Re: ThunderClan Medicine Cat's Den
Magpiewisp
He/Him || Ancient RiverClan Medicine Cat || Dark Forest
@SuspiciousMindz , @Rani , @Beaan
He missed it , the thrum of excitement in his paws, the thrill rushing through his veins. He needed to go back, experience it again, even if it was through someone else’s paws. Through someone else’s eyes. He needed it, he craved it.
The pull grew stronger, almost as if it were beckoning him, and Magpiewisp did nothing more than sink lower into the bog and allow himself to be pulled along once more.
Once again, he blinked, and was looking over the shoulder of the bengal. Perplexed at the shaggy brown lump of fur they seemed to be fretting over. Ears twitched. He’d seen it many times, a drowning. The proper procedure wasn’t followed after resuscitation, and instead they were drowning in their own air.
There it was. That thrill. One slip up and they were dead and he loved the feeling. He was a God to those he healed and helped, and they could do nothing more then plead and request for his assistance. His whiskers quivered.
”You don’t have the herbs needed for this.” he stated plainly, as if he’d been there the entire time. His body still throbbed with aches and pains from when he’d last summoned those herbs. Hopefully they were getting put to good use, they needed them desperately.
No matter, he’ll instead pull from her reserves. Pull just enough to the point where she’s on the brink of exhaustion, but not any more. He still wanted to use her after all. He didn’t know any other feline he could puppet like this.
After a pull from his soul, there they were. Appearing just as a feline nearby moved, almost as if they were seen sitting on them. A Wealthy medium sized bushel of a number of herbs. Burnet, Chamomile, Coltsfoot, Comfrey, horsetail , even Dandelion and Lavender. They’d need it all. And that’s all he could give at this point in time. He’d exhausted his resources. The scent wafting through the den, barely overtaking the stench of sweat, blood, and infection.
It took the Dark Forest tom to collect his thoughts, shaking his head as if to reset. He hadn’t done that before. He was never this generous before truth be told, but he would blame it on the excitement, the thrill.
”Your friend is still drowning. Grab the Lavender and begin wafting under the nose and rubbing the chest. They’re most likely frigid to the touch which means they’ll end up going into shock. Once that happens it’s over and not even I can save them.” a statement.
”Once you do that, grab the Coltsfoot, the small yellow flowers with big lily pad leaves, Chamomile, little white flowers with a big yelllow center , and the Burnet , those big flayed leaves. You’ll have to chew it up, and they have to swallow it. Judging based off of how they’re looking, I don’t believe they can swallow without choking and that will be a whole other issue.” a pause as the shadowy version of Magpiewisp leaned forwards in anticipation.
”any questions?”

Re: ThunderClan Medicine Cat's Den
Mudhound
Thunderclan Hornet | They/them | 40 Moons
Bilingual T3 | Flock Together T3 | Rapid Recovery | Killer Aptitude T3
They were cold. It was warm today, ever warming from the winter chill turning to spring and Mudhound was, well, slightly chubby. It was just how they were built and it was good, meant despite their usually thick warm fur being soaked on occasion they usually managed to stay warm. So why were they so so cold?
Their body was wracking in weak trembles as the cold set into their bones, simply having no blood to bleed from the gouge in their leg anymore, shock and blood loss was intermingling but dont worry! The shivering, the cold was getting better!
Yes Mudhound had been left for so long amongst the chaos they were no longer feeling cold or shivering! .....I can hear the medically knowledgeable among you panicking. For those who arent, when you were cold and stopped shivering, stop feeling cold, it wasnt for a good reason. Its because the body was rapidly loosing the bare energy to maintain its required body temperature to survive.
The fixation in their gold eyes, the bare focus they had left to stare at Bumblestar, was gone to blur. Their eyes were open, seeing, but vacant and hazy, lacking the strength to see across the den at what anyone was doing anymore. Mudhounds breath gurgled in their throat, each breath wet strained and drowning despite being long freed of the river.
Quackpaw and Sprucejumper, they had Quackpaw and Sprucejumper. What.... What would happen to Quackpaw if they died? Would they go back to Brackenclaw? Quackpaw didnt want to be trained by him though, and Sprucejumper, Mudhound knew their boy found making new bonds so so hard and just wanted him to have cats he could rely on. He had...... It was a bad sign Mudhound didnt have the hazed mind to remember the molly he'd been bonding with given her name was just said, but he had her at least but.... Mudhound wanted the world for him. For Quackpaw to not loose the light the tripod knew better then most it was so hard to keep. They hoped if they died the two would find solace with eachother, maybe Sprucejumper could become to her what Mudhound was to him.
If felt more like a when as they felt themselves slip in their own mind as time tick-ticked on with no healing. It was hard to remember why they were fighting to not just.... Slip away to sleep. Hard to remember it wouldnt be sleep.
For all he held a demon, two even, Treetiger was their savoir.
The tripod gurgled, twitching what would be a thrash as sudden movement jolted by touch on their agonized leg. It was an effective wake up however, and the fading tripod was once more granted pain fueled adrenaline to keep them alive. No pain herbs but stars besides the jolt to wakefulness Mudhound couldnt even feel it, laying perhaps too still as their mangled leg was treated.
Gold eyes drifted to their help, blinking slowly as a dark form, swapping between black and vile and perhaps something more fishy? Warped and cruel but with purpose swam in their vision. 'A weird hallucination this demon', they had enough to muse before their lagging brain recognized the cat haunted. Treetiger, they'd trained this funky little gal and liked them but struggled to find a connection.
Like they'd kidnapped Sprucejumper until he loved them and they were close but Mudhound just kinda knew in their bones that if they'd tried that with Treetiger she'd maul them. Actually the two would get on quite well in the tripods humble opinion, maybe if Mudhound died they'd find a bond there.
Because now it was if, not when.
A mangled mouth stretching into a grin as hazy eyes once more found brief focus, Mudhound lacking the energy to life their head but enough to try and fail to gurgle out Treetigers name. It failed, turning into a hacking cough but the warm weak grin around a broken mouth lingered, the tripod resorting to flexing their limp paw and claws on a nearby root. Root-tree claw-tigers, great logic.
That took what little they had for a bit however and the tripod was left vaguely complaint with her treatment and completely lacking the brainpower to note that Treetiger shouldnt know a single ounce of healing. Much less all this.
Any herbs shoved down their throat would go down rough, hacking and full of pained wheezing but Mudhound would comply with complete trust in the tabby.

Re: ThunderClan Medicine Cat's Den
Any ideas?? Yeah he has one idea. An idea that he hates this and everything that's happening around him. Still he turns to Wolfhawk, with a tilt in his head, decidedly ignoring every other voice around him, every other gasp of pain or whimper of agony.
"She's unconscious, right? so she can't eat or drink," he pauses. are they supposed to force something down her throat? "maybe we treat her like a baby bird? feed her that way?" hollowpaw suggests without confidence.

Pineblossom's eyes were wide. All these cats that had been so horribly injured in the otter patrol, and here she was after a fight with a rogue. Sure she was wounded rather nastily, as that rogue cat, beast, whatever it was, had fought so sporadically that it had torn into her deep. However, her wounds were nothing to those of the patrol.
"Don't waste time on me," she mewed firmly to the two cats assigned to help her. "I can make myself a marigold poultice and slap some cobwebs on it. The otter patrol needs your help more than I do," the queen mewed. The large she-cat winced when she tried to stand up, her shoulder shooting with pain.

Re: ThunderClan Medicine Cat's Den
Your characters cannot see or hear Entity/Magpiewisp here!
excluding the half-dead since Rani found a loophole
You may have them react to Treetiger talking to herself, herbs appearing from thin air, her sudden medical knowledge, and anything else in this post.
Proceed with caution as this character struggles with anxiety and mental issues
alongside a DF haunting

Mudhound was the new focus.
They looked terrible, worse for wear than even Spiderthroat. It was sickening. How were they overlooked?! They were gurgling, making noises Treetiger had only ever heard when she watched cats drown in their own blood. Were they doing just that?! How would she help? There was nothing she could do!
"Mudhound!"
Her voice wept out as her emotions ran over. She was shaking, almost backing out from pure panic. However, a gentle shove, a push... Entity didn't let her leave. Power from a spirit further fueling the effect it had on the Bengal. It absorbed energy, pushing herbs up from the dark haze, but appearing a mere shadow spewing these plants out. Treetiger's panicked eyes bore down into those plants, listing them off mentally as they were addressed to her.
A new voice boomed through the den: Spiderthroat. Boy, her head was pounding now. She was feeling lighter on her paws, although she ignored the way the den was beginning to spin more. It was getting hard to focus, but she managed. She had to manage for a little longer. Staggering in her position, recovering from the life she felt just get sucked from her, she turned her wild eyes to the deputy. Whether the deputy met her gaze or not, she'd watch him stagger to Bumblestar, replacing some cobwebs she'd laid. Good. Someone who called for the leader could care for her better than she could.
"Focus on Mudhound with Treetiger..." Oh, good. Experience was on the way, she hoped. She only waited briefly for Wolfhawk to approach, hoping he had ideas or knowledge enough to help here.
Deep breaths... okay, okay, focus... Inhale. Exhale. going into shock... not even I can save them... That voice... it was so distorted, but it wasn't the typical voice she heard from her friend. Was Thrush peering through right now? Who was actually there? Her mind was clouded with thoughts from another time, more knowledge than she could ever comprehend. She'd shake it weakly, it was time for work, not time to ask questions.
Mudhound Healing Continued @Rani @Alchemist Kitsune @Minku @Beaan
"Qua- Quackpaw, actually, press up against them more. Keep them as straight and as sternal as possible by supporting them with your body. Also, they're cold, right? Try to ke- keep them warm..." words were getting hard. Treetiger swayed on her paws, leaning down and grabbing the Lavendar at her paws. "Their injuries are internal... you- you can hear the gurgling," she mustered out, hoping Wolfhawk caught this. "Take this," She grasped the Lavendar, giving it to Quackpaw. "Hold it under their nose... Sprucejumper!" Her voice was running ragged now, she was using every ounce left in her to get this done. "Rub... chest, please!" Her tone was frantic.
Treetiger would wobble a little on her paws, her haunches falling to the ground as she eyed the herbs that her friend suggested next. "Chamomile, Coltsfoot.. Burnet..." she mustered out, sliding them towards Wolfhawk, who was hopefully with her now. Her green eyes settled on Mudhound's mouth. It was mangled, too. They weren't going to swallow easily, but she'd make it work. "Chew... chew them up, please," she practically begged the medicine cat, staring with wild eyes in his direction. She was declining quickly, physically looking pale in the ears and swaying on her paws, even sitting.
While Wolfhawk worked on that, Treetiger dragged her shaking body beside Mudhound. "I'm sor- sorry," she murmured near their ear before she briefly addressed Sprucejumper and Quackpaw. "Keep holding... Lavendar up, bu- but move away when Wolfhawk starts.. starts... giving herbs. Spru-" she exhaled sharply, a sharp pain in her head cutting her off and making her wince. "Sprucejumper, get on their other side... help keep them straight, give them some... warmth.."
The connection was crashing, growing weaker and weaker as Treetiger used up her leftover energy. She was running on fumes, too exhausted for her mental state to have much effect anymore. Their gateway was crumbling and sending this spirit back to its depths.
With every ounce of her strength remaining, but she grabbed the skin behind Mudhounds neck and craned their head back as far as she could muster. She was trembling, but she wasn't going to fail. She won't fail this one. She was going to try to help avoid choking. She began praying that Wolfhawk understood the task and would help get these herbs down their throat.
Any questions?
"Is this okay.... Will this work... am I done after this..." she spoke through her mind to her friend. A weakening connection as Treetiger's body grew physically and mentally more fatigued. @Starfall
Once all was said and done, Treetiger would gently set Mudhound's head back into the nest and take a step away. Wolfhawk had to take control. Her vision was beginning to tunnel, and she could feel the fainting spell taking over. Unfortunately for Sprucejumper, he was right in her fall zone.

Re: ThunderClan Medicine Cat's Den

»»——► Risingstorm | Tc | He/Him |Head Hornet ◄——««
The hornet took a step back taking violets glare as a message to stay back. The hornet glanced over at treetiger seeing herbs appear out of thin air and then her working on the deputy, honestly risingstorm wasnt fully surprised that well she could do magic, seemed up her weird disturbing ally. Risingstorm watched the creepy shecat as she worked.
-wolf/spider/bumble stuff-
And you letting your leader die also aint gonna help he snapped back Fine. Ill get you some prey he said leaving the med den, risingstorm grabbed a mouse, but he was pretty upset- no pissed with wolfhawk and hollowpaw and how they were just lazing around and letting the whole otter patrol rot, the two should know better they are the clan medics. risingstorm took a deep breath and walked back into the medics den dropping the mouse at wolfhawks paws.
Risingstorms green eyes darted over to the deputy who seemed to be waking up now, first thing spiderthroat did was yell in anger rising coudnt blame him one bit. Once the deputy asked what happened risingstorm jumped right in Well, I decided to come and check up on everyone and i came to see bumblestar looking like a corpse and half dead, TO be frank i woudnt be surprised if she lost another life, I dont know what on earth they have been doing in that time, but i know it aint healing or else our clanmates woudnt look like this. Not to mention How you were left out in the clearing before mountiantalon stepped in and he helped me move ya in here. And once confronted about it he basically said "Im doing what I can" what to me Is just being irresponsible.. he said bluntly, he wasnt gonna sugar coat it, why would there was no point in telling a lie. The hornet stayed quiet keeping a small eye on violetfreckle.
