Beechray ♣ She / Her ♣ Thunderclan warrior

Beechray padded into camp, Mallowpaw behind herself. She'd brought her out hunting. The golden pointed she-cat dropped her prey on the pile before dismissing Mallowpaw. Next up, hunting with Clouded... She'd have to go somewhere else... but that was fine, Thunderclan territory was big.

The Thunderclan warrior looked around camp carefulyl before clearing her throat "Cloudyyyyyy I wanna go hunting! Wanna tag along?" She called out, her bright gaze scanning harder as she looked for his emerging grey pelt.

She didn't want to just assume he was sleeping at this hour, though he could have been, oh well, either way he'd hear her. Beechray sat near the fresh-kill pile, waiting for Cloudedpaw to join her.

She'd really been enjoying his company. He wasn't a cat of many words, but he was pleasant to be around. Beech sighed softly, her feelings were... so confusing. She hadn't even told Mantis that she liked her yet and she was finding herself liking Cloudedpaw too. The young warrior sucked air in through her teeth as she shook her head, trying to think of literally anything but her feelings at this point.

Cloudedpaw groaned, pulling himself out of his nest. Beechray. Again. He was getting used to waking up earlier than he normally had,(Though he was still waking up late), but he was growing fond of seeing Beech every single day. Just... He didn't want to show it. Yeah, Yeah. Coming! He called, shaking his fur out before scrambling after Beechray.

Beechray had stepped into the role of mentor-of-all as soon as she had been made a warrior, having about about 4 to 5 training sessions with apprentices and 2 assessments under her belt in her first moon of being a warrior. She felt accomplished, she would tell her dad, but he disappeared, along with their mom.

Oh well, at least she was doing good. She shook the thought from her head as the tom approached "How's your day going? Sorry I've been such a pain in the ass lately- I just miss sharing a den with you an' Bug" Beechray said followed by a playful pout and a laugh.

With that she bounced toward the camp entrance, a purr escaping her throat as she waited for him before exiting camp.

"Race ya to the firefly cove!" She called out as she darted off into the forest of Thunderclan territory, occasionally glancing back to make sure he was following. She slowed as they approached the clearing of the firefly cove. It was always a favourite place of Beech's when she was an apprentice.

The golden she-cat bounced through the flower dotted clearing before stopping, remembering the whole reason they were there- hunting!

"We can split up! Then when we've got all we can carry we'll meet back here- I bet i can catch more prey than you" They teased, sticking their tongue out playfully at their clanmate.

Cloudedpaw groaned as Beechray rushed ahead, his legs stiff from sleeping. As he finally reached her, he raised an eyebrow. You got a head start. He put out with a smile, touching his nose to Beechray's. Bet ya can't. He purred, spinning around and rushing off in the opposite direction.

Her face heated up as their noses met, her breath catching in her throat. Stars... what was going on. She felt her mouth go dry as a fluttery feeling began in her chest and stomach, it felt like... nausea but... not. It was awful, she hated it, but stars she didn't want to stop looking into his eyes.

Beechray forced herself to take a breath before she passed out "Uh- n-no I won fair and square!" She said, forcing a cocky grin, her tail tip betrayed her though, twitching anxiously.

"We'll separate for a lil and meet back up here when we're done!" She said, feeling a little more confident now that her thoughts were back on hunting and not her stupid feelings.

Alright, Beech. Cloudedpaw murmured, breaking away from the young warrior. See ya when I got more prey than ya! He grinned as he ran through the wooded area, the wind rushing against his fur. He lifted his nose into the air, catching onto the scent of a squirrel. Perfect. He caught this, and he was already ahead of Beechray. [ rolls a 20 ]. The tom launched himself forward, bringing down his paw to snap the neck of the squirrel. Dead. A perfect catch, and first try. He raked his claws against the ground, picking up dirt and burying his squirrel before tossing all the dirt back on top of it. Cloudedpaw moved on, this time picking up the fresh scent of a blackbird. He ran his tongue over his teeth, crouching down low. [ rolls a 2 ]. As he pulled himself forward, he saw a flurry of feathers lift off the ground and into a nearby tree. He... Could still get it. But it'd be risky. He hadn't climbed too often. Only once, when he first learned with Beechray. Leaping forth, he landed as far up as he could on the trunk of the tree. Pulling one paw in front of the other, he quietly dug his claws in and out of the bark. There, there he was. On the fifth branch, ready to catch the bird. He'd never hunted in the air before, so all he had to do was try his best. [ rolls a 15 ]. Slowly stalking forward on the branch, it bent under his weight, and the blackbird took off. But he surprised himself, and he snagged it right out of the air. Biting its neck, Cloudedpaw tossed it onto the ground. Now, to get himself down... He wouldn't jump, it looked like a far way down. But... Beechray could jump? No, he wouldn't risk it. Lowering himself back onto the trunk, he did the reverse process of going up. He went down. When he reached the ground, he retrieved his blackbird and instantly smelled a mouse. It was getting dark, so this would be his last catch. [ rolls a 9 ]. Throwing himself forward, he would agree that it was very messy. He didn't even come near the mouse, and there it was, easily scampering away. Beech would've known better... She would've caught it... Even while comparing himself to the she-cat, he felt a surge of pride. She had smarts, and she had skill. What if... No. Not right now. Making his way back, he sat and waited for Beechray to come back.
