Spottedpaw had managed to recruit Ashcloud to help her brush up on the skills she needed to do for her final assessment. Too many mentors had left her high and dry and she was very bitter about the whole thing. If it wasn't seemingly uncontrollable depression stopping her, it was another cat stopping her. Was Starclan scheming against her? At this point she believed so for what had already happened in her life. Let's see if this guy would just be another disappointment. They were already walking out to territory and her thoughts drifted to all her other mentors before.
Now that they were in the territory, Ashcloud stopped and looked back to Spottedpaw. She was a full grown adult so he wondered what this was all about but at least she was taking the time to try and do something about it. Maybe. "Right, I don't feel like walking a bunch just yet so we will start with hunting." He said as he got down in a crouching position. "I'm sure you've hunted before but show me your pose."
Spottedpaw let out a soft sigh. Right to it, that's fine. So the apprentice got down into a hunting position. It wasn't her first time hunting at all but she listened anyways. No need to chew him out or anything. What if he left if she did that?
"That's great. Now stalk up to that rock and kill it." Ashcloud said.
With that Spottedpaw checked if she was down wind from the prey. Realizing she was she slowly crept over then. POW, she slammed her paw down on the rock, then turned her head towards Ashcloud.
"Alright, yes it looks like you've hunted before, but let's fully prove it with a rabbit hunt, hm?"
"Sure, tell me what to do." Spottedpaw said as she walked back over to Ashcloud. She knew that he was going to tell her anyways but she had to seem interested.
