[p] Far drive, totally worth it

Hollyhawk ♦ He / Him ♦ Windclan warrior

Hollyhawk padded through the territory, his mother next to him. The two were enjoying casual conversation while out on a hunt. Once they arrived at their hunting destination they agreed to meet back up here once they felt they'd caught enough prey.

The large Windclan warriors gave each other a nod before heading off in their respective directions. Holly made his way toward the outsider border, he'd been checking this border more frequently since his run in with his father, then Fallensky's exile. A heavy sigh left his maw as he continued on, pausing for a moment as he neared.

His ears were perked as he listened for any signs or prey, predators, intruders or Fallensky. He lifted his nose to the sky, parting his maw. He could smell... cats for sure. They weren't from here and didn't seem to be too near... though he couldn't be sure. Holly hesitantly scanned the vast territory beyond the Windclan border, his bright green eyes narrowed to slits.

Oh finally. Someone had arrived! Wonderous, wonderous, the celebrations could begin. "Hello!" she meowed regally, kindly. Acting as if she caerd for this cat. She didn't. Really, really, didn't. In fact she couldn't care less for WindClan in particular. But still.

Green eyes looked back at the green eyes she could see, scanning the fur, scenting the air for other cats. Only stale tracks. Except this cat. Maybe they were so stinky they got in the way. "Is there something you need?" she said, smiling.

Holly's brows furrowed as he noticed the loner and heard her cheerful greeting "Uh- hey-" He was cut off by her next words, looking down to make sure he had not yet crossed the border into outsider territory "Uh- N-no? You're um- kinda close to the Windclan border- You should probably back up a bit- or like- leave" The large mostly white tom said, confusion clear in his tone and gaze. It was so easy to chase his dad off, but this cat was a complete stranger. He had no real reason to start off as hot as he had with his father.

"Why should I?" she meowed simply, looking at the cat. She hadn't broken any rules, any laws of the clans. Why? No clue. "I was just wandering. Is there an..." she lifts a paw, claws unsheathed, "issue that I need to solve for myself?"

His whiskers twitched at her response "Because- This territory belongs to Windclan- I'm being very friendly, any other cat would-" He was cut off as he noticed her unsheathed claws. The decently new Windclan warrior swallowed nervously, shifting his gaze from her lifted paw to her eyes.

Hollyhawk felt anxiety beginning to gnaw at his stomach, his pelt bristled lightly as he tried to keep his nerve. He wasn't a bad warrior, but he wasn't the most skilled fighter. He much preferred spending his time underground. The large mostly white tom took a shaky breath, failing at keeping a confident exterior.

Holls flicked his tattered ear "Is that a threat?" He said, unsheathing his own claws "If you fight me, you're fighting all of Windclan" He said, hoping that would be enough to at least scare the she-cat off.

Shocking! They had realised?? Wowsers. This was a first for the cat, she was so confused. Not really. Just a little bit of a shock. She didn't exactly care, however. Whatever. Butterfly looked at the cat. Confidence seemed to be... weak, on his part. She looked at him. "So?" she lowered her paw, but her claws were still perfectly ready to slash. "Is that what you want?" they meowed coolly, a gaze looking down on the cat. "I didn't ask for a fight when I came here, but clearly...."

The act had faded. A fight miiiggght mess up her fur, but, but, buuuut... It would be fine. It didn't matter, not at all. She didn't care. "You seem to be looking for one." Claws unsheathed from before, she took the initiative, tail flicking and paw aimed for the face.

Hollyhawk pinned his ears back "I- No- I don't want to- If you'd just leave we wouldn't need to- As a warrior of Windclan it's my job to keep outsiders out-"

He sighed, knowing he wasn't going to escape this without a fight, his gaze shot around for a moment, searching for Daywhisper, was she in earshot? Would she be able to get their in time if he called out. Why did he even separate from her in the first place? Well- He knew why he did, he had better luck hunting alone but stars... he hadn't expected this.

"I'm simply looking for what is best for my clan- my home" He said raising his voice a bit, hoping day would hear him. The large mostly white tom's tail lashed behind him as he crouched, his gaze now locked on the outsider, waiting for her to make the first move, hoping she'd just leave, though at this point it seemed unlikely.
