some regrets.
Stubby paws brought the enby over to the fresh-kill pile, as they mulled over what could be done today. Picking a pathetic-looking chaffinch (‘same,’ they would have thought,) from the far left of it, Honeycomb yawned as they batted the bird into a close enough distance to pick up and sink into melancholy again. How could they be so disgustingly cruel, choosing a mother who didn’t even care about them over the most important molly in their life? It was stupid, and the decision had just begun to sink in.
Growing in frustration, they tore into the small piece of prey, not even bothering to give thanks to Starclan. What did they have to thank them for? Nothing. Easily finishing the bird in about three unnecessarily large bites, they pushed its corpse away, disgusted by their own gluttony and life in general.
The early-morning chill was starting to get to them-- all they wanted now was forgiveness… or simply someone else to talk to.

An ebony tom entered the clearing, the morning air pleasantly warm, but not hot, against his dark pelt. This was the time of day that Jasperpelt liked the most. His yellow eyes swept the clearing, looking for a cat who might be in need of some company... or a familiar face. The last few times he had entered the clearing, and the territory, he had met other cats. Shellfeather. Cloversplash. Lotusheart. And, a long, long time ago... Littlesong. Though he hadn't seen the feline lately, and he missed her just a bit. She had been nice. But he had his best friend now, and a couple of other friends, cats that filled his lonely days with happiness and playfulness. He could see Honeycomb before he reached them - seeing their actions, and almost able to sense the frustration and disgust from a distance... confusion entered his mind. And it was a look of confusion on his features as he settled down beside them.

"G - good morning, I - I'm sorry to b - bother you, but I... I... w - well, you seemed a little l - lonely, and I thought I c - could keep you company," That same nervous twinge was in his deep voice. Such a deep voice, and it sounded almost threatening, yet it wasn't. It was friendly. Kind. Calm. Those were the emotions behind the voice, in Jasperpelt's mind. And nervous... he was always nervous. Always. Rare was a day when he felt as though he had peace, to be honest. "I - it's H - Honeycomb, r - right?" The tom did his best to remember his clanmates' names, and he felt as though he had seen them before.

He could only hope that they weren't a newly arrived ShadowClan warrior, and he had been staying out of the clearing... so they very well could have been. Though Jasperpelt was confident he had gotten their name right. He remembered Honeycomb... at least he believed he did.





A Chausie stepped into the clearing, tail swishing from side to side, bright eyes alert and as friendly as ever. When he came into the clearing, the stench of ShadowClan hit his senses and left his mind spinning... that scent brought familiar memories. Good ones, mostly, but a few bad. Ugh, please don't let that little rat and his girlfriend be here. I hope they died in the flood. Wouldn't that just be a miracle? He thought, referring to Scorpionsting and Redflight - neither of which the tom liked. But, another, more pressing thought struck his mind. I hope Shiverlight's alright. She was a good cat, a unique cat... a cat that Charmpelt liked. His eyes scanned the clearing, looking for her. He could almost feel her yelling in his face that his Clan was stupid and she didn't even want to be here. And he, of course, would reply with a charming - witty - remark. Because he was a genius, duh! Shiverlight might not get him now, and he was worried after their last meeting. The tom was desperate not to run into those idiots. One of them yelled too much - but she was dumber then Shiverlight - and the other one looked like a little rat. An eager little rat. Charmpelt could have ripped him apart, given the chance... made him bleed out, just like he had said. Made the little rat pay. But, then again, some cats held more strength then they appeared to have. And he wasn't about to take the chance that Scorpionsting was one of those cats. @Royal
