Make sure to congratulate Versailles on their promotion from c-mod in training to fully fledged chat moderator! They've worked very hard, and we can't wait to see where they go from here!
Doeflame listened as Lionsun said she'd take the role of defence, matching the warrior's smile with a grin of her own. That meant she was on offensive. Great; that was what she'd been hoping for. "Sounds good. And for the rest of the planning I reckon we just wing it. It's not like our opponents are going to follow along with any plans we have, after all." She had never put thought into planning for battles; they were just too unpredictable. This event was easier to plan for, as they knew the cats they would be facing, but it still probably wouldn't amount to much.
Doeflame glanced at Rookfire as he asked Tuftedtusk when he was going to start the meeting. Her brother responded with a nod, before telling the gathered cats to begin. "Let's do this," she said to Lionsun, before searching for their opponents in the crowd- only to see them already making their way towards them.
Hey, you two. Looks like you're up against us. You ready? "Absolutely," Doeflame said. The smile that had been present on her face widened to a grin, matching the Enforcer's. This was going to be fun. "You're going down," she told her as she shifted into a battle stance, keeping her eyes on Briarsplash- and Roachflare, too, if his position made it possible. If not, she'd have to rely on Lionsun to watch him.
Briarsplash didn't wait for her to make the first move. She leapt at her, swinging a paw at her head. Doeflame ducked to avoid the hit, then raced at her with her body still low to the ground, aiming to slam herself into the Enforcer's legs and unbalance her, if not knock her over. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Lionsun attacking Briarsplash's flank; hopefully he'd also be able to keep Roachflare out of the way. It would be annoying if she was able to get Briarsplash down but not be able to pin her because she was being attacked.

Ravenfeather saw Quietmouth go into a defensive stance and Tuftedtusk so he knew they were about to fight, he looked over to Covepaw and tilted his head a bit, saying to go around the back.

roachflare nodded, managing a small smile in response to briarsplashs own. hard and fast.. "maybe with y-your size"
bug shuffled mismatched paws, he hadnt really gotten much real life battle opportunities but nodded along the enforcers strategy. she was a bit..intense. but wasnt everyone intense in one way or another? mudslides silence could be intense as well. not to them but..to other cats for sure. "more sneaky-..yes" they nodded, shifting where they sat again. "y-you could take their attention and i'll get them from..behind" the small tom offered, voice high pitched at the end of his sentence as if asking a question rather than making a suggestion.
rookfire nodded, sleepy was small, he could tank more than she could. but neither mosstangle nor that blackjaw guy looked like hard hitters. he turned to look at the two, yawn slitting his maw in half briefly before rows of sharp teeth quietly clinked together again. "dunno if this'll be much of a challenge" he commented, eyes briefly flicking to sleepysunrise before returning to their opponents. blackjaw and mosstangle were both young. where was the challenge in that? if he could beat a senior warrior twice his age that had managed to be promoted to enforcer he could probably take both of them at once. ah disappointing..
quite honestly more interested in the other groups, rookfire eyed hawkbites group. it felt like a bit of a set up for magpiecove, being by far the youngest and most inexperienced of the four. briarsplash had been assigned mudslides little friend and were fighting...stars he didnt even remember. nor did he care.
given rooks roleplayer does not remember the last, now deleted post, and the event has sort of died a bit im taking the liberty to yell at tufted now. growing bored, rookfire craned his neck, seeking out tuftedtusk with his gaze before raising his voice.
"yo tufted are we gonna start anytime soon?"
while there was a grand opportunity to make a stab at him rook was wiser than to test his luck.

Glad her agreed. Sleepysunrise couldn't help the sly upwards tug of her maw as she regarded Mosstangle and Blackjaw from a distance, her ear flicked a nagging voice away. She tipped her head in thought, the bottom of her chin exposed to the air ruffling her head, ear tips pointing at Rookfire. "Don't get cocky, maybe they'll be fun."
She mused in turn, falling silent only until Tuftedtusk finally began the event, with Rookfire prompting.
She took a long moment to stretch out her legs in front of her, feeling little pops within her joints. She straightened back up, glancing at the newly reinstated enforcer with a knowing expression; it was about time they started this game. She positioned herself somewhere behind the larger tom, innocently giving the opponents the time to find their own positions.
Blackjaw nodded as he listened to Mosstangle's ideas. He agreed with how she wanted to approach it, due to their somewhat similar but also very different fighting styles. Blackjaw's large bulk and physical resistance were very useful for a defensive position, whereas Mosstangle had to edge of agility with her size.
Mosstangle's abrupt cut off and question caught him off guard at first. "No, I think your plan is great," he purred. "Out of both of them, I've only seen Rookfire fight, and I have no clue how Sleepysunrise is in battle. She's small, which could be both an advantage and a disadvantage. So I suppose we will have to guage it as we go along," the tom mewed.

MOSSTANGLE
Shadowclan Warrior | 19 moons | Large, dark brown-and-white tabby she-cat with green eyes

Mosstangle nodded. She was glad that she and Blackjaw were on the same page. It would be good to gauge Sleepysunrise as they went. The medicine cat was definitely an interesting one... and anyone related to Dawnstar would be a hassle. There was no telling how competent the medicine cat would be, so she refused to underestimate her.
Well, the event had started... what were they waiting for? With a grin, Mosstangle whipped her tail to flick Blackjaw's shoulder, letting him know it was time to go and darted forward, expecting the white tom to be right on her tail. It looked like Sleepysunrise was taking cover behind Rookfire, so Mosstangle wasn't going to bother trying to get to her, yet. She had to trust that Blackjaw had her back. Trying to remember parts of the enforcer challenge, Mosstangle's ears pinned back, head dropped low, and eyes narrowed as she approached.
With a quick shift of her weight and a low crouch, Mosstangle moved to slam into Rookfire's side, planning to hit where the enforcer had been raked across his ribs by Owlthroat. She expected that the former medicine cat was still quite tender there. She followed through with some heavy blows to further throw him off balance and bring the tall enforcer down. If she could knock him down... somehow keep him down... Well, her and Blackjaw's odds of actually winning this fight went up, even with the wildcard that was Sleepysunrise.

Blackjaw's eyes landed on the opposing pair as he slowly walked behind Mosstangle, his muscles structure rippling underneath his pelt. His golden eyes watched, the medicine cat's maw regarding them.
And with that, it was go time. Blackjaw smirked at Mosstangle's flick, and kept steady behind her as the she-cat launched forward. She slammed herself into Rookfire, so Blackjaw turned his attention to Sleepysunrise. If Mosstangle needed his help, then she would ensure he knew.
He darted out from behind Mosstangle, rushing towards the medicine cat. With Mosstangle ramming into Rookfire, that left Sleepysunrise wide open. Blackjaw bowled into the she-cat, turning to hit her with his body weight by slamming into her with his flank.
rookfire flashed a toothy grin, chipped fang shining as a visual reminder of the very much more challenging fight he had just had a couple of nights ago.
once tuftedtusk finally called for the event to start the enforcer stood to stretch calmly, joins clicking quietly. his roleplayer only realised sleepysunrise did the very same thing after he wrote that line so they are in sync now.
"alrighty, lets get this" he chirped, watching sleepy position herself somewhat behind him out of the corner of his eye. one the small feline dipped out of his view, he watched with barely disguised cockiness as mosstangle placed her tail on blackjaws shoulder. well if these two lovebirds were too busy flirting to fight rook would be the first to complain.
mosstangle was the first to launch foreward, going for his side. a bold move, she was much smaller than him but probably of a lighter build. admittedly, he only realised that she was going for his still injured side when she slammed into it, breaking scabbed over skin once more. rookfire wasnt bothered much by the impact, paws planted wide enough to remain stable and duck out of the way of her paws without much struggle. now that she was close, both him and sleepysunrise could get her.
that plan fell flat, he wasnt sure if sleepysunrise had moved, curse his limited vision, but blackjaws white form rushed past him and mosstangle. stepping sideways, the enforcer aimed to place himself in blackjaws way. while claws were forbidden, no one had really said anything about biting, still, rookfire did not wake up and chose violence today so he aimed to smack the younger warrior in the face.

The chaos broke loose in an instant, Mosstangle running straight for Rookfire while Sleepysunrise was left shielded behind him. Evidently, the partner would turn and aim for her, it was no big surprise, the young medic had spent enough time in battle to know that she wouldn’t be left unattended. But that’s what made it fun, and the nimble she needed only a heartbeat to drop and roll out of the way. Her paws skidded over the ground, eyes narrowing on Blackjaw with a grin. She darted forth – not towards the white tom – but towards Rookfire, with the intention of landing a jump on his back so she could propel herself upwards and shoulder slam down upon either feline. A little trick an enforcer had taught her way back when; twist her body in the air a ram into those thick noggins of theirs. Sleepysunrise wasn’t a big cat (quite the contrary), but even she could pack a punch with such build-up, should Rookfire be as good a diving plank as she thought him to be.

MOSSTANGLE
Shadowclan Warrior | 19 moons | Large, dark brown-and-white tabby she-cat with green eyes
~~~
There was no doubt in her mind that Rookfire would be a formidable foe. She had watched him fight before, though she expected him to be a little easier to throw around while recovering from his previous enforcer fight. She usually usually relied a bit more on her heavier set body, but she was far too light to knock the enforcer off of his paws. Not in one blow, at least. She smelled the faintest touch of blood in the air and momentarily felt bad for reopening his injuries.
Only a moment, though, as she realized it had done nothing to slow him down. Rookfire easily dodged her strikes as she saw the flash of white racing by. She could've struck at the enforcer while he turned his attention to Blackjaw, and she was about to before seeing a flash of black and white rise up into the air from behind Rookfire.
In a flash decision, Mosstangle decided a quick partner swap would be beneficial. Blackjaw could handle a few blows with Rookfire, she imagined, so the dark tabby leaped over the black and grey tom to meet Sleepysunrise in the air, though with enough force to actually stop her in the air since she hadn't even thought of using another cat as a diving board and instead thought the medicine cat was aiming to leap clear over him. If she couldn't throw her weight around against Rookfire, perhaps she could against the small, ex-enforcer medicine cat.
If she did manage to catch the medicine cat in the air, she intended to pin and send a couple of swift blows to her shoulders. She expected the smaller molly to slip out of her grasp, though, and planned to send several strikes at her to guard against counters with a far more offensive defense.
Of course, this was gonna be harder than originally thought. Although, they were fighting an enforcer, and a warrior turned medicine cat. He honestly should've expected this. Blackjaw watched as Sleepysunrise dashed off, and Rookfire took her place in front of him. A quick glance to Mosstangle told the tom all he needed to know.
Blackjaw's eyes narrowed as he picked up his speed, for the bare moment he could. The tom turned to his flank and bowled into Rookfire, hoping to knock the tom's balance off, somehow. He knew better than to assume that this would all work to plan, as he was fighting an enforcer. StarClan damnit. Stay out of your head Blackjaw, focus on the task at hand. the tom thought to himself.
rookfire let out a hollow huff when sleepysunrise misused his back as a launchpad. with sleepy obviously going for mosstangle rook turned his full attention to blackjaw with the goal in mind to get him dealt with before joining sleepysunrise in fighting mosstangle. if he could do anything, he could adapt. silver eyes flicked back to the pale warrior storming in his direction.
why was everyone trying to knock him over today? instead of letting blackjaw barrel into him, the enforcers hind legs flexed within the blink of an eye before leaping into the air. he hadnt really planned this much and the time in the air barely gave him enough time to twist and land on or close to blackjaw, if he did however, the former medic would attempt to knock the younger tom over in turn.
he must admit, for a bunch of young warriors they worked surprisingly well together. not that this meant anything. he was still certain sleepy and him would come out of this victorious and perhaps with a little more practice.
