Flytail stepped forward, his posture steady and unwavering. He dipped his head to Dawnstar briefly, but when he lifted it, his blue eyes were intense, holding a quiet fire. "I’ve been waiting for this," he said, his voice calm but laced with the weight of his past. "You gave me a chance, and I’ll make it count. I didn’t crawl my way back here just to be overlooked." He met her gaze, unwavering, as if daring her to doubt him. "I’m ready. I’ll prove I’m more than the mistakes of the past. I’ll show you I belong among the Enforcers." He gave a sharp nod and stepped back, muscles coiled and prepared, waiting for the challenge to begin.

Wha-- what the?? What do you mean, she can't fight?! Sleepysunrise must have let an absolutely indignant expression cross her face, twinged with confusion and maybe even shock. She was left wordless for several seconds, unable to comprehend that her grandmother had denied her the chance to fight, and why? Because of some stupid scar?? She could still beat their butts, even with a scar! Sleepysunrise opened her maw, wanting to protest against this declaration, but it seemed sense had hit her sister, as Birdecho spoke up and beckoned her away before she could say a thing.

An unreadable expression crossed the medic's face, screams telling her her grandmother must not trust her, must not think her capable enough to deal with a measly fight -- she wanted to snap that she hadn't lost, that that dumb creature had cheated, or something of the sort. That she could handle herself, and that her grandmother should let her fight. But with Birdecho beckoning her away, her expression turning dismayed, Sleepysunrise reluctantly nodded to her grandmother. Fine then. She would show her, she would she her she could fight (later).

Expression turning to a pout as Birdecho lead her back to the root they had originally come from, Sleepysunrise joined her sister within the heights, words and mumbles repeatedly slipping out from under her breath. Some words that could be heard included:
"I can fight... I can take it. What does she think?? They're just... dumb lumps of fur...!"
Honestly! Her head visibly twitched, roughly turning away from a sudden flash in her vision and voices overlapping in her head.
"Oh, shut it!"
She bit over her shoulder. Hmpf. She was pouting again, no matter how she tried to hide it, her tail lashing behind her.

TigerNight stepped forward, shoulders squared and tail held high. His blue eyes burned with a sharp, unflinching fire in them.

“I don’t care if I’ve only had my name a short while. I’ve worked harder than most warriors twice my age — and I didn’t stop once I earned my title. I trained like it meant something, because it does, and finished in efficient time for all I know.”

“I’ve already started to help ‘paws train, doing more work then most of the senior warriors in this clan do. I don’t slump back like half of the cat’s do the second your name changes. I didn’t claw my way through training just to sit back and waste what I’ve learned.” His claws flexed against the earth.

“I would fight whoever it takes to prove I’ve earned this.”
