Ashpaw smiled right back at the queen. It was still pretty exciting to be an apprentice, now!
Anything specific... Anything specific... Aspenkit had a good point. He did want to know everything! But... a good place to start did come to mind. "What about..." Wow, there really was a lot of things that came with clan history. "Clan leaders and what they've done?" He asked. He knew about some things Dawnstar has done... but only the recent things. It would be interesting to know how not only what she's done... but any previous leaders as well.

Nightshiver giggled, happy to see both apprentice and kit so happy to be here and ready to learn. She would have to be sure to give a good history lesson, then! The queen gestured for both to settle in close, humming. "I don't... know if... I.. can...can cover...everything. But... I'll do... my best."
She purred, clearing her throat to begin speaking.
"Long..ago, shortly before.. I was born.... in fact, we resided.... in...in a territory... different... from this.. one. ShadowClan was... recovering.. from a spat... with outsiders... and somehow... we were... without a leader... or deputy. You can... imagine.. that the.. the clan was... in chaos, when one... of our.. warriors.... received... a sign from... StarClan; Iceheart... had been... chosen as... ShadowClan's.... newest... leader, with... Crowtail... as her... deputy. Now, I don't... believe... Crowtail was... was around.... for very... long, but Icerstar.... remained for...for almost... a season...cycle. Her leadership... required her... to build... ShadowClan... back up, and make us.... strong. She had... a great... desire... to prove... ShadowClan... was.. was the..the strongest.... clan in... the forest."

Bonepaw didn't budge when she gave him a quick lick.
He didn't mind it, after all.
Such things never really bothered him.
When she asked if he wanted to help, Bonepaw nodded. "Sure."
He goes a bit further into the den, picking the moss as he did.
His ear twitched as he listened to Nightshiver explain what she was doing.
That can't be too hard.
Just cleaning nests.
And listen, he's barely into apprenticeship and not the best at cleaning nests.
His is... it's existing, that's for sure.
Mostly because he just doesn't focus on doing that.
He's sure he can do it if he just, well, actually does it.
At the moment, he's not too sure where to start, though.
Again, he's sure it'll be easy though.
Not many cats would be able to mess up cleaning nests.

Her eyes softened, watching the young 'paw pick up moss and begin helping her with cleaning these few nests. Though, he looked minorly lost, and Nightshiver let out a little mrrp as she noticed, trying to get his attention. She decided to pretend and act like she couldn't see him struggling, and simply wanted to give an example of how she did it. "Look,"
The forever queen purred, using her claws to rake together some of the older and dirtier moss, while the edges of the nest remained mostly in tact. "When.. the nest... isn't too.. too dirty... I leave... the edges as a...a base."
She explained softly, setting old moss aside to then pick up cleaner one, and using her paws to deftly place the clean moss and weave it together between strands, until a new bedding was formed for whomever wanted this nest. "And I...sometimes use... bendy...bendy sticks, weaved... together to... reinforce... the sides, to create... a hollow... in the... middle."
She then explained, running a paw alongside the raised edges of the nest.
