Petalkit's ears perked up as her named was called by the leader herself. She shyly moved forward with the other kit that was called, sitting beside them, her green eyes gazed up.

though the rain was less than desirable, the apprentice was quick to pad towards the grimpeak, her ears firm against her head and her head ducked low. for a moment, the girl sought her mentor, elkmane, but eventually settled down towards the back of the crowd without searching for too long. she kept her tail firmly wrapped around her hind legs, wishing, simply put, that this meeting could end quickly so that she and the rest of her clanmates--who must certainly be as uncomfortable in this rain as she was--could get under some real cover. but, instead of voicing her distaste for the current weather, fernpaw gave a light thud of her paws against the ground in a cheering-manner for the kits who were being called towards the leader.

ceremonies are always fun, she thought. all the more apprentices to train with.

Rookfire? He blinked. He seemed friendlier than usual. The calico wasn't used to spending his meeting with others, but he wasn't averse to it. He slunk over, just in time to notice a young warrior... Trying to clean Rookfire's fur? The enforcer suppressed a giggle, simply glancing over with an amused look in his eyes. Glad it wasn't him. Rookfire always struck him as a more stoic type like himself, probably someone that wouldn't appreciate random cats grooming his fur. Perhaps the two knew each other? She was far too young to be his mother or anyhting, so perhaps a younger sister, or something. He didn't keep up with that kind of stuff: He didn't know Owlthroat himself had kits, until they were apprentices. "How're we doing today?" He lifted a paw, taking some time to clean it himself, and swoop it over his ears.
