Blackjaw smiled when Mosstangle sat beside him, and the tom scoffed exaggeratedly when she headbutted him. He gave a teasing push with his shoulder, and then wrapped his tail around her. "I wonder what the deal is this meeting," the tom mewed. He knew some apprentices were being made today, including Wildkit, who with any luck would be apprenticed to himself.

Mosstangle grinned at Blackjaw's silly scoff, shaking her head as he pushed back against her. His tail wrapped around her and the tabby's heart skipped a beat. That was new. That brought a lot of heat to her face and made butterflies flutter in her belly. She really needed to tell him... Here wasn't the time, though. Not now.

Mosstangle's ear twitched at the question. "Hopefully we have apprentice and warrior ceremonies. Other than that... I don't know. If anything, maybe Windclan finally asked for help with their twoleg and trap issues?" She pondered aloud, remembering the recent gathering and how Dawnstar had seemed willing to help Twilightstar. It was an interesting thought, but, alas, Mosstangle had no clue how any of those traps worked. She could learn, though.

Blackjaw looked over at the she-cat, looking down ever so slightly to meet her gaze. His golden hues were thoughtful, remembering the recent WindClan developments and how Twilightstar had mentioned losing cats to the twoleg traps.

"I suppose that's possible," the tom mewed. The traps could become a problem for everyone if they weren't dealt with. It seemed like every clan was dealing with something or another. ThunderClan's absence at the last Gathering had surely not gone unnoticed by the other three clans, and Blackjaw could only wonder why.

The tom felt a few raindrops fall on his head. It seemed the rain was falling a bit harder now, something that apparently always seemed to happen when Dawnstar called these meetings. The tom blinked as a rain drop fell directly on his nose. "Dawnstar must be the Queen of Rain too," the tom purred to Mosstangle.

It would be an understatement if Mosstangle said she was interested in knowing how Windclan was handling the traps, and even more-so to know why Thunderclan had just not shown up at all. There was a lot going on out there that they didn't know about. Was Shadowclan the only one not effected by anything, right now? If she was superstitious, she would knock on wood for just thinking of such a thing.

Ah, Mosstangle looked up at Blackjaw as he did her. No. She couldn't do it. She felt her face grow warm and she looked away as the raindrop hit his nose. She had to stifle a snicker at his comment about the queen of rain. She couldn't remember if it had done anything but rain at these clan meetings. She opted to dip her head down and position it underneath his chin, as though that would be any kind of shelter from the rain.

Naturally, it didn't protect her that much, but it did give her an excuse to do it. "Or, perhaps the sky just loves us so much that it cries every time we gather together." She mused. She really wasn't a fan of the rain, or water in general, but, at least for now, she could handle it for a clan meeting. Besides, Blackjaw was quite warm compared to the cool raindrops.

Blackjaw was, by all rights, smitten to a whole new extent. Sure there was his apprentice crushes and all that, but this, this was something entirely different. He couldn't even look her in the eyes without losing his cool. Had he come to terms with the fact that they were most definitely more than friends? Yes. No friends were taking risks to get each others favorite flowers, or randomly leaving gifts for each other on their nests.

His heart skipped a beat when the queen nuzzled her head below his, presumably to shield herself from the rain. The tom knew how little she liked water, and their first encounter had proven that enough. He couldn't help but feel there was an underlying reason for her move, more than just avoiding the rain. He didn't mind at all though, rather enjoying her warmth against him. He rested his head on top of her's, and a light purr rose from his throat.

"After this meeting, can we go to the grotto?" the tom mewed quietly, his voice laced with sweetness as he looked ahead. "I got something I want to tell you," he purred.

Despite it being a fairly quiet purr, it rumbled in Mosstangle's ear. So, too, did Blackjaw's words. Her belly tightened a bit and a quick twitch of her tail tip were the only reply for a moment. She would have to use this as an opportunity to bring up... A few things... And she hoped she knew what he wanted to talk about.

"That sounds good." She purred in reply. Mosstangle didn't feel like moving yet, and Dawnstar hadn't really started to speak yet, so she was comfortable staying right where she was.

Dawnstar's tattered ears were pressed back against her head as she tried to avoid getting a single drop of water inside them. Dawnstar shifted her weight between her forepaws while her clanmates slowly gathered below her.

"Petalkit, Wildkit, and Bunnykit. Get up here." Dawnstar snarls impatiently while shaking rain from her pelt. Only three, she wasn't sure if she should be disappointed or delighted, a smaller group means less time in this rain.

"Sleekpaw and Icepaw settled in behind them." Dawnstar felt the old wood splinter apart underneath her claws as she pressed them into the peak. Her eyes shift around in search of the two apprentices, as if glaring at them would make them move faster.

Bunnykit practically sprinted up, eyes gleaming in excitement and teeth grinning with a big old smile, his ears perked intently. Nervous energy slowly flattered up into his body, and he looked at his father's, ears slightly pinning in slight worry.

Coldpaw was admittedly disappointed. He wanted tea, not day-to-day rubbish! Hopefully this went quick, he'd rather be inside a den than tucked beneath this cedar.
