Ah, what a warm day. Ashpaw relaxed in front of the apprentice den, sunbathing comfortably.

Nestled in his nest, lightly kneading his skinned rabbit pelt, Bleedingpaw could help but stare at a familiar pelt across the den from him. Cat after cat had vanished, even before their shared mother had betrayed them. The golden bengal was close with few, especially after how shallow he discovered love to truly be, one last harsh lesson from Lostspark but.... Well he couldnt help but feel guilty for it.
Once upon a time he'd wanted desperately to be accepted and loved by his siblings, shying away due to fear he'd disturbed them by his closeness to their mother. But now that that relationship had been marred by hurt and betrayal still he stayed away, only lingering by Sleepysunrise. Why?
....Maybe it was fear they too would hurt him like Lostspark did. He could handle more Moonpaws but for someone else to get close and use that (intentionally or not) to hurt him? It'd break what fragile self was left.
But doing nothing out of constant fear of that occurring, letting chances rot until things potentially became too late..... Caution turned cowardice was not something Bleedingpaw could tolerate in himself.
So he eventually stood, wobbling his way over (hissing apologies to the cats his wild movements disturbed) until he stood by Wispypaw. It was early enough most were awake, simply winding down for the day, yet his still hesitated, worried about disturbing her before speaking. "I guess its just us left as apprentices now.... I- Do you....." The toms words hushed, even as they were ripped from his throat, an insecure piece of himself desperate to know. "Do you also feel like they've left us behind sometimes?....."
They, the disabled ones, they the most impacted of the siblings were the only two left as apprentices and though Bleedingpaw had expected it.... Well it still stung. Sleepysunrise seemed to tolerate him if he made the effort to approach her but Quietraven, Birdecho and Cinderspark.... They might as well be 'dead' like their mother was for all he saw them anymore. Did Wispypaw have more of a relationship he wondered? Or was she too left behind.
Wispypaw I make bad decisions, bad decisions + she/her[they/them to those she has told] + Heightened Perception [hearing, active] + Shadow fiend + Kitty softpaw t2 + Blind
Normally one wouldn’t catch them in the apprentices den, it felt like a stuffy tree just standing in here. Doesn’t help the fact the last time they even went near this horrid den was when grandmothers offspring went on a howling spree. Starclan or whatever better save their souls or Wispypaw was going to drag them all to hell with them . They were still angry about getting lectured about all the loud festivities that night, they weren’t even the one screeching!
Beforehand they used to come in and sleep in a nest often, but that was when Cinderspark was still here. Yet as soon as they became paws, Wispy had noticed how little the moments they had with their sibling. Had noticed how the lack of presence the other sibling had around camp or with them. Having dealt with mother focusing so much of her attention on being a medicine cat, the partial abandonment of the could call it that. It was like it was happening again though with a sibling they thought had their back.
They couldn’t really care that much for the others or even their supposed twin. Sure they were all born to the same parents but none of them had even bothered that much to even acknowledge them. So imagine how it hurt to sit and hear the one sibling you thought cared just leave them behind like some unwanted trash. Not only did it hurt but it angered them, they weren’t some piece of crow food that was left to sit and decay.
They’d been steaming for a while in their head m, not asleep but covering their face. One thing that was a benefit to being blind was that no light would be bothering them, they had complete darkness technically. The only downside they found so far was they’d never get to see what anyone looked like nor what their surroundings appeared as. So they were a bit surprised when they heard someone approaching them before they heard the voice.
There was only one cat they could attach a name to that they’ve at least talked to before, Bleedingpaw. They’ve angled an ear in his direction, a clear sign they were listening or at least heard him. ”all the time” and wasn’t that the truth they had yet to get a taste of the feeling of the opposite. ”thought I suppose with the family we have, it’s normal at this point makes me wonder what a normal one is supposed to be like” came their own hushed muttering as they lifted their head. They kept their gaze forewarn but did turn their head a bit to give their sibling some respect, one of the only few they wouldn’t put right be snappy to but anyone else was fair game.

Deerpaw cleaned her whiskers after finishing her meal, but there was still some left! Oh dear. She looked around, somewhat panicked, she knew it was against the code to waste prey. Hopefully somecat near her was hungry or something. She spotted Ashpaw nearby, letting out a breath of relief. "U-Um...I'm s-sorry..." She mewed quietly, trying to get his attention. "Are you um...h-hungry by any chance?" She asked, pushing her prey, a mouse, towards him. "I-I'm afraid I'm rather full s-so..."

Ashpaw had drifted off into daydreaming. His eyes narrowed and relaxed as he sunbathed, he imagined what it would have been like to be part of the clan cats that had pushed Riverclan from their territory in order to keep the peace of the clans. There would've been an epic battle, with passhion and fear running high. "To protect the order of things!" He imagined he would've cried out as the riverclanners asked why this was happening...
A voice reached through his imagination, quickly followed by the scent of fresh-kill. Ashpaw opened his eyes fully to look up at the fellow apprentice. He sat up and grinned at her. He'd never really talked to Deerpaw before, but no time like the present, surely! "Hi! Don't worry, I'd be happy to eat some!" He purred, crouching down to munch on the remaining mouse that had gone unfinished. He had been a bit hungry, so he didn't see any issue with this!

Deerpaw couldn't help a small breath of relief as she exhaled. "O-Oh good!" She purred, returning to cleaning off her whiskers and muzzle for a moment. "Ah!" She realized, she might have bothered Ashpaw by interrupting him! "I-I hope I didn't intrude or anything..." She mumbled, blinking apologetically to her denmate as she shuffled her paws anxiously.
