Crowkit looked between Moorsong and his sister for a moment. Her brother was like Cardinalkit, huh? Her story sounded sweet. Cardinalkit did bring him shiny rocks and pebbles a lot, but not as pretty as this one. "Are all the rocks in the stream like this one...?" He asked, pawing at the smooth, white stone. The strange, pinkish hue was new to him. Usually the rocks he got around the camp had no colored sheen, just sparkled a little.

Cardinalkit puffed her chest out proudly. Of course she was protective of her brother! He was afraid of everything! He wouldn't have even left the nursery if not for her. There was another question, though. One that tickled her mind. Moorsong's protective brother... "Where's your brother?"

Robinflight took the distraction for the kits as a chance to relax and loaf behind her little troublemakers. Her attention was, however, brought back when she heard Cardinalkit's question. Yellow eyes back on Moorsong, a look of "I can take them somewhere else" on her face, not sure if the fellow molly wanted to talk about her brother.

Moorsong shook her head. "Not all, but lots of them do," she mewed, talking about the rock. "The stream wears away lots of the rocks dust since its moving water, so the true color gets to shine through," she purred.

Moorsong was back to focusing on the sheen of the rock, her focus only broken by Cardinalkit's words. The queens silver gaze snapped up, meeting Robinflight's. The younger molly gave the queen an understanding look, shaking her head. "My brother hunts with the stars,"the she-cat mewed quietly, looking at Cardinalkit and Crowkit.

Robinflight relaxed into her loaf as she received the signal that, for now, everything was fine.

Crowkit's eyes widened. How could something as soft as water wear away stone? That was crazy! Surely, something else must have been involved. Maybe the water carried other stones, actually, and that's what wore down the stones... Or, maybe there were strange bugs in streams that ate rocks. The little black tom didn't like the idea of that. "So... the water... has things in it that eat rocks?" He wasn't a big fan of bugs, not like his sister. The solution was simple... He should never go near the streams, even if he wanted the stones inside.

He also wasn't sure how he felt about the molly's brother. He didn't want Cardinalkit to die, but was that the fate of a cat like Moorsong's brother? If that was the case, how did he prevent that? What a scary thought. He didn't know what he would do without her, and the idea of stepping up for any reason... He was frozen just thinking about it.

"With the..." Cardinalkit paused, green hues dropping to the shiny stone in front of the molly. Moorsong's brother hunted with the stars... Like, how mama had explained what had happened to those other cats that were mentioned by Twilightstar in the last clan meeting. Mama had also said to let the others who were grieving to grieve in peace. Little kits were not the best at comforting cats they knew, let alone cats they didn't.

"Well... I'm sure he's happy you're sharing the stone." She finally managed to say, though her tone was matter-of-fact as though she had heard it from Moorsong's brother's mouth herself. After all, if she was like him, then she would feel the same way. Maybe. Or not? Her confidence felt a little rocked for the moment.

Moorsong gave an amused purr at Crowkit's question. "Not quite," she mewed. "Water is actually super powerful when you think about it," she purred.

Moorsong gazed thoughtfully at Cardinalkit for a moment. "I'm sure he would be," she mewed, her silver gaze looking steady into the kits. "You will both always be each others biggest supports," Moorsong mewed, her gaze becoming warm again. "No matter what arguments you get into, you will always have each other,". Moorsong thought back to her last full conversation with her brother, an argument ending in a harsh farewell.
