Squaring her shoulders, Squirrelpaw shook her head. I wanna race. The small apprentice mewed, puffing out her chest. I wanna win. She added, narrowing her eyes.

OooOohhHHh there it was. The competitiveness was back. Yesss.. Dreamheart honestly doubted that the younger she-cat would win against her, but she'd see how she went... "There we go. There's that confidence. Alright, you wanna race? We can race... I can count down, or you can." This would be fun, was the warriors honest thought. The pale she-cat hadn't raced anyone in a while. Taking her ready stance, Dream guided Squirrelpaw to the starting area, tail twitching. She crouched, dark blue eyes unfocused but unwavering, ready to start.

@Crown_Sage (Should Dream win the first one, or Squirrelpaw? I think realistically, Dreamheart would win since she has more experience, but we can always roll a dice.)

Squirrelpaw nodded. I wanna count! She put in, swishing her tail. 5...4... Go! She called, taking off, a grin on her maw.

Honestly it was kinda funny that her apprentice thought she could win. Dreamheart moons of experience under her pelt and- Hey! That wasn't a countdown! The blue/grey warrior took off with a slight growl, though she did think it was rather funny. Her longer, quicker strides soon got her level with Squirrelpaw, and within moments, she had overtaken her. The slim, compact warrior dug her claws into the tree for a brief second as she leapt, before pushing off of it and using her momentum to power between the trees with ease.

She soon came to the log, which she cleared in one big leap, dust flicked up into a cloud by her back paws. She skidded to a halt where they started, and sat down to serenely lick her paw as she waited for Squirrel. "That was an excellent try- and a tricky move, with that countdown!" She complemented when the brown she-cat came up next to her.

@Crown_Sage (yup! also, I just realized that its good that they did this now, since after that injury Dream won't be able to run very fast, or dodge very well X_X which is unfortunate, because, Windclan)

Squirrelpaw giggled. I almost won! She pouted, but shook out her fur and gave Dreamheart's ear a quick lick. Now what? What next? She asked, her tail swishing gently across the ground. She was much more calm now, after running with her mentor.

Dreamheart chuckled. "Yes.. Alright, well now we can put that dodging and weaving to good use! Time to start battle training." The warrior stood up, tail swishing, and grinned slightly as she got into a ready position opposite Squirrelpaw. "Okay, first. Try to copy my position. Then, center your balance, by finding the center of your gravity. Basically, a spot where you will not fall over, and then hold your battle position." Hopefully, that wasn't too much information at once. She didn't need another sensory overload.

Like hunting.. "Yes." Dreamheart mewed to her apprentice. "Of a sort. When you've found that balance, try to relax your muscles. Don't be stiff!" This was going well, the blue/grey warrior thought. Squirrelpaw was improving rapidly already, and her training seemed to pass by in a blur.

Squirrelpaw nodded, fixing her gaze on the ground as she lowered herself into a hunting crouch. She stuck a paw out for balance, then put it back. Steadying her tail at mid-height, she balanced herself into a hunting crouch. Like this? She murmured.
