Once again, the flame point gave a wary glance towards Arc. It really rubbed her fur the wrong way that he kept trying to push her away. And really, how much older was he? There had not been much talk about ages. Candycane exhaled softly through her nose. Maybe it would be easier to ask questions if she wasn't trying to body her way into whatever conversation he wanted to have. Cobra at least was staying, though who knew how the conversation would really end up going if it came down to butting heads.

"I can introduce you to the animals, if any of you would like. They're rather harmless." Candycane meowed, keeping any frustration out of her voice. "We won't be able to get too close to the horses, they're easily spooked you see. The sheep, however, we may get closer to, if you don't mind Lassie."

Vertigo hung in the background, watching these newcomers as they chatted with his fellow barn cats. They seemed friendly enough, but the words they used were strange. He'd heard of wild cats living out in the forest, but he hadn't realized they were so organized as to have clans. How odd.

His ear twitched as Archipelago pulled one of the clan cats to the side to inquire about their intentions. Now that was what he'd like to know. They had more than enough mice to share, but it unsettled him that there may be cats on their property for no reason. He was even more unsettled by the fact that they were almost certainly here for a reason that he and the other barn cats weren't privy to.

He padded closer to the other group, offering a small nod to Archipelago and staring curiously at Hawkfur.

The barn-cat twitched uneasily as she strained to listen through all the other voices and scents to try and focus on what was going on. Now they were hunting together? What the - are we getting too comfortable with these ‘clan cats’ or is it just me? she felt like mewing out loud, but kept to herself and straightened her posture as she stayed silent.Talking would make it more confusing, she reassured herself, awkwardly standing with her paws kneading the ground.

Vinesmoke nodded at hawkfurs orders listening to the conversation flow his ears perked up as his questions were slowly being answered. However as more cats came he realized how many there were but when candy cane mentioned the animals he couldn’t help himself. Vinesmoke's blue eyes lit up with interest, his ears angling forward as he took a small step closer. “Would it be alright if I went to see them?” he asked, directing the question to Hawkfur with a respectful nod. “I’ve seen sheep before, but never a horse—not up close.” He looked back to Candycane, curiosity clear in his expression. “Do they really get that spooked?”

Moorsong nodded at Hawkfur's order and followed him with Arc. The small molly's silver gaze watched with curiousity as even more barn cats came out of the barn. She listened closely to Candycane's description of the horses and sheeps and Lassie, that nice dog that Moorsong was still wary of.

Vinesmoke wanted to go see the animals. Moorsong couldn't necessarily blame him, but nonetheless, Hawkfur had ordered her and Vinesmoke to stay with him. The queen didn't speak, keeping her opinion to herself per usual as she waited for Hawkfur's verdict on the situation.

Dreamlight relaxed a little as Hawkbite more or less gave them all their orders. She was mostly happy that he was taking Vinesmoke and Moorsong with him. She turned her head towards where she last heard Littlepaw's voice.

"Don't go anywhere without me, please. Or at least ask before you wander." She couldn't see if the apprentice tried to sneak off. But aside from the potential trouble she might get into if Littlepaw was harmed or endangered under her watch, she'd feel so insanely guilty.

She trailed off where she last heard Snowyskies' voice, she was pretty sure it was Snowyskies, and began following her to where she hoped the mice were. It sounded like the other young one, Apple, was coming with them. She assumed Jackrabbit was tagging along by default.

"Um, I'm not the biggest dog-lover. Will this "Lassie" leave us be if we don't bother her?" Dreamlight admits, with one of her ears plastered against her head in discomfort. She'd still go even if this dog was a pest, she'd just have to constantly remind her not to swipe, hiss, or bite the dog.

Snow looked at Dreamlight at her question. She could tell the warrior was apprehensive about the dog, but then most cats would be. "Nah, Lassie is fine." She mewed, her voice happy pitched. "Her job is ta protect those sheep righ' over yonder. She dun bother wit us." Snowy Skies hoped that would help, but she wasn't certain. Cats with only negative experiences with dogs, who hadn't lived with a dog before, would find this difficult to believe.

"Sometimes, these...er whaddaya call 'em...Upwalkers? Twolegs? Anyways, sometimes they train their dogs to live peaceably wit us cats." She hoped that...made sense. She couldn't fathom how to even begin explaining what training is. As they entered the barn, the scent of hay, sheep, and mice flooded Snowy Skies senses. She couldn't but purr, this place had everything her previous home lacked. She turned to Littlepaw and Dreamlight. "Y'all are in the barn now, darlin's. Ya can probably smell all the mice 'ere by now." She mewed with a smile and a wink. "I toldja we had plenty!"

Littlepaw would cast Dreamlight a curious glance. Everyone seemed to be apprehensive of this situation, but Littlepaw hadn't seen any problems yet. Was it she was too naive? Too trusting of these outsiders? She liked to think her enthusiasm simply kept her out of precarious situations. Either way, she was still but an apprentice, so she'd listen to Dreamlight. "Yes, ma'am," she spoke to the warrior before bidding her attention to Snowy Skies.

"A friendly dog? That's crazy! I almost wanna see it ta believe it," she half joked, but honestly, it wasn't out of her realm of things she'd do. Of course, she wouldn't wander that direction, not without Vinesmoke or Dreamlight. Her curiousity sometimes got the better of her, but she wasn't stupid. This was not a situation she'd risk finding out for.

As they entered the barn, the scents of mice and birds grew strong. Her nose twitched excitedly, and her tail flicked Dreamlight's shoulder with anticipation. On top of the scents, the inside of the barn was crazy!! Her eyes wandered throughout the structure, noting things she'd never seen before. The straw beneath her pawpads had a weird texture, making her claws flex into them. "This place... is so cool..." she half murmured to herself. The excitement of a new situation would begin to die down as her mind went back to the goal: hunting. She could explore while she hunted.

"Dreamlight, issa enclosed area wit lot 'o place ta hide. Can I go huntin'? I'll stay within earshot," she promised, hoping the she-cat would trust her. She didn't necessarily want to do partner hunting, but if Dreamlight needed that security or didn't trust her fully, she'd obey. Her blue eyes would shift towards the youngest of the group: Apple. Would they join in on the hunt, too? Maybe she could chat with that one while they hunted? Perhaps give them some tips and tricks? Good bonding moment?!
